I still cant understand your hatred for Ted Cruz. He's a constitutional scholar, and a very smart one at that. He was almost the ONLY Republican that went to the mat for us against Obamacare. I get it that most people who think like you (I'm not claiming to read your mind) reactively hate him because he's a practicing Christian ... gasp.... but he's pretty much the closest thing to a true libertarian you will ever get with that level of power in government.
Ted Cruz's "Christendom" is leaps and bounds better for America than Obama's, Pelosi's, and the rest of the Dem's religion of identity politics, environmentalism, socialism and all the other things they worship.
Does it really boil down to you (and many of your followers) hate him for his religion? Or maybe his stance on weed? Is that all you care about? Let me guess, your excuse is "big business", "big banks", or something like that. Well, like it or not, big business, including banks, are what makes the world go around, and this country operate. You will not find many politicians without some form of connection to, or take money from, business or banking. Rand Paul isn't even totally innocent there.
So with the field of politicians we have around the whole country, Ted Cruz is far closer to your libertarian and constitutional beliefs than not.
Of course he's not perfect, but he's still a much better choice to have on our side than any of his opponents. I just dont see the point in the constant hate against him. It seems like many people hate him just because they think they're supposed to, without really knowing why.

Styx, we're not haters. I've been watching you since before Trump. I've seen you getting drunk in old videos. I remember you smoked. I also remember you quitting. I remember some of your "inspirational" videos suggesting to give up vices. I watch your videos for interesting commentary from the point of views from "our" side, as opposed to all the left wing corporate news & commentary and similar internet personalities (such as TYT). I've tried watching you on Rumble (I also have a channel there) several times but for some reason I just can't get used to Rumble. You put up about three videos a day, seven days a week, plus usually an hour stream each day. My point being, your life is out there for all of us to see. We can see when you act different. We can see when you're under the influence.
And yes, of course, that's your business and you can do whatever you want. But don't get upset when people notice.
About the debate, you could have said, "I'm gonna sit with my new girlfriend and we're gonna party and watch the debate - come watch with us"!
But you didn't warn us, so we expected an honest and thoughtful analysis of the debate. You were 100% obviously under the influence of some substance. It made you act odd and any thoughtful analysis was basically nonexistent.
Then you deleted it and blamed it on insomnia. That was insulting to all of us who've watched you for about a decade.
Next, the war video, where it's obvious you were again under the influence of something. Here you admit you were "a little tipsy" but claim that's not the reason why people are accusing you of using alcohol, weed, mushrooms, or whatever.
Here's a life tip from someone older than you - If you literally HAVE been drinking, and someone claims they can tell because of your actions or speech, BELIEVE THEM! Don't say, "I am tipsy, BUT..."
We all are fans of you and want you to stay clear and level headed when you report on current events. We'd rather not see various drugs distorting your views or accentuating your emotions. Nor do we want to see you falling into the trap of addiction or using those drugs to counter whatever else is happening in your life.
Please take care of yourself in a good, healthy way. If not for yourself and your family, then for the fans who come for intelligent political analysis.

Always remember - you dont HAVE to keep doing YouTube. It's not a prison sentence. You are your own boss. You can take a week off, you can quit entirely, or you could simply just do it when you feel like it (as opposed to three vids every morning). You dont have to be a slave to YouTube. Saying that, I hope you stay, and continue as you are. I like watching your political vids every day, or at least catching up with them all if I miss a day or two. Obviously, lots of other people feel the same way.
I'm the same way about "vacations". To me, they are much more stressful than not.
The drinking thing, thats the saddest part of this video. There are countless stories, both public and private, of people falling into the trap of depending on drink or drugs to "function" or "cope" with daily life. It often starts as harmless, but once it's realized as being a problem, its often too late and the damage is done. Not only mentally, but literally physically. If you've gotten to the point that you HAVE to drink to function properly (such as sleep), you have a problem. Its good to hear that you already understand this. Obviously I dont have the solution, but it's clear that drinking or drugging is not it.
(ps. It's the same with weed. So many people claim its harmless, not addictive, or whatever, but many of those same people CAN NOT function properly or get through a day (or week) without it. They will go so far as to lose their job over their desire to indulge in it - thats a problem).
The new look seems to be a symptom of a problem, not a positive thing. The flat, midnight black hair (especially along with a long sleeve, buttoned up black shirt) just doesnt look right. It looks like a midlife crisis thing, where a 30-something is trying to look like a teenage goth kid of 15 years ago. Your natural hair suits you much better.
You have a lot of fans who are loyal to you, and want the best for you. You say publicly what a lot of people think, but dont have the opportunity to publicly pronounce. I think many will still follow you and appreciate you even if you changed your uploading schedule to something lesser, or even to a non-schedule to uploading any random time you feel like putting something out there.
Beyond that, it's clear YouTube has opened up many opportunities to you. Maybe you could look into some freelance or guest opportunities that are out there. Im sure you wouldnt like doing a regular, stoic, 9-5 corporate job, but there are definitely chances to do smaller things without such commitments.
I hope whatever situation youre in right now finds a peaceful and productive conclusion.
I know many of your fans are wishing the best for you!

Funny you mentioned a smaller channel with around 80k getting struck right off YouTube, and how it would feel! That describes me exactly, about 5 weeks ago! I appealed, and got rejected. There was no way to contact anyone at YouTube. I received no warnings. There was no explanation. ("severe or multiple violations of the TOS"). I honestly had no idea what I did wrong. I was devastated. This is my income. Not only do I LIKE using YouTube, but I NEED to, for my livelihood. It was all ripped right out from me, with no explanation, and no way for me to talk to anyone. I no longer had access to partner support.
Luckily, sometime over a year ago, there was some kind of Partnership Creator Help Program in which a YouTube employee reached out to me to take a paid survey. He had contacted me via a real email address at YouTube (not a "noreply" one).
Out of desperation, I sent him an email asking for help, and he actually answered me! He said he no longer worked in that department, but he would forward my email up to someone with some authority (not his exact words, but similar). After one day, my channel came back!
I thank that man in my head almost every day since then. Its a sickening feeling to see 9 years worth of irreplaceable work and my monthly income simply disappear with no reason and no recourse. I couldn't even comment on anyone's videos, since I no longer had a YouTube ID! If not for that email I had saved, and that single person who helped me, I dont know what I would have done - it's a good bet that I wouldn't have my channel back.
I STILL have not gotten a reason for their action. Once I was re-activated, I contacted Partner Support and asked for clarification. For one reason, just to not make the same mistake again. For whatever reason, YouTube refuses to say exactly what my issue was.
But I'm not complaining, I'm thankful to get my channel back. That was one depressing week.....

This is not specifically towards you, but to everyone else commenting here. and whoever else reads this. This is the exact reason why we're losing this war. The media, academia, and the liberals/leftists/progressives/Democrats have turned this country upside down. What is good is bad, and what is bad is good.
THEY are controlling everything. It doesn't matter that well over half the country is actually conservative. They have conditioned people to believe WE are the minority, and that OUR way of thinking and acting is not the norm.
When we are afraid to speak up, afraid to correct blatant lies, afraid to even give honest answers when asked, we have lost the battle. And it will only get worse if we continue this way.
We need to change the tide, and make THEM ashamed to admit the idiotic stuff they believe in.
Obama's Iran "deal" -INSANE to any normal thinking person, same with that Paris Climate Accord, his Bergdahl "trade", the same. And the list goes on and on. Yet if we question this idiocy, WE'RE the neanderthals, racists, etc....
We cant just let this keep going on. I make my living mainly from my YouTube channel, and for most of the time, I stayed away from politics (I didnt want anyone to know my views, for fear of losing subscribers, views, getting thumbs down, etc..) But a couple years ago, I realized what was happening to this country, and I realized the country as a whole is more important than my YT income. I started making my case anywhere I saw necessary, and will never cave in to the leftists for fear of reprisal. I do the same thing in my regular life. There are WAY more of us than of them, we just haven't made ourselves known. We need to!
We need to let them know that THEY are the ABNORMAL ones and THEIR ideas are on the fringe, not the other way around.

@rickspalding3047 But you'll vote for Rand, right? And in the meantime while we bash Cruz nonstop & refuse to vote for him, people like Kasich, Bush, and heaven forbid, Democrats, keep getting elected. Sorry, I honestly just dont get it.
And as I mentioned in my original comment, I knew the "banking" thing would come up. Tell me, has any of your other choices dismantled the banking industry, or the Fed? Who did you vote for that has accomplished that? Who has even tried?
So even though Cruz is on your side , closer than about 95% of the other candidates, and one of only a handful I could count on my fingers that is as conservative and true to the constitution, youre gonna throw that away and accept another RINO or Democrat?

My sentiments exactly! I have a love/hate relationship with YouTube. I have always loved YouTube, and have been addicted to it for many years now. But I HATE the political direction it's owners and directing entities try to push it, and I hate their whole management style and how as a platform, they will direct nearly all their resources into making frivolous changes or silly features (usually political, such as promoting GBLT, etc), yet refuse to add features we hard-core users have been asking for for a long time now, such as a repeat button on the player among many other things, let alone ending several things many users liked, like the YT editor.
YouTube is an incredible website, and certainly has the opportunity to be more useful and more relevant than FaceBook, but they really need a whole new management team to take advantage of the potential they sit upon.....

Thanks for reminding people that! I get sooo tired of the commenters on here always saying mainstream media is dead, that NOBODY gets their news from them, nobody ever watches them..... as if the entire country is exactly like the 30-60k people that watch Styx's videos.
It's simply not true. CNN plays 24/7 in bars, hotels, hospitals, airports, small-business waiting rooms across the country.
And the people who usually see it are not "news junkies" - this may be the only news they ever see. So whatever CNN is saying, that's all those people know about things!
And obviously, there ARE still people who watch it at home. When the recent concert bombing happened, I didn't come to Styx for coverage, I went to Fox TV. But I also clicked over to CNN to see if they had any information, too.
It's getting really old, hearing all these followers constantly believing that nobody is watching or seeing mainstream media (legacy media) anymore, or that it isnt and cant influence people anymore.
People are still, and will continue to be influenced by then legacy media well beyond 2020. We cant just assume everyone ONLY watches Styx for "news", like so many people on here seem to believe.

The rise in health costs can also be linked with the ever growing belief that it is a right, and must be paid for by someone other than the individual. It all started back with wage controls, when employers were forced to lure/keep workers by offering health insurance, rather than wages. Once most of the big businesses had done this, it became the norm with nearly all businesses. Once the populace got conditioned to the fact that they were not responsible for paying for medical services (or even prescriptions), nor even caring about the price (because who cares? they didnt pay for it!), it just snowballed from there.
Add in a few malpractice lawsuits, and the joke of a scam 'higher learning' is in this country, and medical costs would inevitably skyrocket - to the point we are today.
And no, I have no easy solutions. I am staunchly right-wing mainly, but some days I just give up and want to bite the bullet and say, just go to a single-payer, medi-care-to-all solution. But generally, I believe the best answer would be to go back to a simpler system, where the individual pays directly for all minor visits/prescriptions/procedures - where he can doctor shop, compare prices, etc... and only carry catastrophic insurance to cover major, bankruptcy-inducing calamities.
Sort of like car insurance. You dont use insurance to change your oil, replace tires, brakes, maybe even a paint job or minor dent. You pay those directly, where you choose the vendor, and the price you pay. Save the insurance for the major accidents.
But we've been so brainwashed for so many years, I doubt such a system could ever be implemented again :-(
Also, I think tort reform is needed, and I'd go so far as an overhaul of our college system. It too, has gotten way overpriced, due to many of the same reasons. Tenure. The common belief that it's a right, and everyone deserves whatever amount of college they desire. And the fact that so many do not pay their tuition directly. All of this had made college incredibly bloated and overpriced. Way too many unnecessary classes, unnecessary book requirements, on and on...
Doctors and medical professionals have to go through all this, taking more years than needed, and much more money than needed. Thus they are induced to charge ever-rising rates.

but there's many times that, who have never heard of any of this. they only know that trump is racist, sexist, groped innocent women, has no experience, and that hillary is smart, has lots of experience, cares about middle class people, cares about minorities, etc...

Yep! Styx seems to have some type of PTSD about "80's Christians/conservatives". Evidently something bad happened to him at some point. His claim to fame is his intellect and truthfulness but when it comes to that subject, he's ALL emotion and over the top generalization, with some propaganda and exaggeration thrown in.
Now that I look back, after seeing what has happened/where we've come, I would MUCH rather have some white Christian male telling me it's not good to start smoking marijuana, or that girls belong in the girls restroom, and boys in the boys restroom, then some half purple, half shaved headed transgendered male who identifies as non gender telling me I'm the root of all the problems in the world because I'm white, as he/she burns the American flag while exposing him/herself, smoking a bong, blocking traffic, throwing rocks at hard working Korean business owner's shops, while making out with an African American who has never been to Africa and couldn't even find it on a map because schools dont teach geography anymore.

I feel so bad for being from the place of Elijah Cummings. I always vote against him, and tell other people why. He just has a lock on the minorities, and I think seniors. He just cant be beaten unless the demographics around here drastically change. He's one of the most worthless, ignorant, insincere, lying, corrupt buffoons in politics, but just like Maxine Waters, the majority of the constituents are either too stupid to understand, too racist, or just want more free stuff from Govt. to allow anyone else to ever represent them.

Yep. I remember as a teen, Baltimore had a nice new expressway refurbished, and called it "Harbor City Freeway" (or boulevard, I cant remember that part). It sounded nice, modern, and welcoming, and made the Baltimore Harbor sound special and an important destination. Well, not too long after, thanks to certain groups who inhabit the area, it was renamed "MLK Boulevard" - making it sound like, and become, a ghetto. Definitely no longer a welcoming "destination".

Unfortunately, a lot of people do. Obviously the older people do because that's all they've known their whole lives. But also, waiting rooms across the country often play the mainstream syndicates (NBC, CBS, ABC), which play biased fluff like The Today Show, The View, etc... or Cable News (CNN, MSNBC) nonstop all day. So not only do all the customers or patients have to sit and watch it, but all the employees have to hear it in the background, all day, every day. Also, many patients in hospitals have a very limited choice of what they can watch from their beds, and it's almost always either mainstream media or some medical/pharma-centric advertising loop.

@25taylorkw He said Democrat controlled big CITIES, not states. Stop trying to muddy the water deflect the blame. We all know who are committing the homicides and rural Republicans are most definitely in the minority of culprits. The original comment was 100% correct - kids are more likely to be killed in DEMOCRAT controlled big cities. You cant refute that statement by finding a stat about something else!
And about legalizing weed making the inner cities better, that is a fallacy. The inner city gangs and other criminals will still sell harder drugs, and will resort to selling more guns and stolen goods to make up for whatever weed sales they lose. It could possibly make things worse, not better. Instead of making their living selling weed, they may resort to muggings or suburban home burglaries. Remember, they're CRIMINALS and make their living committing crimes, such as selling weed. Take that away, and they'll resort to other criminal activities.
That is, unless the entire Democrat Party totally changes their outlook on life and starts severely penalizing criminals and also starts encouraging business and bringing jobs into the cities, and enforcing personal responsibility and proper citizenship and lawfulness.....which we all know they will NEVER do, that goes against everything the Democrat exist upon!

