They're struggling to get one aircraft program going. they've started with the most beneficial aircraft. At this point adding the Warthog would distract from the F16 program and they might get shot down pretty fast anyway. Have you noticed that the SU-25s keep getting shot down? I think that A-10s could be used effectively but F-16s are more useful at this point so why be distracted with anything else?

After about 5 minutes I stopped watching the video. He seems to be giving us theoretical and hopeful answers without any real knowledge of the real life situation. He seems to believe that Ukraine is being provided better updated airplanes than what I've been hearing. I HOPE he's right and that they get great stuff, sufficient training and find lots of success. I HOPE that these F-16s are able to get some of the latest AIM 174 B missiles to shoot down a few Sukois at long-range. That would really give the Russians something to think about similar to when Ukraine had the roving Patriot air defense system. I HOPE they are provided nato weapons like the JASSM missile and are given permission to use all this stuff to its full capability. However, hope is not a strategy and given the rules of engagement that have been imposed regarding ATACMS missiles, I can't be too optimistic at this point. Various versions of the F16 have been pledged and committed to Ukraine. It will be very interesting to see what is actually delivered. Especially interesting will be what's delivered this year, what the rules are for how they can be used and what weapons they are provided with. I am very hopeful but not counting on hope...

@jonlittle5032 The tactic only worked that time because the tactics of the F-16 failed. Flying the same route over and over is lazy and careless... and costly.

@davidlanders2853 I'm not sure which planes they're getting from which country or in what order. A lot of versions of the plane have been pledged or committed but it will be very interesting to see what is delivered, especially what is delivered this year.

@jonlittle5032 I was mostly responding to the comment you made where you asked why wouldn't that tactic work on another day. It wouldn't work on another day because they wouldn't repeat the same noob mistake twice.

@derloos I wish Pompeo's plan was meaningful but he doesn't represent Trump. Even if he did, you never know what trump's gonna do. He could go in any direction at any time. Same with Vance. Vance's opinion seems to be very much for sale to the highest bidder.

They have been using their current jets very cautiously because they can afford to loose them. To get the maximum capability from the F16 they will have to attempt things that are more risky. If they're given what they need to do certain missions and they do everything correctly it should work, but if any part of it fails the planes could be very vulnerable.