I agree! I have been a huge fan of Styx, but this constant bashing of everything NOT a small independent YouTube channel is getting ridiculous. When the bombing happened a couple days ago, I didnt come to Styx's channel first, I turned on Fox news. I got to see live views of the scene, see live interviews of witnesses, here from some experts, etc....while it was on, I did check Styx, and sure enough, he did have a short notification vid (kudos) but it was brief and basically only said what I had just watched on Fox.
Styx is simply an independent internet news commentator. Nothing more, nothing less. He talks about news AFTER the big boys do all the broadcasting leg work. Nothing wrong with that. He usually does an excellent job, and he definitely has a place in the big picture.
But his desire for the opposition (Antifa, etc) to successfully destroy the ONLY "big boy" on our side is idiotic!
The "big news" will never go away. Not in his lifetime. He is similar to the people who dont like "big oil" so they want all fossil fuels to simply disappear. It will never happen. It simply cant. We rely on oil for so many applications that a Prius just cant replace. Same with big news.

Your comment about being "nakedly partisan" always interests me. While at face value, being a blind party supporter sounds bad, obviously, look at the alternative. Can you name one instance where a Democrat candidate would be better than the competing Republican candidate? Even if not for the specific candidates, voting a Democrat in gives their whole party more money, power, and clout. It helps their fundraising, it helps them elect (and place) more leftist Democrats in lesser, local positions, and just overall helps them advance their agenda in all areas. No matter how bad the Republican candidate is, it's basically a guarantee that the Democrat candidate will be worse. I know it sounds partisan, but I still believe the worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat. So I adhere to the "party line" type of voting. I dont want to see any Democrat anywhere gain any type of power in this country. It will only end up bad.

I used to be against any govt involvement, especially breaking apart companies due to anti-monopolistic reasons. I was of the mindset that Bill Gates deserves to run his company any way he chooses - he was the one who envisioned it and built it up from the ground - its OUR fault that we became so dependent on HIS company. Who are WE to tell him his company is too big and he needs to break it up, or at least give up his secrets to allow competing companies to use his own platform and ideas to take some of his customers away?
(back when they went after MS)
But I'm slowly coming around. I love some Google services. I love YouTube. But the way they have proven themselves to be ACTIVELY partisan, by nefarious means (not coming out and endorsing, but claiming to be non-partisan while banning/deleting conservative things at the same time blatantly promoting leftist things on YouTube, and similar on their search engine), is convincing me that something needs to be done.
I'm not sure what. If it can be proven that Google has gone outside the law to prevent competitors, then yes, use the anti-monopoly statutes against them.
It just might not be a good case, though - there ARE some competitors, they just arent as good or simply dont have the name recognition.
I'm wondering if it might be better to go after them for discrimination. It should be quite easy for prosecutors to show bias against certain political views, or even skin color.
Or maybe there's some other angle to go after them.... I dont know, I dont have the answers, I just think something needs to be done.

Yep, thats what I've been trying to explain in various comments and to people I talk to in real life. I'm middle age, and up until recently, maybe around the time of Obama, being a Democrat or republican just meant a person had a different view of achieving the SAME GOAL. If a person was a Socialist or Communist, that person would be laughed or shunned out of any possibility of gaining any political power IN THIS COUNTRY. Because that is not our form of government and we dont believe in it. We actually fought to keep it from spreading! Up until Obama, we could all agree that all politicians at least loved our country and wanted to keep it as the best country in the world (and most dominant). John Kennedy was the Democrats dream President and hero, but nowadays John Kennedy wouldn't stand a chance in the Democrat party. He would literally probably be a Republican.
I hate to sound overly dramatic, but I honestly believe we are in the middle of a civil war, and only a few people know it. Republicans still generally believe what theyve always believed, and still love this country and want it to succeed as it is and generally how it always did. But Democrats are no longer for this country *as it is*. They are trying to overthrow this country, peacefully, through the voting and laws that are in place. That is why nobody sees it as "war".
Back in 1975, or 1988, or even the 1990's, if a majority leader publicly said "... well we'll have to pass the bill first, before we can show you whats in it..." (paraphrased from my memory), or that another public official was a RACIST for wanting to clean the voter registration lists of dead people or people who've moved away, or heaven forbid, actually show an ID to vote, that person would be laughed out of power - or be forced to step down from power.
Now we have mobs of Senators, Congresspeople, and even President and Vice President whipping up the citizens (soldiers) into a frenzy over exactly those kinds of things! And they're gaining power, and advancing their cause by the day.
And we laugh at them, get mad at them, and write comments about them in our little world of social media that only a fraction of like-mined people will ever see, while they write laws, change rules, import illegal voters, and slowly (sometimes quickly) overtake this country and win the battle. 🙁

I lost it when Obama won his second term. He did horrible at the first debate, there were a couple big scandals, his past was finally getting out to the public, and the economy was bad. His black base was mad at him, leftists were mad at him, and it looked like he was going to be just a flash in the pan- one term historic President. The day he won, I lost all faith, and literally said, "Our country has passed the point of no return". Looking back, I honestly believe he won due to the same things that happened to get Biden in. I think those things were done during Trump vs. Hillary too, but Trumps overwhelming support negated the shenanigans. Either way, between the questionable voting processes, and the plain old ignorant, stupid, and corrupt people, I, too, have lost faith.

Oh, so are YOU gonna interview members of congress? Are YOU gonna go to a crime scene or bombing aftermath to show your viewers the real story? Are YOU gonna send your people overseas to cover events there? You dont even take the time to edit your vids to give us some context of what your talking about!
Are YOU gonna modify your language so that YOUR "news" can be broadcast to the general public in an institutional setting, such as doctor's offices, airports, hospitals, and other various waiting rooms all over this country?
After your leftist wacko friends shut down "corporate media" (which they will never do), who do you think they will go after then?
For your information, YouTube is "corporate media". YouTube made you what you are today (not quite as famous as you think, I suspect).
Do you wish YouTube to fail? How many of your viewers do you think will follow you over to some off-brand, small-time platform? Maybe 1/4? Better yet, how many NEW viewers do you think you would reach outside of YouTube?
Your blind hatred for ALL corporations and anything "big" is really distorting your judgement. You should be thankful we have a single network that is directed more toward the right/libertarian side rather than the far left/socialist/communist side! It's is plain stupid to wish for it's fall.
There will ALWAYS be "big" media in one form or another. There may come a day where you, Stefan, Sargon, Doctor, Alex, and the rest of the Alt-Right/Libertarian must integrate to form your own channel, network, conglomerate, to pool your resources, defend yourselves, simply to survive the attacks.........and then YOU become the "big media' you so hate!

haha, when i was an early teen, i wanted to buy a used mail jeep! (i think they were made by AM General?) my post office had a whole lot full of them, which they painted all different odd colors, and somehow sold to the public - i never found out exactly how.
they have since upgraded to a small van-type of vehicle.
i drive for a living, and i've seen mail vehicles broken down, stuck in the snow, in accidents, etc... they have a support network, so when they break down or get a flat, a service vehicle can come to them within minutes, so they arent sitting on the side of the road for very long.

@LulabellaDonna The ironic thing is, he's somewhat correct. But the ideals and values that they should be operating under are opposed to HIS values. All US institutions (and I mean generally govt institutions) should operate under the values of patriotism, capitalism, rule of law, respect and admiration of our constitution -and the people who formed it, and basically all the "American" values we were all taught up until about the 60's or so. (My timeline may be a little off, but I believe things changed in the late 60's starting with the hippy movement). For a country to survive and prosper, it's citizenry needs to be on the same page. Sure, there can be differences of opinion regarding smaller ideals, but we all need to believe in and adhere to the larger ideals. A country cant survive if half the population doesnt even believe in the established form of government, or that the founders of said government were wrong, and BAD.
I think, again I may be wrong on the timeline, at least up until Obama, Democrats and Republicans still believed in the same things, and loved our country and thought it was the best form of government possible and that we were a good country. They just had minor differences in views about how to go about keeping it in such standing.
Nowadays, Democrats are like a foreign invading army intent on overthrowing our country and making it some new country with a new government. Thats not good.

@happymouse442 You are correct. Many people who don't know any better cry about "the big bad greedy business" going overseas for cheap labor - but the truth is way more complex than that. It's all the rules, regulations, taxes, fees, lawsuits, fines, permits, govt corruption and incompetence, and yes, the general laziness of the modern American worker that FORCES businesses to set up shop elsewhere.
People who have no clue will just scream, "You want to put young children in sweat shops and pay them pennies a day"! I'm not saying that has never happened (just look at some of the products some Hollywood superstar leftist Democrats have put their names on), but as an example of my point, I would ask those people to try to set up a lawn mowing business employing ten workers, legally. You will see how much of that list above negatively affects you and possibly literally prevents you from doing so, not to mention actually making a profit after all the investments and pay outs! Or try opening a small shop with a couple of employees making gallons of ice cream and selling them.
It's so easy for people who have never done something or experienced something to cry about what they perceive to be the reality just because the rest of the mob cries the same things.

I've been asking that question for a couple decades! Some time ago, the Democrats found a little trick, which was whenever there was a close political race, they would find a woman to publicly say the Republican harassed/assaulted/said a bad word or whatever to make her feel uncomfortable, and that race would end and go to the Democrat. It was like clockwork, I just knew it was coming as soon as it looked like the Republican had a good chance of winning. They haven't really used that trick recently, but for several years there for a span, it was a game changer for them.
At the time, I started to get the idea, "Why don't we do the same thing back"? It might get ugly for awhile, but in time, it would become a stalemate and both sides would begrudgingly, silently, agree not to go there. Sort of like the cold war nuclear option.
Why do Republican and conservative operatives not start filing court cases against all Democrats in power, or those who are running to gain power? The list of things Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, and all the low level Dem governors, D/A's, judges, and city mayors could be tried for surely exceeds what they've gone for Trump over.
I wish someone would wake up!

Thats the only MAIN difference. There are a lot more differences, such as that half our population loathes the US and wants it to fail, a huge portion of our population has never worked a real job in his life, a majority of our population has never experienced any hard times whatsoever, not even the threat of actual war, half our population believe it's our governments responsibility to feed, clothe. and house us along with providing all of our needs and desires. At least during the great depression, the country came together, all under the same basic belief system. Our population today is so far removed from those people, I doubt we would survive a real depression even if we did have some form of self-sustaining manufacturing base. But yeah, you are correct about that. We have set ourselves up for complete failure.

@LDF1218 So in other words, you dislike Trump so you posted that question to try to defend his opponent. You're just trolling. There's no hypocrisy whatsoever on our part. Trump was already a millionaire mogul when his "many affairs and wives" happened, in fact many women were clamoring just to get with him. He did not use any of them to further his career (it could be said the opposite is true concerning his partners). Kamala, on the other hand, was woefully inadequate and unqualified for the positions she was given by her twice-her-age-lovers, and it's been shown that she benefitted career-wise for her affairs.
On the Epstein connection, as far as I've seen, the only time Trump flew on his plane was a short trip within the US (NY to FL, maybe?) because of circumstances, and when Epstein was in Trumps estate, Trump politely "unwelcomed" him from his property due to his questionable behavior. That's way more than any of your Democrat friends ever did to Epstein!
So, I don't think Trump is the "straight up not a good person" here. It's the one feigning ignorance of Kamala's past and using that ignorance as a dig against Trump.

I recently read a short synopsis of the private/public, monopoly, etc.. issue written by some lawyer, and it was really interesting. I wish I had copied it. I forget where I found it, and could never find it again if I tried. It basically brought up points that Twitter/Google/et al claim to be private entities when criticized about such issues as discrimination, unfair practices, etc..., yet they claim to be free, open, public entities whenever someone tries to hold them accountable for the actions of their users. Evidently, they shouldnt be able to claim both. Either they are a private company, in which case they can block, ban, promote, whatever, anyone they choose to, but they can also be held liable for their published content in some cases. Or, they are a public company, and are accountable to all the anti-discrimination laws all other businesses must abide.
I dont know all the rules, and I probably didnt explain it very well, but that short article I read was really interesting and thought provoking.

I'm on your side, and I agree with you on theory, but unfortunately the "violence" or "civil war" isnt going to go down like it did in the first one. We're already IN the war NOW. When Ben Shapiro and Milo have to be escorted off a college and forbidden to speak, when Robinson gets put in jail overseas, when BLM riots and takes over my city - while the police LET THEM, when TV and radio personalities lose their careers for saying a single bad word, even decades ago, when half-century old statues get taken down by our own govt ......the fight has already begun, and the so-called "fighters" on our side were asleep at the wheel. We didnt stop any of that from happening.
And unless people on your side and mine start acting politically and making some changes in the system, you have already lost and all your guns wont do a single thing to change that. You may be pulled over and arrested in the street. Are you gonna have a shootout with the cops? Do you think you will win in that scenario? Because thats how the "civil war" is gonna go down. Little by little, law by law, person by person, each one of us on the right side is gonna get beaten (as in lose) as we get thrown in jail, lose our careers, families, houses; die off, or simply shut up and do nothing.
Unless we start going to our PTA meetings, school board meetings, town halls, having regular responsive interactions with our representatives, and change the way our current system of people think and act, its gonna be a long downhill battle that we eventually lose. Our guns arent gonna save us. - nobody is gonna stand at the starting line and blow a horn and say "OK the war starts now! everybody start shooting the opponents". It doesnt and isnt gonna work that way.

@sik3xploit I've had this theory and I try to explain it to people often, but I'm not great with words. I always say, the Democrats only work for individual groups of people. They sort everyone into groups -union/non union, gay/straight, black/white, citizen/noncitizen, etc..., and promise each individual group freebies, protection, etc... whereas the Republicans work for the whole of the country, everyone combined. I'm still probably not explaining it as well as I see it in my mind, but that's the basic idea.

actually, romney wasnt retarded. and in 2012, we all knew what obama was, so who in their right mind would still vote for obama??
(and if so, why?) by the way, corporations built your car, your computer, cell phone, cell phone service network, your washing machine, tv, and nearly every other modern convenience you enjoy, at about 1/4 of the price you could get it otherwise, if at all :-/

I'm afraid you're right. CNN plays non-stop at thousands of airports, hospitals, and various waiting rooms all over this country. This is the only thing most non-political citizens see. Most people aren't searching YouTube for channels like this for their news, and most aren't going to research all those wikileaks emails. The average voter only knows what they hear on mainstream news, or what his/her peers say, such as "Trump hates blacks and wants to send them to Africa", "Trump hates Mexicans and wants to send them back to Mexico", "Trump hates women and is a rapist", or "Trump is an idiot and cant be trusted with nuclear weapons".
The average voter isnt down in the trenches like the people who watch these videos. The average voter is busy working a job or taking care of a family, and might casually watch the tv news for an hour or so in the evening. And the regular news is almost ignoring wikileaks, and covering what Trump said or did 30 years ago, 24/7!
And then you have the "stupid" class of voters, who's only concern is how much the govt will give them and will vote Democrat no matter what! The Democrats will bus them to the polls and get them to vote early and often, just like every other election.

it "would" be excellent, but it's obviously done to allow people to rescind their votes for trump.
and about your first paragraph, i think the ONLY thing that could turn some of these people away from hillary is if she says something very racist. to these people, racist is the worst thing a person can be - worse than treasonous, worse than corrupt, worse than sexist (barely), worse than incompetent, worse than a murderer or thief.
and im not trying to be funny. its the way society is today. they will make excuses for thieves & murderers (he was hungry, he had a bad childhood, etc...), but they will treat even the slightest questionable 'racist' thing as an indefensible crime!

I agree. It's weird to me, and I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone or something, but I remember way back about a year or so before he decided to run, that he was in some hot water, both in the US and in Ukraine, about his shady business practices, and it seemed like "the walls were closing in on him" - and many people on the right were saying he was faking dementia so as not to be held accountable or able to testify, and then decided to run so that no one could do anything against him because it would appear too partisan. And evidently it worked, because I never hear anything about it anymore, it's as if it never happened. I feel like I'm the only person in the world who heard the talk about that and believed it back then.
(Also, that he would only serve just over half of his first term, allowing Kamala to finish his first term, then be able to run for two full terms herself).

That take doesn't really make sense. Trump is not one of the loonies on the right. Since you're here on a Styx video, and intend to vote RFK, I assume you lean more towards Trump than Biden. Voting for RFK will only take away a vote from Trump, therefore de facto giving one more vote to Biden. If anything, RFK is the looniest of all the candidates. He's still a leftist Democrat at heart, with a couple of moderate or right leaning stances on just a couple of issues . In other words, he's all over the place. Yes, for a Democrat, he's surprisingly good. But that bar is incredibly low.
I respect your desire to vote for whom you choose and try not to get swept up in letting the media dictate your actions. But the fact is, RFK has zero chance of winning, it just isn't going to happen. And the Democrats will do anything and everything to help Biden win, legal or not. If we want to fix this country and get it back to some sense of normal, we must make sure Biden doesn't get another four years. Trump is the only one in position to do that, at this point of history. He will need to have an overwhelming amount of votes to counteract any odd behaviors occurring in Biden's favor. This election is not the one to throw away votes to third party candidates who have no chance of winning.

People like you are a huge reason why many people refuse to look at the situation with an open mind. And there are way too many people like you, on your side. When the power goes out, I bet you're glad you can still use your cell phone! Those cell phone towers have a diesel generator at their base to keep them working when power goes out. A dirty fossil fuel diesel generator which needs dirty oil changes. If your house catches fire, I bet you want a nice heavy duty fire truck to come and pump that water using it's dirty diesel engine with it's dirty oil. If you fly anywhere, I bet you love that nice dirty fossil jet fuel (a variation of diesel) to make that plane fly!
There's a place for both all-electric AND fossil fuel in this world, for many different applications and for different people. No need to be a jerk about it all.
Also, for all those die hard tree huggers out there lamenting about using fossil fuel because it's a finite resource, I wonder how long it will be before they lament the use of lithium batteries, as they, too, are a finite natural resource. And who is man, to think we can rape dear mother Earth of her precious, finite, natural minerals for our own enjoyment?

@CultureWatcher5000 Good post. Obviously, we've been beaten (as in, we lost the battle). It's been shown that anyone going against the grain gets in trouble. Nowadays, even questioning some of the election irregularities can get a person socially banned, fired, blackballed, scrutinized by the IRS or other govt agencies, and who knows whatever else. The people who broke into the capitol got hunted down by the authorities. What can regular people do? Regular people have jobs, houses, families, and many responsibilities that need to be considered before doing something that would jeopardize all of that in an instant. Most of antifa and blm are young, dumb, have nothing and have no responsibility - nothing to lose. Plus, they have half the government and the entire media on their side.
We have everything to lose, and no one on our side. The police are not going to help us and be on our side. The National Guard is not going to help us and be on our side. Obviously, none of the military branches will either.
We're outnumbered (at least by people who CAN do something), and we've lost all strategic advantages. We lost the courts, the media, the young, energetic noisemakers (kids and college students), law enforcement, and basically the unwashed masses. The war is already lost. Get ready for Democrats (or ultra-ultra-lightweight Republicans) for the rest of our lives.

From what I remember, reagan did grow the govt, but where it was needed -the military. Carter had stifled our military and the world was getting close to WW3. Reagan came in and built up our military and "advertised" the fact, and then began working on foreign affairs. I think, but I might be wrong, Tip O'Neill (Democrat) only let Reagan get his military spending if lots of other Democrat spending was attached. Reagan always tried to lesson non-military govt spending when possible, but the Democrat Congress basically controlled everything. Another thing to remember is back then, the parties worked together a little better than they do now. In the time we're in now, the Democrats (Nancy Pelosi) would rather our country be invaded or overtaken by a foreign aggressor rather than Trump receiving positive credit for something good. Back then, at least the Dems still loved our country and wanted us to be safe. And yes, when Reagan lowered taxes historically, the govt received historically high tax income, due to all the business prosperity. It was a good time for our country. We started to relive that during Trump's first three years, until Covid.... but that's another story.....

Im sure you cant be. Ive been saying that these riots create no good, only bad, and that they accentuate and confirm all the stereotypes that supposedly caused the problems in the first place. Theyre pretty much proving that theyre violent, unpredictable (Well, predictable in a bad way), ignorant, illogical, emotional, uncaring, hateful, and will take advantage of any situation regardless of laws at any moment. Theyre showing that maybe law enforcement MUST treat them harsher due to these stereotypes, which they keep exhibiting for the world to see.

And it's not even only mortgage payments. I have a couple rowhome rentals. One is paid off. My management company has been nearly nonexistent since covid, and that one was vacant. It's been vacant this entire time. I've gotten fines for high grass, and people dumping trash in the alley behind it. I have to oay the fines, plus pay to have the trash removed. If I dont pay the fine, I could lose the house. I got my tax bill in the mail, and still have to pay that. If I dont, I can lose the house. My rental management company, since they are a small business, can qualify for special covid relief and loans. The employees there can get unemployment. I qualify for nothing since I'm not a business, nor an employee. But I still have to pay my money to the city and state.
(The only good thing is that I did get a mortgage suspension on the one with a mortgage, since it was an FHA loan.)

"WAR" is not the defining category of a person being right or left. I wish millennial's could get this through their heads. Nancy Pelosi is 100% a leftist, no if's , and's , or but's. There is no possible way anyone can claim she is on the right or a conservative. She is a leftist liberal!
Same with Hillary. She is a liberal. She is leftist.
McCain, although he is closer to the center, STILL is on the right.
I understand young people have anxieties about going to war, and the second Iraq war left a bad taste in many of their mouths, but being for or against any war is not what makes a candidate right or left.
Go down this list, and imagine where each person falls on each one. That will help you decide if he or she is a leftist or on the right:
Gun rights / 2nd amendment;
Minimum wage;
Raising/lowering taxes;
Gay marriage;
Welfare;
SWJ issues in general, such as pronouns, etc...;
Environmental issues, specifically overreaching regulations in the name of
environmentalism, such as breathing, rainwater taxation, CAFE, etc...;
Immigration, particularly illegal immigration;
Abortion;
And general size and power of Gov't., larger & more powerful vs. smaller and less
powerful.
Now, compare Pelosi to even a weak "rightist" such as Bush, going down that list, and see where each one falls. Do it with all the Democrats and Republicans who people claim "are just the same" and see if a change between the two parties, and particularly any two given politicians.

surely you know, even if we did go single payer, it would not work that easily? the key word is PAYER. single PAYER... not single PROVIDER. there would still be tons of paperwork, just to make sure the GP, the anesthesiologist, the blood lab, the x-ray technician, the medical hardware suppliers, etc.... got paid.
medi-care and medic-aid are single payer - they both have tons of paperwork.
nothing the govt ever does is LESS complicated and more efficient.
sorry, i know it sounds good on paper, but the truth is, it simply doesnt work that way in reality. when its "other people's money", everyone gets their hands in it - including other govt employees and agencies. its a never ending string of rules, regulations, bureaucracy, & red tape.
not to mention the fact that govt employees have proven to be near the bottom of 'efficiency'.

Why do you doubt I will? You sound like a little spoiled college boy with ZERO economic experience or knowledge. Only what your socialist professor has brainwashed into you. Your questions are so dumb, I didn't think you really wanted an answer.
The first answer is very obvious to anyone who understands economics. Without insurance paying for EVERYTHING, consumers will be forced to pay attention to how much different things cost, where the good deals are, who charges way too much, etc... just like they do now for almost everything else, because THEY ARE PAYING FOR IT THEMSELVES.
The doctors, clinics, and other entities in the health service industry will have to display their fees, and compete for patients.
When some unknown, untouchable bureaucrat who works under five layers of other govt bureaucrats is the one approving the prices, nobody cares how much they pay, and of course all the providers will try to get as much as possible.
Thats all common sense, and you shouldnt even have to ask that question.
Your second question doesnt even make sense. Did the auto insurance companies 'all get driven to the wealthy states'? Do all businesses like Walmart leave and go only to the wealthy states?
Your arguments are really pathetic. You sound like a troll.

I wish you were right, but I really dont think you are. I might be just because of the people you associate with, or where you are. Every day, I'm still flabbergasted at how many "normies" still spew hate about Trump and any/all Republicans, still hate the big bad gas companies for raising prices, still think we all should be wearing masks - and have no problems with govt ordering us to, .... and on and on. They all still watch local news, which just parrot everything CNN would say, except with more local, personable news personalities. Of course, that could just be concentrated to my local area, but I haven't seen much change. The internet still seems split 50/50 to me, also. I hope I'm just not seeing the bigger picture, and I'm wrong.

@fraserfir19 I'm 54 and was taught about the "coming ice age" in the 70's - scaring all of us young students into thinking we wouldn't live long enough to grow old. Or if we did, we wouldn't have cars, heat, or electricity. Of course, nothing happened, so then came the "global warming" threats. Then again, their predictions and threats never came through, so they switched their tactic to "climate change". And they're still doing the same things to the students as they did four decades ago. Unfortunately this time around, they're much more aggressive with the threats, scare tactics, and propaganda. Back then, even the "wrong" people had more decency, class, manners, and respect.

I thought that at first too, then started thinking more. In reality, Farrakhan actually IS a conservative. Not in the way I and most people immediately assume, but he believes in, and wants to continue, the old traditions (i.e. conserve them). The only difference is, he's being conservative from the opposite side that most of us come from.
He's extremely religious, believes a family consists of a man and woman, believes people and families should be self supporting, is anti-big government, and I think he is anti-drug use, but I'm not sure.
So he's actually conservative, only from a black racist point of view.
I hate to think of him as being on "my" side, and he definitely isnt, but from the point of view of the Californian leftist liberals - he is not one of them, so therefore he is one of us.

@Paladinbr That's all manetho4967 ever does, is repeat himself. Once I see one comment from him, I know there will be 100 more replies copied and pasted. Him, ElizabethIversen-db6vo, Clarence Spangle, Clarencewspangle are all the same person. I don't understand why Styx continues to let him spam his comment sections like he does, even giving him a ❤every so often. For a brief second one time I wondered if it was Styx using his alter egos, but then realized even Styx would be more intelligent than to resort to copy & pasting the same exact quote 100's of times. Even the retorts are the same copy & paste, depending on the person or the comment. When he has no answer and is called out, it's "Yer come drunk", and for me he has a special train quote which I know will be coming below.

I agree! I'm getting so tired of all these otherwise good comments (and publishers), seemingly on the right side, willing to endorse a Democrat, throw their vote away on a 4%'er third party, and/or screw the country over, just over their desire to legalize pot. The future of our country is more important than smoking pot!! They all scream it isnt addictive.... well, if it isnt, and its illegal, then simply abstain from it and channel your efforts to more important things, like Hillary's criminality, the whole corrupt Obama admin, etc.... and give the pot issue a rest! Let the wacko Dems and Antifa in California and Seattle protest over pot. We should be more intelligent than that :-(

@sTelevision-um1vf The idea is to have a left and right within the same form of government! Today's leftists aren't even for our system of government! They think our system is bad, and America is bad. Back in the day, JFK was a leftist. Well, at least he was on the left. I'm not sure the term "leftist" was in use. Back then we all believed in, and loved, our country and form of government. The difference between the two parties were just nuances from right to left about how best to implement laws and govern it. But they all had the same goal in mind. Nowadays leftists hate this country, it's rules, laws, traditions, and all it stands for! They literally want to change our country!
Theoretically, leftists should not even exist in this country, as they are wackos, seditious, enemies of the state. The two parties should actually be what the RINO's are today versus the outcasts of the Republicans, such as Trump, Paul, Cruz, and some others.
Idiots like Warren, Orourke, Waters, AOC, Sanders and the like should be laughed off stage and told to peddle their nonsense over in China or Russia! And never be taken seriously in THIS country!

Just like Bill Clinton (well, almost). He was the beginning of this modern day woke movement. Remember, he was going so far hard left in his first two years that he caused the historic "Republican Revolution" in his first midterm election. From there, he fought against those Republicans all he could, and then when he couldn't anymore and their actions proved beneficial to the country, HE claimed the credit.
It always irritates me when people say how good Clinton was. He was the beginning of what Obama "finished". And just like Obama, he was just a smooth talking, lying, backstabbing, charlatan, probably a criminal, who did more harm to this country than good.
Yeah, Clinton was a good President compared to Biden and candidate Kamala (which is all many people know today), but that isn't saying much.

That gets on my nerves, too! The first two years of Clinton's first term, he was heading full Left-Wing Democrat/Socialist! He was so bad that he gave Republicans a historic win in Congress, something unheard of. Gingrich, along with the now-majority Republicans, went to work turning this country back around - and basically everything they accomplished, Clinton got the credit for! I hate when younger people who either weren't into politics back then, or just look at trends and statistics, and assume if something "good" happened under a President, it means that President was good. We know the things Trump fought for - so we know where to assign credit/blame for results when we see them. How many of these 30-year-olds know what Clinton initially fought for? Seems like almost none. And the answer is, basically nothing that he's given credit for achieving.

@nickpapagiorgio2253 That's part of the problem. Not only do they fortify their own side's ballots, but they discourage OUR side from even voting, making it all the more easier for them. Not chastising anyone here, but for everyone who has lost all faith, the thing to do is to volunteer to be a poll watcher, join an election committee, join your local RNC chapter, make formal complaints to your elected officials if something seems biased or inappropriate, make those same complaints to the local news stations, inundate them with questions and complaints to the point they have to respond. Get others to do the same.
They have the upper hand, because their base is non-working and non-family-oriented, so they have all the time in the world to concoct voter fraud and follow through with it. Our side is busy working and raising our families and we don't always have the time to invest in our elections. But supposedly we outnumber them, so if more of us started making more waves, it's possible we could make some progress.
Just walking away from it all is exactly what they want us to do. And they're winning.

@reekinronald6776 Great point! I never know how to explain it as well. I have always tried to say that back in the day, both Dems and Repubs at least were both FOR our country. They both wanted the US to be strong, have a strong military, good defense, healthy industrialism and economy, safe schools and neighborhoods, children taught right from wrong, etc....each "side" just had different ways to achieve those goals. Nowadays, it's as if the Dems are a foreign invader trying to destroy our country, as opposed to work with it's citizens to better the country! They are not out to make the country as a whole be better, more powerful, stronger..... they just want to pander to individual groups, one at a time, to gain power and control.

I used to like Alex Jones way back, when he was a good Pro-2A advocate. When he started telling everyone that the Sandyhook people were just "actors" and no one died - AND got much of his audience to believe him, I lost all respect for him. And I mean ALL. Parents literally lost their children, and he's going around telling people they were just govt actors. Not only was that a terrible slap in the face of already devastated friends and family members, but many of his "followers" ran with the idiocy and posted the lies everywhere, getting even more people to believe it.
That made us pro-2A people, and people on the right, look like morons. I know there are STILL otherwise good people on our side who don't believe it ever happened (well, that it was a govt sponsored false flag staged act). That makes it so much harder for us sane right-wingers.
All that being said, I 💯% believe he should be reinstated, along with all the others. It shouldn't even be an issue. Unless any of these people have actually used the platform to break laws, such as threatening certain things to certain people, posting illegal photos or stuff like that, none of them should be prohibited from using the PLATFORM to post their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. It's actually pathetic that I would have to type that.

Great point! Because you know, even if the media "loves" DeSantis right now, if he happened to become the Republican nominee, he would be treated just like Trump is. ANY Republican will be treated that way from here on out. I kinda came to the forefront with McCain. Before he won the nomination, the media loved him because he was a "maverick", and went against the grain etc..., but as soon as he became the nominee against the Democrat, he was all the usual adjectives -racist, sexist, homophobe, etc... by the same media that had lauded him while running !

then youre not really asking trump supporters. maybe youre asking your liberal peers, and THEY dont know? or maybe youre just assuming what they would say, because YOU dont know? there is all kinds of damning stuff in those emails. not only that, but the mere fact that they exist PROVES hillary is inept, a liar, and a criminal! it doesnt even matter whats in them. she lied under oath, that she turned them over. just using the server was illegal. she testified that she never used that server for any govt email. it was FULL of govt email! she was ordered to turn them over - she deleted them -another crime! (not allowed to delete ANY govt email, even if it isnt subpoenaed)
the actual contents of the emails, prove that she knew about her situation, that her team was aware of committing crimes, was worried about how to hide & destroy them.
they show collusion between her, the dnc, and the media, to make her look better, and bernie, and trump look worse. all kinds of unethical practices of the media concerning helping her win.
donna brazil (from cnn) giving her the questions beforehand, at least twice, before nationally published events.
actually, the list is just way too long and complicated to print in a youtube comment.
there are many places where you can read the actual emails yourself.
some places explain them and detail who is who and what makes the email incriminating.

yep, isnt it great that the democrats chickens are FINALLY coming home to roost?!
all these years of corruption, voter fraud, conning minorities, using media organizations as campaign partners, lying through their teeth, receiving foreign money, pleading the 5th, not remembering anything when asked, etc..... finally ALL come crumbling down with these wikileaks, okeefe tapes, hearings videos, and now this fbi revelation!
the democrats have been doing this for years. the corruption starts at the top with obama and goes all the way down to the local election judges!
up until now, no one could ever go against them, because that person would immediately be deemed a racist, or sexist, or some other character assassination technique used against him/her.
we're finally seeing proof of all the inner working of this corrupt empire.
it ALL needs to come down. maybe this is the year it starts to happen!!!!

Laughing Achilles sure i remember the bush years! back when there were no muslin attacks in our country after 9-11! back when russia, china, and all the other nations either respected, or feared us. i long for those days!
but i digress. yes, many politicians are corrupt on both sides, and yes, i truly want boehner, mcconnell, ryan, and a whole slew of weak-willed, go-along-to-get-along so-called republicans to be put out of government forever.
but no matter how you twist it, or what your views are, there just is no comparison to the corruption of the democrat party. its always been there - theyve always been the party that pits one voting block against another, then lies about their opponent, using sexism, racism, homophobia, islamaphobia, etc... to con the uninformed voters. along with constantly lobbying against voter id laws, and for unlimited, undocumented immigration, voting for prison inmates, etc..
there have been some republicans caught doing questionable things, individually, but not the party as a whole, generally.
but in this last 8 years, under obama, and with hillary aligning herself to be next president, they have pulled out all the stops and just went crazy. notice how a few years ago, we republicans were saying the media isnt even trying to hide their bias anymore?
it all started with obama. once he got in, no one tried to hide what side they were on anymore. harry reid changed the rules as he went along, to suit his own party as needed. remember when obama said, "i won the election, your side lost" (paraphrasing) when he was questioned about how he was going about doing things? the irs scandal? all the tax cheats and other crooks obama brought into his administration? and hillary herself- has there ever been a political couple with more baggage and a trail of corruption following them for 30 years?
sorry, but there's just no comparison between the corruption and ineptitude between the republicans and democrats. the democrats are exponentially worse. hopefully their house of cards is in the process of falling.

@Neo Moron, and you are talking about not providing a speech on the chance something bad might happen (which has already been approved & scheduled) ...... see how dumb you sound?
The onus is on the school/security to make sure the terrorists dont cause havoc, not on Ann to stop speaking, duh......
For the second link you provided, who started the fight?
For all that CBS propaganda above, how many of those "claims" have been proven? How many have been caught on camera? You know every Tom Dick & Harry has a cell phone out nowadays, why is there no evidence of people on the Right starting these fights? We have PLENTY of video of wacko leftists causing trouble, antagonizing, and starting fights, and destroying property - why is there no video of our people doing those things?
The reason is, we dont do those things. There may be a very tiny percentage, a very small minority, that make inappropriate threats or do dumb things, but those people are always acting on their own, and are shunned by the rest of us on our side.
Unlike your side, who use the internet to recruit people to do just those things! And offer legal help to allow them to get away with it, and all the rest of you cheer them on.
For every one of us who does something wrong, there are hundreds if not thousands of similar or worse incidents coming from your people.
Remember the mainstream "news report" (was it CBS or NBC?) that did a story about how racist and gun-loving the tea party was, and repeatedly showed a man from the waist down wearing an open gun, attending the rally? Well, there was a reason why they didnt show the rest of the man - he was BLACK! The mainstrean media wouldnt dare show a black man, openly wearing a gun, peacefully integrating in with all those "racist" tea partiers!!! Remember that the next time you go searching for an article from CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, ABD, or PBS to prove your point.

Der Kerder you have no idea what you're talking about. You sound like you're trying to advocate, or are at least in favor of, unions (socialism). Again, a prime example of exactly why this country is in the shape it's in now.
When a company has to pay 10 workers a high wage to do what 5 workers at a medium or lower wage could do, and would do better because they can get fired, not to mention all the other costly benefits and work rules union workers suck from the company, then naturally that company will build a higher cost, inferior product compared to a non Union company, and in order to survive will have to move out of the country. (Govt rules and regulations play a role also)
Using your way of reasoning, we'd all be better off if the govt just gave everyone a million dollars. That way we'd all be rich "customers". It doesn't work that way. Free enterprise and capitalism has proven to work the best, but our form of it has been heavily distorted and choked due to overbearing rules and regulations.
2
-
Der Kerder funny you mention ford. The reason he brought the auto to the masses, and made it affordable, was that he used the precursor to automation. If it wasn't for automation, all cars would cost what rolls royces or some lesser, but still expensive, brands cost. With the same reliability:-(
Yes, a perfect company would be fully automated with no workers.
There would still be workers getting paid for doing mechanical repairs, advertising, deliveries, etc... Accountants for controlling all the money. There will always be jobs. Personal trainers. Artists, things that can't be automated. I guess you would have been against the light bulb, or electricity, because it would put the candlemakers out of business?!!

I would assume it's politics, too. Thats how I found you. You showed up as recommended one day, and I guess because of the title, I clicked on it. I've been hooked ever since.
I was hoping to get 50k subs, but I seem to have hit a brick wall just over 45k. :-(
What you say about the legacy media is true. I still watch fox, but if they mention an event, or something someone said, --- i come to YouTube to get the FULL story, along with other people's opinions and observations via the comments.
I dont fully agree with some of the stuff you say, but you certainly present your perspective well, and back up your 'opinions' with reasons and facts, unlike a LOT of 'millennials'.
Plus, you've used a few words I thought I'd never hear in a standard conversation! haha

Look, I'm on the same side as you guys, thats why I watch these videos regularly! But I think many of you have it wrong. Or are at least overly optimistic. Yes, maybe everyone IN YOUR CIRCLE of friends stopped watching tv and gets all their news from alt-right YouTube channels. I understand the rise of those channels, particularly Styx's, and the losing popularity of MSM.
But where I'm talking about the entire population, you're only talking about people already predisposed to follow political news (and who already lean right/libertarian)
My point is, Styx's videos average around 20-40k views, with only a few getting over 50k (after a few months). CNN alone gets way more exposure than that every day. It plays 24/7 in many government and private institutions where bored people watch it. Many of these people NEVER watch political news and dont care about politics. This is the ONLY political "news" they ever see. They are being influenced even if not actively watching but just listening.
And that's just CNN. There are also other leftist, lying "news" stations that lots of people still watch, such as MSNBC and basically all the rest except Fox.
I would love to see the fall of CNN and those other stations - but the truth is, they are not TRYING to compete on the internet.
I cant think of the best way to try to explain my points (I'm not as gifted as Styx haha), but I get the impression that you and a few other commenters think, to use your words, " the [ONLY] demographic that gets their news from the MSM is getting old and are dying off" - notice I added the word "only". Sure, the old people are dying off, but they are only one segment. There are other segments which still far outnumber "old people who watch MSM" and also far outnumber "alt-right news YT watchers" which are the casual news viewers and politically indifferent people. These people are still heavily (and solely) influenced by mainstream television news and probably will be, unless some major shakeups or extraordinary events happen, for a long time.
Basically, instead of the "alt-media" catching up to the MSM as many like you are claiming, the more realistic approach is that the alt-media has just entered the race, or taken it's first stride.
I hope I am wrong and just being pessimistic, and you guys are right, and can come back in a year and prove how blind I am. I just dont think so. There are too many stupid, or just indifferent, people in this world :-(

trmblingblustar I meant a real business, not selling lemonade when you were a kid. If you don't think rules and regulations and the accompanying red tape is hurting and slowing our economy, you don't have a clue about business or economics.
Something that just popped in my mind, as sort of an example, is the desperately needed second bay bridge here in Maryland. It's been talked about for years, and several preliminary studies have been made concerning where to put it and the costs, etc....
Basically it's never gotten past that stage due to all the environmental red tape. It's said that even if it got the ok, construction couldn't even begin for many years due to environmental studies that would have to take place, and numerous other legal obstacles. Of course all of this would add millions to the cost of the taxpayers.
That's just one quick example. There are millions of other instances where a business did not or could not expand or build due to govt regulations. Many small businesses purposely keep their employee count under 50 to keep from the gift requirements. There are literally thousands of common examples of how govt rules encourage businesses not to expand. Also, a lot of time and money that could be going into research and development, or more employees, better manufacturing plants, or other improvements, now goes into compliance.
By the way, who are the so called "owners" you mention?

i would hope so, but not so sure that is true. most regular, non-political people dont follow web bloggers / youtube commentary channels, etc, for their news. many dont pay attention to any news at all. if they do, its just the 'welcome page' headlines they get on their email server, computer homescreen, etc (which are all owned by the big mainstream corps - ex: comcast displays nbc news)
people sitting in waiting rooms all across the country - car repair shops, airport lounges, etc... see cnn playing 24/7.
so, the 'uninformed' masses will be barraged with all this 'news' about how trump is so bad and incompetent to be president.
i wish it wasnt true, but im afraid this could be a big deal.

tarstarkusz I already voted for trump, any yes hearing the crooked fbi's announcement demoralizes me too. But go vote anyway! If there will ever be a time to get a fresh attitude in Washington on, it now. If we don't do it this time around, we' ll never get it down. It will be too far lost with the millions of Hispanics and Muslims Hillary imports👹
I know what you mean about the decisiveness, but you have to fight back. This is how the dems have been operating for years, have gotten it down to perfection, but it's coming to a head.
They have been calling their opponents racist, sexist, hitter, etc, for anything under the sun, and they did it to a tee this time around. We have to start standing up and talking back to these ignorant idiots.
I sure have. Maybe cost me some friends. But our country is more important. If we don't stop them this time, they will own the fbi, doj, Supreme Court, congress, nsa, irs, and presidency. The country will be forever changed.

Arrogant???? Well, due to your username, I suspect youre simply an idiot. I didn't sleep through History class, but it's been awhile. One thing I wont do, is look up a bunch of miscellaneous facts and theories on anti-US websites and spread that propaganda around.
Grow up. The whole world is far better off due to the existence of this country in every area measurable, plus arguably every subjective area.
So, you are trying to claim that in both of the world wars, the US did not change the outcome? It sure seems like thats what youre claiming, and that is simply absurd.
Obviously, if the first war had gone opposite, everything that happened since then would be entirely different, so all of history would have been erased & changed. But just for the sake of argument, if those wars had had opposite outcomes, I would bet that all your little peace-loving happy-population homogenous socialist societies would either not exist today, or at least not be so happy.
Im not gonna write a book, obviously youre just some anti-US wacko.
You need to stay away from whatever hate-filled propaganda sites youve been reading :-(

Its sounds rhetorical, but it's getting to the point that this is a serious statement. many of the far left who would vote Democrat literally hate this country and want to change it, want to "punish" it, and can be considered enemies of our state.
they seem to be trying to start a real civil war to overthrow the standard norms of this country.
they have started a few battles already, with the riots around Trump, and the riots to prevent conservative lecturers from speaking.
civil wars arent planned for and dont start on a predetermined calendar date.
they start when two opposing (or one opposing the state) groups start that one battle that just continues..... and escalates.
as we sit now, we seem to be on that path. and it looks like a very vocal segment of the Democrat party is all too eager hasten the pace.
by continually allowing these battles to even begin, and then doing very little or nothing afterward to punish the criminals, we are encouraging ever more battles.
one day, one of those battles may last more than just an evening, or overnight.....

I'm not informed enough to say I DO or DONT believe the birth cert. is real. But a bunch of Democrats in Hawaii aren't credible enough in this instance. Of COURSE they will say it's real! Think of the problems it would have caused if they came out and said there was no legitimate record of the current President being born where he claimed! Very few people would want that responsibility, let alone his fellow democrats!
One thing I DO know is that I'm tired of uneducated imbeciles like you spouting out everywhere you can that ANYONE who questions Obama is automatically a " lying, dumbass, racist conspiracy theorist who can't stand the idea of a black man being President ".
Thats like us saying every person who supports Obama is a dumb, uneducated, unintelligent, lying, low-iq, racist, black leech on society who only wants Obama in power to give you lazy morons free govt benefits.
Not very nice, is it? For the millionth time, it was Hillary's campaign who initially brought up the question about where Obama was actually born, due to several inconsistencies. It is without question that he was raised in Africa, as a Muslim. He admits that in his book. He purposely kept his birth cert. private from the public all those years - why?? He paid a lot of money to fight to keep his & his wife's college records private. He was only in Congress a very short time, and basically did nothing while there - except voting "present" - which means not making a decision. None of his fellow "teachers" or professors, nor his students, ever showed up in the media to tell their stories about him, as we would expect from such a young, unknown Presidential candidate. There were rumors that he applied to college as a non-American. In his book, he admits to being into drugs and a terrible student. How did he advance so far, so quickly & easily? He wont let anyone see his college documents, so people wonder.
It's very reasonable for regular Americans of all colors to have questions about his history, when there's so little of it on record, and much of what is, is purposely hidden from the public.
That doesn't make someone a racist to question it.
For what it's worth, a person only has to have one American parent to be a citizen, so as far as I'm concerned, thats not even the issue.
His secrecy is the main issue to most of us. (and the lack of true media scrutiny)

sanders economic policies will hurt the entire country! every single person.
literally, if you dont understand enough about economics to already know why & how his ideas would totally kill our entire economy (if they could actually be implemented, which they never could be anyway), then there's not enough room to explain all the reasons here.
just as an aside, by the tone of your question, do you think it's good, or even ok, to "hurt" the multi-millionaires or billionaires?
because when they "hurt", they move their money away from this country, or even their entire physical being - and choose to live somewhere else. least of all, they buy less. so people who sell things to them, lose business. that also means a lot less sales tax the government collects.
this is only a tiny piece of the tip of the iceberg, that are the negative implications of Bernie's economic policies.

i think the same thing all the time. we already know the fbi is corrupted. we have seen that even with chaffitz & gowdy, congress is worthless.
once hillary gets in, she will FILL every position in govt with liars and crooks like comey, brazille, wassrman schultz, lois lerner, eric holder, loretta lynch, etc..
she will also flood the country with millions of poor mexicans, along with 100's of 1000's of poor middle eastern muslims - all who will drain our welfare and other resources, while voting democrat for life.
at the same time, hillary will appoint at least one supreme court judge, who happens to be the deciding vote, and the court will always fall on her side for another generation. the country will never be the same.
short of voting for trump, what can we do?

@adamled99 The Democrat Party is so off the rails, so out there, so anti- everything this country is about, that just belonging to the party removes all respect a person has earned. It's like being in the kkk - the simple act of joining the kkk should strip all respect from a person.
Anyone who joins or remains in the party of Pelosi, Hank Johnson, Schumer, Frederica, Waters, Cummings, Sheila Jackson, etc.... earns no respect.
Obviously you're free to see it in your own way, but that is how I see it, and I wish more people would open their eyes to it.
(ps. Trump is a perfect example - on many issues, most of his life he was mainly a Democrat. But when it came down to it, he wasn't so stupid to actually join or run in that party.)

@Carol Nicolet Speaking of getting credit, Trump did a TON of positive things that no one ever hears about, kind of under the radar. All we ever hear about is NAFTA, Paris Accord, China, North Korea, pipeline, and a few other high stakes actions, but there are hundreds of other things he did as President. Making animal abuse a federal crime is one thing off the top of my head, but throughout his term, he did so many smaller things to benefit individuals, states, and our country, I wish someone would compile a list and broadcast all over. He was an extremely active President, but the press only covered his "controversial" actions, which they could twist and make him look bad. His smaller actions, that nobody could ever be against (like the animal abuse) got so little press coverage almost no one knows he did any of them. And there are _hundreds_!

I think you overestimate "people" here. The people who agree with him and love this country and are normal, are already begging for him to be back in office. The other people - the leftists, Democrats, Progressives, Liberals, Morons, Subversives, Communists, Socialists,... - are not and will not be begging for Trump in 2024. What is happening under Biden is what they want. Or at least people like Biden are who they want. Most of them cant equate the conditions to their leader, and still blame Trump. And they will still blame him in 2024, believing Biden or Harris will "fix" the mess they think Trump got us into. "People" are stupid and ignorant.

There are several reasons. First, and most obvious, is that it can be argued that nothing he did was an actual crime. Beyond that, the Presidency is a very unique position. There is no other position like it. There is no training for it. There is no way to learn the position before entering it. The only way is on the job training, and either personally communicating with prior Presidents or using them to set the precedents. Trump did things he saw other Presidents do (even "not quite" Presidents). Presidents are afforded many leniencies in their position, along with exceptional Presidential powers. Whataboutism is a real thing. It refers to "equal treatment under the law". The authorities have NEVER gone after a person even close to Trump's position (President) for so many, and so questionable, infractions. Precedent is a real thing in our country concerning how our laws and courts work. Precedent has shown that everything Trump did, has been accepted as OK and irrelavent.
If anything all those authorities going against Trump are breaking the law and should be charged, because they are going against precedent for one thing, and not giving Trump equal treatment under the law for another thing.

Unfortunately, I think youre wrong about Amazon being destroyed due to enforcing cancel culture. That seems to be the going trend nowadays, and accepted and expected. Amazon is way too big for some competitor to threaten it. They are miles and miles ahead of anyone else in the distribution business and no other company can come close to their efficiency at this point and it would take a lifetime to catch up.
Similar to YouTube. With all the talk about boycotting YouTube and quitting (not to mention the ones who were de-platformed unwillingly), YouTube is STILL growing as a business and is consistently doing better (business-wise).
The consumers out there - the movers and shakers, and the prime demographic (18-24) mostly believe the same way Amazon does and they applaud Amazon for censoring and cancelling so-called "racist" and right wing "hate".
I hate to say it, but I think people like us are in losing battle. The kids have not been taught, "I hate what you say but I'll defend your right to say it with my life", in school for a couple of generations. Instead, they've been taught how bad this country is, how racist this country is, how bad it is to allow this country to continue on as it is, how bad it is to "accept" racism or hate speech, etc.....
This is the new norm.

@fredbloggs5902 The question is now. All the laws and rules about EV's are now. The Gov't should be the pioneer of the best and greatest technology. If they're forcing us to use EV's (to varying degrees), it's not unrealistic or unfair to ask, "Why aren't they fully committed to using them"?
And yes, I know they use them a little bit here and there, for menial things and where they have fleets of fossil fuel support vehicles to back them up, and for occasional photo-ops, by why not for important roles, like the motorcade, and why not all Congress members personal vehicles? Why not for all those FB I suv's?
Just like the space program, cyber security, military,.... the Govt should always be using the best most advanced products available. But here they are still driving big gas guzzling trucks and SUV's.

I agree! That has always annoyed me about Trump, too! So many times, I've seen where he could have made the perfect response, like a slam dunk, but he seemed to start to but then started on to something else. I don't think it's his age, I think it's basically because his whole life, he has not been trained/groomed in this style of doing things. His mind starts racing and he's thinking about a thousand things, and he wants to convey as much as possible in a hostile environment - where he is not the boss, and he can't control the time, or the flow of the conversation.
I suspect he is not like this in the boardroom, or on important business phone calls. It basically comes down to him not being a politician. We can see he's never really comfortable doing these debates. Like he's playing someone else's game, not his own. I hope with the experience he's had since getting into politics, he can work on that a little more and really make a good impression this time around -maybe change some minds of the older stubborn voters!

Styx, you have a bad habit of aiming your camera directly into the light, then positioning yourself between the camera and the light. This goes against the most basic photography and videography rules. I suspect youre trying to get a nice background, but in reality, all it does is create a washout of light where nothing is distinguishable, even worse, it makes you (the subject) less distinguishable.
In your setup here, you could have easily aimed the laptop towards the inside of the room, and sat in front of it with the room as your backdrop. The natural window light would illuminate you (the subject), and maybe even one of the lamps - in front of you, not behind you.
I know people dont watch your vids for the image, but for the message, but the way you set up your lighting is very distracting and could end up taking away from the important messages you put forth. Just some constructive criticism. Have a great vacation!

@TallulahSoie I agree. I'm in Maryland, too, for my whole life, and I've seen neighborhood after neighborhood, mall after mall, turn ghetto, trashy, and dangerous as the years have gone by. Maryland is NOT a Republican-ran, white-conservative-controlled state, so there must be some other thing at play here. "Culture" is the only thing I can think of. Some cultures are just different and/or incompatable with our American way of life. People in or coming into this country have all the opportunity in the world to adapt to our standardized culture, but if they just wont, we're all screwed.

@jules1896 You're comparing Alex Jones saying defamatory/libelous things about someone and losing in court and having to pay a lot of money, to the media (CNN) saying defamatory/libelous things about Kyle. Then you say he said he was sorry, but CNN didn't. Kyle filed a suit and was given a lot of money by CNN. You're claiming it's a double standard, but in both cases, the defamer had to pay the defamee. I think I might understand your argument/complaint, but using Kyle doesn't help your argument, it only proves that people can't always just say what they want about other people and not face reprocussions.
A better example would have been something like Schumer lying about Romney cheating on his taxes, and after Romney lost and Schumer was found out to have lied about that, he responded, "Well, it worked, didn't it?". That was a clear cut case of libel, and nothing was done to Schumer.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I think impeachment would be a bad thing. He definitely deserves it, and then some, but the first obvious thing is, it would make him a martyr. Then if he's removed, Democrats would have the first "colored" female President to brag about forever and ever. Then without Joe, Trump would be running against that colored female (she's not African), and/or some other younger, wittier, more popular Democrat. I would rather him run against Joe. Newsome has a horrible record, but the voters are stupid. He's young, good looking... and that's about all that matters to many voters. He could beat Trump. RFK, if Biden were to be gone, the media might change their stance on him and support him over Trump. If they got on his side, he could possibly beat Trump. I dont think the media could sway many voters to Biden over Trump this time around. I want Biden to stay where his is, so he gets beat badly.

I dont understand the mindsets of most of the comments here. (Sorry to pick on yours alone). Is everyone saying Russia is NOT sending in missiles to blow up buildings with families, mothers, babies, grandparents in them? Are you saying the young mothers and old grandmothers who are still alive and making the trek out of the country to safety are "fake news"? That individual people who want their own freedom from the clutches of Mother Russia and are willing to fight and die for it, are either fake, or the bad guys here? What does Putin have to gain here for killing innocent families? Strategic land? -Not really. It seems like nothing more than his ego or lagacy and nothing more. Putin has made it perfectly clear that he wants the old Soviet Union back. He began doing so before Trump, he laid low under Trump's term, likely due to Trump's words of warning to him, and as soon as Biden is in, he begins the killing and taking of land again. Just like another Hitler. Why are so many people here on Russia's side? I bet if Texas tried to leave the US and Biden sent in his forces and Texans fought back, these same people would be rooting for the Texans.
(PS. I understand the "no war" crowd. But war happens. Otherwise power hungry dictators would take over the world. We'd all be speaking Chinese, or German, at this point if there were never wars to stop such people.)

Fetterman, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Biden, Feinstein, and I suspect a few others - these are the senile, demented, mentally handicapped people running and making the laws for our country! Up until Mitch's recent episode, they were all Democrats. It's been said before numerous times, but this country is in serious trouble with so many of these types of people in high leadership positions. No person in his right mind could say this is a good government when looking at our leaders.

@MrVanillaCaramel I wont ask how, haha, but yeah, during that whole episode, teh music industry definitely beat Napster and Napster was stopped, only to survive as a pay for song site, and I'm not even sure if it's still around. Then there were peer-to-peer sites like Limewire, and most of those were shut down. I kinda stopped following after that, so I'm not sure what's out there now, but I've been under the assumption that unless you go underground, or risk getting sued/fined, you need to pay for music to download nowadays.

In the US, Liberals are Leftists. To say another way, Liberals are on the left of the political spectrum. Conservatives are on the right. Democrats are on the left, Republicans are on the right. Conservatives want to conserve the traditions, values, norms, beliefs, and general ways of life this country was founded upon. Liberals want to liberate away from those same traditions, values, norms, beliefs, and ways of life. It's pretty much that basic. If you're a Liberal, you're on the Left, therefore a Leftist.
Obviously, there can be some overlap. A person can have some conservative and also liberal values. There are also degrees and extremes of each side. But the bottom line is that we can't change the difinition of the words to make ourselves sound better. "Leftist" has become a derogatory word, so most want to be called Liberal now. Those people are still on the left.
It's kind of similar to saying, "I'm not a Conservative, I'm a Traditionalist". For all intents and purposes, they're the same thing. Whatever little ways we tweak the definitions to differentiate them, they are so minute that they're meaningless in any normal conversation. They mean the same thing and are interchangeable.

@astronautical1082 Yeah, it was really scumbaggish to run this country as the best President in decades, making record economy benchmarks, starting no new wars, saving the US 💲billions from inequitable foreign relations, starting peace deals nobody thought could ever happen, lowering taxes for all US citizens, making our country free from the reins of OPEC, and countless other smaller things he did which never made the news.
The adolescent attention span & mentality here are those who foam over crucifying Trump over every little thing while ignoring what Hillary did, what Obama did, and of course, all the lies, crimes, and corruption surrounding Biden and his son. Trump is a saint compared to all of them.

@jackesioto Yeah, I go back and forth when it comes to "standard of living". It's something I think about often. In many respects, it is much better, or higher, nowadays. It is now common for every home to have a clothes washer and dryer, landline (if desired) in every room, cable tv (and/or internet) showing virtually every thing ever produced on video in every room, every driver in the household having a personal car. We have 24 hour supermarkets, drive thru fast food, and with Amazon and others, basically anything we want to buy can be delivered to us within two days.
Contrary to popular belief, our healthcare has advanced incredibly from a few decades ago. Many operations are now outpatient and nearly harmless and symptom free. We have lots of prescriptions that help keep our arteries open and our blood pressure low. Our cars are much safer, ride nicer, come with all the nice amenities that we all want, and I could go on and on.
Back when I was a child, and for the generation before me, many homes only had one TV, which only got about 5-6 channels. Only one car for the whole family, which the father usually took to work. One non-portable phone that everyone in the house had to use. Most homes had a clothes washer, but many didn't have a dryer. And again, I could go on and on. Pretty much everything was harder to do or took longer to do.
Yet, everyone seemed happier and more content. Families got by with only the father working, and having less of everything (compared to today), but somehow it seemed better maybe because it was more "normal".
I just don't know how to feel about it. Deep down, I admit that today's standard of living is probably leaps and bounds better than 3, 4, or 5 decades ago, but I just have an uneasy feeling that fewer people are truly happier. I often wish I could have been growing up in the '50's or 60's.

@Mistertwist. I dont mean to call names, but I really question anyone who claims to be a Republican , yet would even consider voting for a Democrat nowadays, let alone stating "they're all the same party".
That's simply not true. Basically youre saying you're a RINO, just like Ryan, Romney, Kaisich, and the like.
And even those are better than Hillary, Waters, Cummings, Pelosi, Johnson, Fredrica, etc...
Yes, some Democrats are less seditious than others, and yes, some Republicans are poor candidates, but the worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat.
They are NOT the same party. As a matter of fact, they're farther apart now than they were 50 years ago! At least 50 years ago, both parties believed in American principles, believed in our Constitution, believed in putting our country first, and genuinely wanted the best for our country and were proud of it.
Nowadays, the Democrat party is the group who hates and despises this country, thinks its a horrible, unfair, racist place that was founded by horrible, unfair, racist, people. And they are ashamed of our country!
Just because one member of their party is slightly less outspoken about all of that, doesnt make her a good candidate, and especially doesnt mean she would be good for people on the Republican side!
As I said, after what we've seen about how the Democrats operate, and what their values are, unless you're one of them, it would be insane to even consider putting any single one of them in govt power.
(Actually I think it would be insane even if you are one of them, but those kinda go hand in hand 😊)

@we_are_so_back For some unimaginable reason, otherwise smart people, on the right side of politics (ours), think the media and everyone else in power will treat everyone other than Trump fairly and honorably. They think this is only a Trump thing. It's mind boggling to me. If DeSantis becomes our nominee, he will be called racist, misogynistic, homophobic, war monger, sexist, and every other derogatory term they can think of. His past will be dug up and twisted around to prove some wrongdoing. They will do this to ANY opponent to the Democrat nominee. They will also use their voting shenanigans again. They're not going to stop and play fair just because it's not Trump this time. People on our side (I mean people like you and me, the voters) need to be smarter!

@jackvancekirkland I know you say that tongue in cheek, but your point is correct. We are in a war, whether we know it, or like it, or not. Their side has systematically and strategically won the news media, entertainment media, academia - starting with higher learning and now trickled down into elementary schooling, black people, brown people, illegal aliens, "community organizing" schemes, unions, gov't workers (including most fed agencies), and countless judges and court systems.
Granted, our side has been busy working and raising our families, to the point where we didn't even see it happening in front of our eyes. Now we're well behind the 8 ball when it comes to planning, organizing, fighting back, and gaining any ground.
I don't have much hope.

@haroutunsarkisyan8050 she was instrumental in helping violent rioters get bailed out, she took Jesse Smollett's side and propagated that lie, she can't give a straight answer to any question that isn't from "her" side, she was appointed "Border Czar" but subsequently never even went to our border and approved the "open borders" attitude the Biden and all Democrats espouse, she wants to end fracking and basically all fossil fuel, she often race baits which fuels the racial tension within our country, she has been caught in numerous lies - not exaggerations but flat out lies, she just recently snubbed the head of state of one of our allies which is seriously un-Presidential, when the antifa riots were happening she did nothing to stop them and actually defended them, she did not have a good record when she was prosecutor in CA, she slept with a married man many years older then herself to get her position, she used to claim to be Indian when it benefitted her then claimed to be black when it benefitted her, when she ran for President she dropped out prematurely due to extremely low popularity, as VP many of her staff members quit due to terrible working conditions under her and noted how lazy she was and how uninterested she was in the actual duties of her position.... and I could go on and on.
Literally, her ONLY qualification is her minority status.
Now, can you give some examples why she is good ?

I agree about that in theory, but in reality, I dont think Trump will be remembered so well. For one thing, the people who influence "the people's" minds and memories are people who are/were against Trump (news media, hollywood writers, music/song writers, etc), also, he was sort of a flash in the pan. The only people that will remember him well were the ones who benefitted under him at the time - actually only half of the ones who benefitted under him. Joe has already cancelled or reversed all of Trumps policies that he could, and the Dems are working on everything else. There will be nothing left to remind us of Trumps greatness. I fear he will be remembered only as a reality-tv-star who was a one term president who got impeached twice and colluded with Russia and China and negotiated with terrorists. This is how all the younger/college people think of him now, and how the writers of history think of him. If we dont severely change course in these next midterm elections, this is how Trump will go down in history.

I'm sorry, but you're reaching this time by making this statement/topic an example of Biden slipping into madness. I understand this is what is hot right now, and I definitely appreciate showing the world every single issue of the failure that is Biden and Kamala as our "leaders". Go read the reviews of the new Ford electric trucks, or the Rivian truck. Powering the house is indeed one of the unique fringe benefits. Obviously, no one would buy the vehicle just for that. And of course it's not the best option for such a task. But if ever the time comes, it can be done without any extra effort.
I was anti-electric vehicle for a long time, and for the most part, still am, but I'm slowly starting to have a more open mind about their benefits. Initial cost, and range, are big hurdles, although the range of some of the vehicles is getting close to some gas vehicles - and they dont cost $100 to fill the tank after 250-300 miles.
You are correct about a low cost, no frills electric model. I fully agree with your points on that.
I just don't think Biden's statement here is displaying his dementia / madness. There are plenty other instances you could have used for that!

@anime-mun I guess I get your point, but my point is that partisan means picking a side. Politics is about promoting what YOU believe to be the best course of action. If youre not partisan, and just roll over and let "the other side" take what it wants, your best interests will never come to fruition.
One huge argument I and many people have had against Republicans is that even though many supposedly believe in the same things I do, when they get a chance to fight for those things or enact them, they roll over and try NOT to be "partisan", thus simply letting the Democrats (or any entity on the other side) get their way.
Politics IS partisan, at least in a diverse and large country like ours. There are too many people trying to get their views promoted, over someone elses.
Im sorry for being argumentative, but "non-partisan politics" is simply a utopia, impossible, and you end up making things worse by trying for it.

While I love the idea of people leaving the Democrat party to join the Greens and other wacko leftist fractions, leaving the Republican party, at least at this point, can only hurt us people on the right. Yes, we are generally smarter and more responsible, and we actually think about who we want to vote for, but a huge portion of the Dem party are simple minded, lazy, greedy, barely speak English, or illegal. They will ALWAYS vote for them Dems (who cater to them and promise them everything). That is a solid, faithful voting block that we can not convince to come over with logic and reason, or even facts.
Sort of what Romney meant by his "47%" quote. Unless we on the right get organized and stand behind and support the one candidate that can actually win, we consistently risk losing seats to the Dems.
I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I think this is important, especially in these days. Dems are out for blood, and they have no bounds. They will do anything and everything to gain power, and even more to keep it whenever they attain it.
We need to do everything we can to keep them down and out of power and turn this country around and show to them that their way of doing things is not productive, not in the best interests of this country, and is no longer wanted or accepted.
Taking 2%, 5%, or 10% away from the Republican party to split into Libertarian, Conservative, Independent, or whatever, again, only helps the Dems.
I understand there may be a few odd local elections where my opinion is not applicable, but I truly think this is the best, maybe only, way we can fight the party of Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Cory Booker, et al...

I'm no fan of Bush, but Obama was much worse, if you really scrutinize plans/policies/laws that went through, ones that got vetoed, etc...
Eight years of Obama really set in motion a lot of things that changed our country for the worse, and we're still living through their repercussions. We probably will never recover.
I understand many people "hate" Bush because of the wars, the military industrial complex, the CIA and Patriot Act stuff, and I agree. But Obama did all of that same stuff while at the same time demoralizing and loathing our military members, giving aid and emotional support to our enemies, etc..., etc..., and theres a whole slew of Soros funded corruption and influence Obama brought in that we're still reaping the effects of, and probably always will.
At least Bush generally knew who our enemies were, and didn't consider the US as the enemy!
Not trying to argue with you, just putting that out there for anyone to read, as many millennials feel the same as you. Remember, the media hated Bush and loved Obama, so growing up you were conditioned to have a worse view of Bush, and a better view of Obama, than what the reality was.
Actually, I might take that all back. I just realized you just said "most hated", not that YOU hated him the most. Yes, with the media's help, Bush was the most hated. I wrote so much I hate to delete it now, so I'll leave it up. 😁😁

@pokermitten9795 @Poker Mitten true, but one thing I've been saying in recent times is that in the old days, at least both parties were true Americans and wanted to govern fir the best of the country, under the rules and ideals this country was established. Now, it's as if we're being invaded by some anti-American country who hates our rules, hates our constitution, hates our founding fathers, and literally wants to change our form of government into something different than it is. I'm talking about Democrats. The two parties have never been farther apart. I understand what you're saying, but I think it makes it too simplistic, and could convince some readers who aren't real political, that it doesnt matter who is in control.... when nothing could be farther from the truth. It matters tremendously! Imagine if there were no Democrats in Congress or Democrat Judges in control during Trumps term. He could have gotten so much more done and this country would be so different today.
I cant stress enough how important it is to get any and every Democrat out of power from top to bottom across this country. Only THEN can we contrate on the RINO's.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of all the Ben Shipiro hate in the videos and the comments, much of which is simply because he's Jewish. It's idiotic. We dont have many celebrities or spokespeople on our side, and when we get one who can intellectually defend 90% of our point of views, I think we should welcome him, not chastise him every chance we get. Especially when our only argument is to call him a Jew. Ok, so he's an Orthodox Jew, and is loyal to his religion. Big deal. At least he's conservative, defends conservative values & principles, is anti-SJW, and defends the US.
Like I said, we dont have very many people on our side who can lecture or debate and change some young minds in the public arena. We should be thankful we have Ben.
It's not a bad thing to be able to appreciate Ben, Milo, Rush, Tucker, Hannity and Styx!

*ponder. And it's true. With our regulations, Unions, and general work ethic, we will NEVER be able to compete against the rest of the world with general manufacturing. It just can't happen anymore. Yes, we might be able to do it in some highly specialized fields or cutting edge technologies, but for textiles, or steel mills, or electronics, there are just so many hinderances against us (of our own doing), they we simply can't build the plants, hire and train good workers, pay for the energy, and put out high quality product as fast and as cheap as many other countries around the world. It's a shame. Because I know we actually "could", it's just that we "won't". It just won't happen ever again. We had our day, and we gave it away.

I was "making my hobby my career" on YouTube for the last several years, while working a real job a few months of the year. Well, I just ran into a rude awakening, because evidently it WAS too good to be true. YouTube just de-monetized me with no warning and rejected my appeal to re-evaluate me. Of course, they couldn't tell me what I did wrong or give me any examples of offending videos. I'm really upset, and not sure what to do for the next several months with no income.
But I have no qualms with Styx. I'm actually envious! He's living the American dream! I thought I was well on the way to doing so (until YouTube ripped the rug from under me), and if I could, I'd continue doing so in some way. Society will always need the janitors, asphalt layers, food preparers, etc..., but if a person is willing to take a chance and try something else (with much less security), then all the more power to him!

Horrible take. He is the lesser of all the evils out there. Voting third party is throwing your vote away. Sorry, but that's simply a fact. His presidency before covid was WAY better than "ok". Three (or four?) peace treaties in the mideast, no new wars, less sabre-rattling from NK, China, and Russia, a record breaking economy here in the US, low gas prices, record setting low unemployment figures, and hundreds of other small accomplishments that barely made the news, like making great progress in stopping child trafficking organizations. And the whole covid thing was unprecedented. What other President would have done any better? Many people believe the covid situation was brought upon us intentionally, either to harm our country in general, or harm Trump in his last year before reelection.
There's no way around admitting that Trump's first three years were extremely successful for our country. Despite all the hate and corruption aimed against him trying to make this country better. I can't think of another President who accomplished so much positive things since Reagan first took over. I can't see any other contender being able to all those things. They may be more refined, and talk a good campaign speech, but when in the position, will they actually get the results Trump did? I highly doubt it.

Yeah, a lot of simple minded people keep crying about the big bad greedy corporations wanting cheap labor, but it goes way beyond that. They want workers who are actually happy to have a job, workers who don't have the union mindset of astronomical demands while making the least possible effort, workers who aren't sue-happy and won't call gov't over ceiling paint that might be "offensive", plus they are forced to meet EEOC demands, which these imports should satisfy.
Basically, between our schooling, our culture, and our government regulations, over the last several decades, we have forced corporations to go this route.
I don't have all the answers, but I can plainly see that it's way more than just "corporate greed" that needs to be addressed.

@deanfirnatine7814 Not really minor. I've been a Styx fan since before Trump, but I've noticed for a while now that he often gets the story wrong. It's like he reads a couple of the first headlines, then rushes into his chair to give his own commentary about the situation. (Or in this case, he heard the conversation, and just assumed it was a phone call). That's all fine, it's what he does. It only bothers me because in these modern times, since he's gotten more famous, I see so many comments saying things like, "I don't watch news anymore, I get all my news from Styx". Well, where do these people think Styx is getting HIS news? If Styx wants to take on the role of modern "influencer" and "newscaster", I want him to do his homework and get better informed before informing all of his followers.
He also likes to toot his own horn, and has no reservations about telling us when he was right about something. So we followers should have no reservations telling him he's wrong about something.

I was saying that back in the 80's when I was in high school! Instead of focusing for months on an old book written for entertainment, or worse, telling whites how bad and racist they are and how bad and racist our entire country is (that stuff wasn't as prevalent back then), the schools should spend months, or maybe even the entire 12th grade, teaching students how to manage money, set up a bank and checking account, how mortgages work, the effects of electric & water bills, and just overall "living" in todays society, rather than "theories" and other obscure things that mean little to nothing to the average persons daily lifestyle. I'd go so far as to say drivers ed should be an elective once a child turns 16. Most children will need to know how to drive to get to a job. Most will never use trigonometry.

@SovereignCajun78 no, i haven't. I think that's a cop out for people who want to sound or act edgy, while ignoring reality. The reality is that either the Republican or Democrat is going to win. The other reality is that the dems have a lock on the low-informed and the govt employees. To get anyone other than biden or any Democrat in other elections, the leading challenger (a repub) will need every vote possible. This country is split right down the middle, it's an unfortunate fact. Dems always have a way of finding the votes they need (obamas 2nd term, newsomes recall, bidens 1st term, for example). For any dem to be out-voted, every vote is necessary. So someone leaning more towards the right, or at least trump like beliefs, or even constitutional beliefs, while abhorring biden and his actions and policies, if they HAD to vote for 1 of 2 choices, they would fall in line with the repubs. So NOT voting that way would be allowing another vote to count for the dem (and 1 less for repub).

@zackcoggins9752 YOU stop gaslighting! I know it's the cool thing to do on Styx's channel, "tHeyRe bOtH ThE SamE PaRtY...", but that's one of the most ignorant and asinine statements you can say. Do you honestly think this country would have gotten to where it did (right before Trump won, or even now) if Obama had never won and McCain and Romney had control of the country for eight years instead of him, after Bush?
I don't like either of those two, but i guarantee they would NOT have steered the country as far left as Obama did, nor perpetuate the race problems like Obama did.
Of course, most Republicans are weak, and want to go along to get along, don't want to be called names, and are generally happy just to keep the status quo. And that's the point. NO Democrat wants the status quo. Every Democrat wants to go farther left, on everything, each and every time. Keep giving Dems power, and we have what we have today - because the Republican wasn't "right" enough for you. So instead of staying where we were twenty years ago, we have moved so many increments more left that we'll probably never get back to that point even.
The worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat. Every time.

@Luthiart Yeah, that seems to be a problem lately. The Democrats have gotten so lunatic crazy, along with openly Anti-American, that any Democrat who isn't like that or says a few sensible things makes some of us people on the right or even center/libertarian think that person should be Trump (R)'s Vice President or something!
I guess these are young people who ALWAYS knew Democrats to be absolutely wacko and hateful. Decades ago, Dems and Repubs were much more similar. Both wanted what's best for our country and both loved our country. Both loved our military and both were proud to be the "world's superpower". Both believed in our Constitution, for the most part. Both believed in right and wrong (for the most part) and wanted our children to grow up with good values and to do better than their parents. Both believed the nuclear family was best for individuals and for our country.... and I could go on and on. They were similar, but had slightly different ways of achieving what we all wanted in the end.
Fast forward to today, and although Repubs have moved more to the left, the Dems have just obliterated the goalposts and are out in space, basically an enemy of the state.
That's why I get mad at people who go around saying "different wing of the same bird", "two sides of one coin", etc...
We're SUPPOSED to be the same bird or coin! We're in the same country with the same government! All of our "leaders" SHOULD be thinking alike and having the same goals, regardless of their individual parties.
The problem today is there AREN'T two wings of the same bird! One bird is the American Bald Eagle and the other is some malformed, mutilated freak that doesn't know it's species and hates this country and wants our enemies to invade us.
Sorry for going off on a tangent. Reading all of the comments on this and a couple previous videos got my mind racing haha.

@capitalcitygoofball67 Why can't you people understand, NO Democrat is ever a good choice? I don't mean to belittle either of you, but please remember, you're not only voting for the person, you're voting for the party. Giving that party power would also be giving the people like Maxine Waters, Charles Schumer, AOC, Nancy Pelosi, Alvin Bragg, and a slew of other totally corrupt or braindead politicians power. The worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat. It may sound harsh, or not the way it should be, but it's simply the truth in the time we're living.

Yep, exactly! I remember being taught in school about the scientific process. About control groups, and patterns, and sample sizes, and THEORIES, etc....
It seems like nowaday that is all thrown out, and the whole industry is controlled by some "force" which just makes things up to suit political whims which keeps them in power.
I say force because I really dont know who or what is behind it all. I hear lots of things, like illuminatti, jewish, bildebergs, nwo, Soros, Freemasons, the Devil himself, wef, Rothchild's, etc.... I really dont have any opinions on any of that because I haven't really looked that far into things, but it sure seems like someone is pulling strings and MAKING all this happen. It's quite depressing, knowing we can't even trust educated scientists to follow the rules of science and make scientific statements anymore. If anyone would/should be non-political and simply state fact without being swayed, it should be scientists.

@stevenwebster3286 Yeah, that means we should never vote and let the Dems take control of everything, right???? Like, voting Trump in was sooo bad, he tanked the stock market, sent businesses overseas, started wars, gave money and power to our enemies, accelerated inflation, opened our borders, imported Middle Eastern refugees, nominated far leftist Supreme Court judges... yeah, you idiots who keep spouting the "boTh paRtieS r tHe Same" , to sIdes of The sAme cOin", "tO WingS of thE saMe bIrD" stupidity are why a lot of good Republicans have lost several times. It's an absolutely dumb stance.
Republicans and Democrats are different. That shouldn't even be an argument! Was the world the same under Trump as it is under Biden? Was it the same under Bush as it was under Obama? (Under Bush, people knew a boy from a girl, and we didn't have mobs taking control of cities and assasinating police). The worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat. Democrats organize and cheat to get their votes. Every person who sits out is another free vote for a Democrat.
And of course every candidate will pursue his or her own financial interests! Every perosn will, regardless of party, or anything else! Aren't you pursuing your own financial interests when you vote? And if you don't vote, you're throwing your financial interests away. Doesn't really make sense....

"The government told you that you couldn't have a funeral to honor your deceased loved ones because of COVID-19 ... but over 100,000 are expected for George Floyd's funeral.
The government told you that you had to stay home and close your business ... but looters were allowed free access to destroy and steal from your business.
The government told you that your sacred religious beliefs couldn't be practiced in a church due to the virus ... but rioters were able to arson and destroy those churches and artifacts at will.
The government wants you to report any strong police enforcement of the law ... the government doesn't want you to report or identify anarchists or looters that are destroying the community.
The government released thousands of violent criminal offenders because the prisons were unsafe due to the virus ... these jail spots are needed to house anyone that doesn't follow their virus shutdown demands.
The government wants you to wait two ... three ... four months ... to collect partial unemployment. Not one government official has been laid off or received a pay cut. There is plenty of your money to pay them.
The media wants you to believe these are all peaceful protests. The video shows that multiple police and citizens, of all races, have been murdered by the protests. Rioters are throwing Molotov cocktails at the faces of the Secret Service ... police officers are being ambushed and shot ... law abiding citizens are being killed trying to do the job law enforcement has been told by weak leaders not to do.
The sick and the aged are dying lonely in hospitals and nursing homes ... and their loved ones are not even allowed to visit.
Our schools are closed ... when our children need more guidance and education than ever ... especially about civics and American history.
Anarchists are calling for the destruction of America and removal of all law enforcement ... the Mayor of Los Angeles just called for $150 million reduction in the police budget.
Protesters taking selfie's to show how "woke" they are on Instagram are destroying mostly poor neighborhoods ... where local African Americans won't now have a grocery store to go to ... a bank to go to ... public transportation to utilize, etc.
Democrats want sweeping changes in police departments ... while police unions, the bread and butter of Democrats, are what protect meaningful changes and accountability.
Protesters want improved policing ... yet the millions in property damage they caused will come directly out of budgets for body cameras, community involvement programs, added patrols, less lethal equipment like tasers and rubber bullets.
Less than a week after Memorial Day, countless memorials to our soldiers, Founding Fathers, and safety forces killed in the line of duty have been destroyed. Our history is being erased and rewritten under the guise of political correctness.
Members of law enforcement and our elected leaders are kneeling before the very people that are destroying our Country ... in some sick, perverted gesture... to acknowledge they have completely abdicated their civic responsibilities. Rest assured, the "demands" of the protesters change daily and kneeling before them will only embolden more extremism.
Our pandering corporations are tripping over themselves to show their support of the "cause" with memes, Facebook posts and tweets ... the same shoe companies that sell $200 tennis shoes in the hood that often lead to robberies and shootings ... the same banks that charge minority communities 28% credit card interest ... the same companies that outsource their jobs to China for a cheap wage while our communities in America starve.
LeBron and Kap think you are a racist and support the riots ... from their 10,000 square foot gated mansions.
Karen from Brecksville and Kyle from Westlake spend their days on Facebook telling everyone they are a racist ... often attacking them online ... yet they have never mentored an inner city student, been a Big Brother or Big Sister, worked at an inner city youth or sports program, etc.
Mentally ill Hollywood celebrities have raised $20 million to post bail for rioters and looters ... they haven't raised a nickel for law abiding citizens that have lost everything through no fault of their own. Shop owners of every race and religion have seen their lifetime of work destroyed overnight.
The dangerous, corrupt media glorifies all of this ... fuels the fire ... demonizes anyone that highlights these tragic facts ... all while making millions off the coverage. They LOVE this destruction because every night, scared Americans are turning in to make sure there is not a mob coming to their town.
The list goes on and on ... and it needs to stop. And yes, this is all being done as a distraction - the Democratic Party has run out of gimmicks ... Russia, the Ukraine, Kavanaugh, Impeachment, COVID-19 ... none of it worked. They have to play the only card they have left ... the race card. They are literally willing to destroy America so there is racial division and hatred - that they think will help elect their candidates. It is sick ... it is perverse ... and if you ever think about voting for any Democrat ever again, you are a disgrace to your Country.
There are 40 million Americans out of work ... thousands and thousands of businesses were just destroyed in the last week and will never reopen ... Anarchists are running cities and dictating policy ... all while China is meticulously planning and facilitating our destruction.
Imagine you were a soldier that died at 18 invading Omaha Beach ... imagine you were a prisoner of War in Vietnam, tortured daily, for seven years ... imagine you were the retired St. Louis Police Captain ... that served your inner city community for over 40 years ... only to be shot dead over a television.
Talk about letting their sacrifices being in vain. We should all be ashamed."

He definitely has a habit of over-exaggerating. Everything with him is the "best", "most", "only", "first", etc...., and if taken literally, can often be proven to be not exactly the "best", "most", etc.... I think thats where a lot of haters get their ammo from, to prove that he lies. I know its just his style of talking, and he wouldnt be the same if he changed, but doing so allows his enemies to pick apart his sentences and do the research to find little errors to use against him.

I keep trying to explain this phenomenon, and although easy to understand, it's hard to put in writing. It's basic human nature. It will ALWAYS come down to TWO SIDES. Just like any sporting event - the top two end up competing against each other. In politics, the top two most popular "sides" will end up competing against each other in the final vote. Most voters have realized this (decades ago), and pretty much ignore the fringe parties, knowing they will never gain enough support in the final competition to win.
Perot DID cost Bush the election! I wish Perot could have won. I liked him. But the fact is, no (or very few) people on the left - read Democrats - would vote for him when they had a full blown Democrat to vote for, so most of the people who voted for Perot WOULD HAVE voted for Bush had they not had the option of Perot. It's really simple and basic, and true. Perot took many Bush voters away, while leaving Democrat voters to their side. So their side won.
It will happen the other way, too. If a "third party" left leaning candidate comes along, its most likely he will take away many vote from the Democrat nominee. Thus, in the final competition, the Democrat will have less votes than the Republican.

Maybe Tim needs to explain this to Styx. I don't know what Tim said, but I think Styx is somewhat wrong here. Styx's point is that if Republicans use harvesting tactics (where legal) to gain power, they will never outlaw such tactics and will continue to use them indefinitely. Yes, that's a possibility. But if Republicans dont use them now, they will never be in power, and the cancer that is the Democrats will just continue to grow and spread. DeSantis fixed a lot of voting issues, so it is possible for a Republican to do the right thing. I feel it's a chance worth taking. At least this way we have a 50/50 chance of the process getting better. As long a Democrats keep staying in power, there is 0 chance of the process getting better, and a huge probability that it continues to get worse. Also, if the Republicans start to use the Democrat's tactics against them, the Dems are more likely to start passing laws to forbid such things. At this point, it's really the only way Republicans will ever make any progress in close areas.

Yes, this! Actually, it goes even a step further back. I wonder, would the attempt have been made if the debate had gone in Biden's favor? A really odd string of events all linked together. "Biden is great, healthy, blah blah"...., and challenges Trump to a debate in a Biden-friendly environment under Biden-friendly rules. All is going well for team blue.
But turns out, debate is a disaster for Biden. Looks like he's dropping and Trump is surging. Another week of "Biden's great, Biden's healthy, blah blah...", but not convincing anyone. Then comes attempt. Attempt fails. Biden suddenly contracts cooviid and has to cancel all appearances. His ardent supporters still saying Biden's great, Biden's healthy, blah blah, but writing on the wall that he'll probably lose the election. In come the movers and shakers of the Dems to force Biden out and appoint Kamala.

Exactly! Where Republicans already have control, make rules to stop the Democrats from "taking advantage of the rules", like DeSantis did in Florida. In states that are now dominated by Democrats, take advantage of their rules and try to gain some ground. Then maybe later, after Republicans have some new power, we can all hope they will fix the system. But even if they don't, at least they will have some power instead of the Democrats. If they don't do something to get into power, things will never change, and Democrats will stay in power forever, even expanding their power, since they will be making the rules, and exploiting them.

I know it's not the popular opinion here, but voting R is really the only sane choice we have. I know things aren't good now, but just try to imagine this country, and your life, with the entire Govt filled with Obamas, Pelosis, Schumers, AOCs, Kamalas, and I could go on and on. As bad as they are now, just think how they would act if they had complete control over every position in govt? At least now, the RINOs keep them a little bit in check, to keep up appearences. Democrats are the enemy of this whole country and need to be stopped from ever gaining power anywhere and everywhere. Even if that means voting for a luke-warm Republican, if necessary.
What we need to do is start primarying to get MAGA Republicans in place of the RINOS. But until we do, we still need to vote for any Republican who opposes a Democrat.

Unfortunately, I'm thinking the opposite. I think Trump won't be able to live up to the expectations in his first two years (nothing against him, just that the expectations are too high), and many Republicans and crossover people who voted for him will become complacent, disillusioned, or even disgruntled, and sit out the midterms in two years - allowing Democrats to gain control of Congress. And we know what happens then.
Then, because Trump/Vance didn't accomplish as much as they promised (and by then there will have been a few major scandals, true or not), Democrats run someone young and energetic and probably win.
I hope I'm wrong, but I just have a bad feeling. Things are "TOO" right, right now. Just like how things were going so well during Trump's first term. Then we got the virus, and the rest is history.

@tmawd20 Yes it would, because nowadays, Republicans are the only ones who even remotely treat this country as the Representative Republic it is, and believe in the values, traditions, and customs that made this country what it is.
All other parties, and their members, act as if they're running (or supporting) candidates for some other country, or some other system of governance.
Let the Democrat Party go away, like some of the fringe parties we've had in the past, and let us pick the best Republicans we can, or let the Republicans split and form one or two new parties. But enough of the progressives/socialists/communists/leftists/marxists... read: DEMOCRATS.

Yep. I'm a full Trump supporter, and I could see right from the start that this bill was a lose-lose for Trump. If the bill passed, his name would forever be attached to a failure of a bill, letting Obama off the hook forever. And if the bill failed (which is good for we the people), it hands Trump his first failure and gives ammunition to people who say he's not such a good negotiator, cant get his party together, a bad leader, etc.... and I'm really tired of hearing fanboys on here saying he's paying 4D chess or some other pie in the sky dreams. He's not.
Healthcare and politics are not Trumps bally-wick. He made a mistake putting his name behind this bad bill. He's NOT perfect, he CAN make mistakes. This was not a calculated, "fake" mistake by him.
I think the next best move would be to allow the real conservatives, with his input, to put a real bill together - with all the price reducing strategies and regulation reductions, that fully eliminates and replaces Obamacare - and let it go to a vote.
This little half-measure bill they attempted only made Trump look weak and inexperienced :-(

@NickTheEnlightened Sure, the entire scenario was different (and I'm not chastising you for voting for Obama), but the point is the same. Both he and Kamala have horrible voting records, very close connections with nefarious people, have done and said things in the past they don't want the public to know about, have a friendly media who scrub or refuse to publish any harmful information, etc...
At the time, there were a lot of people trying to get the actual media to look into the people Obama was connected to, his college records (and thesis, also Michelle's), some of the things he had said prior, just lots of things that the average citizen would never know unless the media put it out there. He probably wouldn't have gotten elected had the truth been told.
Now they're doing the same with Kamala. Literally rewriting their own history for her benefit. The main difference this time around is all the independent "journalists" on social media. We can only hope this difference is enough to open some otherwise closed eyes.
PS. His opponent McCain is irrelevant to the discussion whether people were made aware of Obama's past or not. My point was about the general population not being aware of it, and even more importantly, being prevented from knowing it in many cases. The same thing is happening with Kamala - news agencies are altering or deleting their own pages that contradict what they're saying now about her. And they're not digging into her past and publishing anything negative about her. Just like they did with Obama.
Sorry, but one more thing. Whatever you say about McCain (I don't like him), I still say he would have been better than Obama. Obama kept the wars going, he was actually sympathetic to our enemies in more than a few situations, so McCain being a war hawk would have made little difference. However, with McCain, we probably wouldn't have had the racial stuff happening, nor the men-in-womens-restroom and tranns stuff proliferating every aspect of our lives. Plus McCain wasn't an enemy to US energy independence like Obama was. Bush wasn't great, neither was McCain, but all the really bad falling of our country and society started with Obama.

@afridgetoofar1818 Are you disagreeing with what I said? What did I say that was wrong? Who said anything about the war? And btw, I didn't mean EXACTLY 20 years ago to the day. My point was, as bad as Carter, Mondale, Clinton, and other "liberals" were back then, they didn't hate this country, it's founding fathers, it's constitution, it's statues, it's street names, it's patriarchy, it's greatness, or it's status as the world's super-power. That all started under Obama. And yes, I remember the 60's hippies and counter coulture (actually where it got it's true birth) but those people were a small minority of very outspoken and aggressive outliers and not representative of half the country !
Obama brought that out to the light and made it the norm for the left.

We don't do it because we're brainwashed to do so, we do it because it's the proper description. Liberals were on the left, Conservatives were on the right. The Overton window has shifted a little, but it's still true in current times. As a matter of fact, the "conceding language" aspect would be what people are trying to do today, when saying Liberals are not on the left.
I've actually seen comments saying Hillary is right-wing!
"Right" is just another word for Conservative, therefore all the other terms fall to the left, including Liberal.
(Obviously I'm talking about the US - what is conservative here may be different in other countries).
Conservatives want to conserve the values, ideals, customs, and traditions this country was founded upon. Liberals want to liberate them selves from those same values, ideals, customs, and traditions. Since our country was founded as a "right" style of society, in the US conservatives are on the right.

At the time, Biden was the old-guard, experienced white diplomat who was picked to garner the votes of the Democrats who were still afraid of the young, somewhat radical, unknown black candidate. Of all the Democrats to pick from, Biden was the most popular, at that time. (Remember, many Dems wanted him to run for Pres. prior to that, but he didnt want the job).
Actually, it's kind of lost to history, but many people were telling him to run for Pres. after Obama's two terms. He was a better choice than Hillary. But he refused, saying he didn't want to be President. While Trump was in office, he was again encouraged to run, and he still refused for a long time. Then he got in hot water with Ukraine and Hunter and it looked like the walls were closing in on him, and all of a sudden he decides to run, "for the sake of his son, Bo". Many of us saw right through that and claimed he was running only to keep the authorities off his back (back then, they would never bring cases against a popular candidate in the middle of a campaign). And sure enough, as soon as he started his campaign, all the talk about him being wanted in Ukraine and probably getting in trouble here in the US disappeared. I remember that well. It seems almost everyone else forgets it.

Because they are the modern incarnation of the "liberals" of the 60's that started the movement. They want to "liberate" the country of "conservatism". Conservatives want to "conserve" what this country was founded upon. They want to conserve the morals, rules, beliefs, traditions, and ideas the majority of this country had since it's founding. Liberlas, since the 60's particularly, try harder and harder to be liberated from those rules and traditions. It used to be foul language, drug use, long hair, promiscuous sex, uncleanliness, anti-work, and dare I say, communist (as in hippy communes). Once they achieved their liberation from the norm in pretty much all those categories, they naturally "progressed" even further, and took each category to the next step. Those early liberals have gained so much ground over the decades, that todays conservatives are basically at the point where the liberals started in the 60's. Todays conservatives are just trying to hold on (conserve) the point we're at nowadays, while the liberals are still trying hard as can be to break free from every single restraint this country and society has.
They are still the "Liberals" of today. They STILL want to be "liberated" from the rules and restraints of normal, established society.

@jeffmitoh9260 Not only that, but he was busy fighting impeachment the whole time, too! It's actually astonishing how much he accomplished considering all the circumstances. A while back, some think tank or some organization compiled a list of what he accomplished, and it was incredible. So many things on there that went under the radar, and he was never given credit for. I think he made animal abuse a federal crime, or something similar to that - do we hear all the animal rights activists praising him for that? No, we didn't even hear about it on the local news stations! He "locked in" the funding for Historically Black Colleges, so they wouldn't have to lobby Congress ever year or whatever the intervals were, to keep their doors open. Do Black mayors and Governors praise him for that? Does anyone even know he did that? Those are just two off the top of my head, but there were HUNDREDS of smaller things he did to make our lives, and our country, better, that he never got credit for.

@ainslie187 I can explain 2016. They didn't take him seriously. They didn't think he would get so many votes. Remember Hillary was ahead of him in every poll? Sure they did their usual shenanigans, but only to a moderate degree. They had no idea so many people would vote for Trump. And his votes surpassed their "shenanigans".
They made absolute sure it would not happen in 2020, so they upped their game everywhere they could. And we all noticed it this time around.
BTW, they also did their shenanigans in Obama's second term (actually I think they do automatically, every election). If you were paying attention politically back then, coming up to Obama's incumbent election, a lot of bad things were going on almost everywhere. Lots of problems overseas, a bad economy here, all the stuff about Rev Wright and Obama's ties to radicals in his early years were finally hitting the mainstream, just a lot of stuff about him that was kept silent by the media was hitting the regular folk by now. Even black people saw he was just a talking puppet with no real intentions to make this country better. Many people didn't think he could win re-election. But surprisingly, he did.
So Dems have been doing this probably every single election. They just didn't prepare for the following Trump had his first time around. They obviously have learned from their mistake.

this isnt about the world ending, just a civil war. and if you look at each of those generations you mentioned, there was ww1, ww2, vietnam, some cold war stuff that reagan skirted, then we had some attacks on us, including 9/11, then we went to war in the mid east, then lots of bombings and mass killings and beheadings went on for years, so i tend to think that when people start thinking bad things are happening in each generation, they often turn out right.

I worry about that too. So many of the comments on "our" side make it sound like it's going to be the end of Kamala's career, and I think a lot of people are in for a rude awakening. Trump isn't really a good debater. I fear for one, he'll answer every question with, "They're emptying out their jails...", which he did with Biden and in almost every interview I've seen. And if he makes any other mistakes (or lies), it will be used against him relentlessly. The bar is set so low for Kamala, all she has to do is NOT screw up, and she'll appear the winner. Her speech at the DNC rally was pretty good. I don't think this will be as easy for Trump as a lot of people here. I hope I'm wrong and he's on his sharpest, best behavior, and that she stammers, flubs, and totally loses for all eyes to see. But I'm still worried...we will see.

@1685Violin I don't know you came up with that, but in my state, and everywhere other state I know about, having a mortgage has zero effect on your taxes. The taxes are a set amount, usually derived by the property's worth, its size, sometimes fixtures, etc...
A mortgage generally will collect 1/12 of the estimated yearly taxes from you every month you pay your martgage bill. Then the mortgage company will pay the tax bill when it's due. If you pay off the mortgage, when the tax bill comes, YOU will have to pay it now, out of pocket. But you were still paying for it when you had a mortgage with monthly payments. And the amount of it hasn't changed.

@4thzone697 well, for one thing, thats not really funny at all. more like pathetic. and by "educated", what you actually mean is "college indoctrinated".
tell me, if you could completely remove all politics and right/left, republican/democrat influences, and just look at the issue logically, what option do you think the "educated" or smart person would choose if given these two options - 1) enforce our already existing laws that were voted on and passed by our government, or 2) ignore our laws, pretend they dont exist, and allow unknown foreign invaders into our country during a contagious disease pandemic and terrorist threat from warring nations?
Really. Take the blinders off and think about which choice an "educated" person would pick. Pretend its not even our country. Pretend some country in Africa was having this issue. Would you (I assume being "educated") choose to go by whatever immigration laws they already have, or choose to illegally break those laws and call anyone who wants to enforce them racists?
Similar arguments can be made for almost every single issue the Democrats take a stand on. Minimum wage is another one that any intelligent person could write a book about how the dems are wrong and are literally going against common sense.
2
-
@4thzone697 Honestly though, I didn't. That is NOT the most ludicrous FAR left policy. It's literally what our president, and almost every single left-run city, municipality, or state, is doing at this moment. That is just main-stream left policy at this point. I live in Maryland, with a REPUBLICAN governor, and my state is a sanctuary state. He is simply surrounded by Democrats and must govern as a Republican-lite to get anything done.
The issue I brought up is a casual left/Democrat viewpoint. There are ZERO Democrats running for any high office who want to simply enforce existing law, let alone build a wall or make any stricter laws concerning who is coming into our country. Kind of un-intelligent, considering Covid, huh?

@tomas-333 Bro people on well water and septic still pay property taxes. And costs to the municipal water system are reflected in the bill. Anyway, sales and income taxes are supposed to cover general govt services. And gasoline tax along with registration fees, license fees, tolls, and car purchase taxes are supposed to pay for the roads which are used. Once a house is purchased, the govt does not provide any services directly associated with that property. All maintenance, upkeep, repairs, and causalities are the owner's responsibility. Police, fire, & medical -again, that's supposed to fall under our sales and income taxes bro.

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney said in the video. "All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what"
"And I mean the president starts out with 48, 49 percent … he starts off with a huge number," Romney continued. "These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. So he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean, that’s what they sell every four years. And so my job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives"
What he said is true. In this quote above, every time he says "president", "he", or "him", he's referring to Obama, but generally means ANY Democrat opponent. It's true, Democrats have a lock on about 47% of the population. Gov't. workers, Unions, Ghetto slums, minorities, and most people living on Gov't assistance of some sort will ALWAYS vote Democrat no matter who it is. A Republican can make the best tax plan ever, and those people will STILL say "the rich arent paying enough" (Exhibit A-Trump)... so what Romney was saying is that there was no reason for him to try to convince those types of people or to befriend them. He needs to go after the fence-sitters, plus impress his base enough to motivate them to go out and vote.
EDIT - The "no income tax" part refers to FEDERAL INCOME TAX, not SS, sales tax, property tax, liquor tax, etc...

That's true to a point, I totally understand where you're coming from. But there is a huge problem in that way of thinking. We're not in a perfect world. The reality is that politics IS a team sport. It will always be, simply due to human nature. Groups of people will always gravitate toward others or "help" others who have a similar view of how our country should be run (or more cynically, who can help them the most).
"Political Parties" will always form, even if 100% organically.
And because of this, in my opinion why I think your way of thinking is detrimental, any vote "for the other side" is giving the group of people who do not share your feelings power
Even if you think one specific candidate one the other side is good for your interests, giving that candidate votes is giving his whole party power. It really does work that way. Political networking on the surface (like a candidate endorsing others in his party, and voting on bills his party members sponsor, etc...) happens all the time, but even more so under the surface. Intern placements, project approvals, money shuffling, fundraising, ... all kinds of things going on beyond just voting for war or not, raise taxes or not, etc...
So the idea is to never give the opposing party any power or opportunity to advance itself.
Using your example of Bush, yes, he was pretty much a failed President. But what would have happened to our country under President Gore? Probably the same global catastrophes but more wokeness than recently under Biden!
And remember, NOT voting for the front runner on your side is giving your vote to the front runner opposing you!
Sorry for writing a rambling essay, but I think that if more people understood this and acted accordingly, we'd have better candidates and no one would even be considering AOC for President right now! (I hope she does run, haha, as she should be easy to beat, but hopefully you got my point).

Yeah, I was going to make a comment similar but didn't want to stir anything up. Just like the young kids today get all their news about Trump from the mainstream news and leftwing outlets, Styx gets all his news about Reagan from those same mainstream news organizations. Reagan was so good for this country, even those sources have a hard time finding faults with him, so they often over-exaggerate his Alzheimer's.
The truth is, he didn't really start getting the signs like Biden had 4 years ago, until years after he left the Presidency.
But Styx believes the CBS & PBS news documentaries about him like gospel, just like the kids today do about Trump.
I lived through both Carter and Reagan. Times were different back then, but Trump is the closest thing we've seen to another Reagan we'll probably ever see. And four or eight or more years of anyone-Reagan-esque would do this country, and the world, well - infinitely more than any Democrat!

@VeryLuckyGamers I've noticed a bad trend about many of Styx's viewers/commenters. I've seen it elsewhere, but it really shows on his videos. They seem to attract this new type of people who use war as the litmus test for EVERYTHING and the ONLY thing. If a person EVER endorsed, approved, even begrudgingly, supported, or mentioned that a war was needed or was necessary, anywhere for any reason, that person is labelled a warmonger, neocon, neoliberal, RINO, "Repub & Dem the same", or any other derogatory term and is therefore a "bad" person. Context does not matter. Nor do any of the true definitions of the words.
The second type of person (and often the same person as the first) are the Jew haters. They hate anyone and everyone who is either Jewish or says anything positive about Isreal. These people, just like the first type, are idiots.
I'm glad Shapiro is on our side. I'd take him over Michael Eric Dyson, Cornell West, AOC, Bernie Sanders, and the like any day. Hating him because he supports Isreal is just asinine.

Thanks for finally saying this! These past several months, I got SO tired of seeing your own audience constantly saying Kennedy would be great if Trump couldn't run, or a Trump/Kennedy ticket would be great! I can't understand why even this audience can't see that the number one enemy of this country is the Democrat Party. Yeah, yeah, I know about the RINOs and the uniparty, but that doesn't change the fact the the Dems are the worst. A bad Republican is still better than a "good" Democrat. That good Democrat will still channel campaign money into the party for the bad Democrats, still influence young people to look favorably to Democrats, still help other Democrats get elected, and still cave in to the Dem leaders when push comes to shove. No Democrat should be elected for anything in the next election, let alone share the ticket with Trump! Don't people ever think? This audience is supposed to be more knowledgable then most. As you said, Kennedy was still a Democrat underneath. He still believed in all the failed miserable policies that have destroyed this country. Just because he happened to be on "our" side regarding the masks and vaccine doesn't make him Presidential material! Come on, grow up people!

I remember things were getting hot for him (walls closing in) just before he announced he was running for President, and my first thought was that he was running just to take the heat off himself - the authorities would never go after him during a Presidential election. Remember, he said he didn't even want the job (which I believe), but was doing it for his son? I heard a few other mentions of that on talk radio at the time, but soon after, all that talk about him being investigated and wanted seemed to be forgotten. THEN I started thinking, well, he's making all these flubs and acting like he can't remember anything - this must be the foundation he's laying for when he's finially tried and uses the "I don't remember" or "I didn't know what was going on around me" excuse, he's not actually trying to win, just trying to protect himself when it all catches up to him. Next thing I know, he wins the party nomination, and then we all know what happened after that.
But yeah, he was in hot water just before he announced, and that seems like it was lost to history.

@thunderstruck5484 Beyond that, imagine what he could have done if his fellow cabinet and party actually worked with him, instead of against him, never mind just leaving him alone. This country, and all of our lives, could have been in so much better shape right now if Trump had been able to impliment just half the things he wanted.
If you research all his accomplishments, it's amazing how much he actually got done. Much went under the radar and wasn't ever mentioned, thus never allowing him credit, but he actually did make a lot of positive changes that got lost to history, just do a little searching and it starts coming out. Unbelievable what he could have done if he had a "juggernaut" of support behind him, helping (His own party/Congress/media).

@David-we3sb Yeah, but that's really not the point here. The point is, if DeSantis runs, he will alienate a large portion of conservatives/Republicans/Trumpers, simply because of the fact that he's opposing Trump. We need every vote we can get on this side (probably more), and we need everyone on our side to support and stay active. Splitting the vote (should one run 3rd party), or discouraging a portion of our vote, will guarantee the Democrat wins.
I'm not saying it's good or bad, right or wrong, nor am I saying either Trump or DeSantis is good or bad, I'm just stating the facts how they are. DeSantis running, will be bad for "our" side, no matter what.

What you said about Cruz is similar to what you were saying about Oz. Thanks, now we have Fettermen! Then you brag about your long memory? Use you great memory to remember that when you bash the Republican and vow never to vote for him, and in effect convince your followers to do the same, you are giving the Democrat - who is ALWAYS much worse - a lot more free votes! We are trying to save our country from being overtaken. We're not necesssarily trying to find the perfect candidate as much as we're trying to save our country from the Democrats!
Do you honestly think that Cruz would be worse for this country than Biden? Hillary? Fettermen? Pelosi? AOC? Because that's what you're saying.
Elections are over so it doesn't matter much for eighteen months, but think about what that really means when say things like that, and what kind of effects it has.
If 1/5th of the Republicans/Libertarians/Independents went out and voted for Oz, Walker, and others that were "not good candidates" instead of staying home or voting for some third party loser, the red wave would have happened! Way too much is as stake to hold personal vendettas against candidates or parties, at this stage. Democrats and their ideals need to be defeated, for the good of this country and the rest of the world.

@desterflan I was in the middle of writing a response when it just struck me - wasnt it Heitkamp who just got caught pretending to be a moderate, not McCaskill? This whole conversation, I was thinking you were calling Heitkamp a neo-con.
I am sorry, I owe you an apology. I had been watching some videos about Heitkamp, and when I saw "pretending to be moderate", I assumed the comment was about her.
However, I responded due my my pet peeve of the overuse of the word neo-con against anyone someone doesnt like, regardless of political values or voting records. The con part is short for conservative, and as far as I know, the neo part means "new". As opposed to a traditional conservative. A "moderate" Democrat is still on the left, and still NOT a conservative, neo or not.
Sorry for jumping on your case over McCaskill. I dont know enough about her record to say youre right or wrong. I had Heitkamp on my mind....

well, if thats the way you look at it, that should be good enough reason - as if, would you rather vote for someone worse or MORE evil?
the truth is, either trump or hillary will win. and how anybody could even possibly think of voting for hillary boggles my mind.
she is a proven liar, over and over, throughout her career. and i dont just mean broken political campaign promises that they all do, i mean actual flat out lies she tells to keep herself out of jail, or to destroy her enemies.
she has accomplished nothing in her adult life. what has she accomplished in new york, or as secretary of state? in new york, all she did was attach her name on a few bills that were known to easily pass. never really had any major personal accomplishments.
as secretary, all she did was BAD! every one of her decisions turned out negative. the middle east is in ruins and dominated with isis and civil war (when bush left the mid esat fairly stable) and the rest of the world is on the brink of world war 3.
and her answer is to start more aggression with russia, import more mid east muslims into our country, and open our borders for anyone and everyone to come here.
trump isnt perfect, but he's WAY better than hillary, both on a personal level, and a political level.

The two party system will ALWAYS exist, not because of corruption or any nefarious reasons, but simply because of human nature. When there's "one" winner, there's a tendency for non-winners to team up against the winner. Just like the Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, World Series, and all other forms of sports competition. Yes, we actually do have more than two parties right now, it's just that they are weak, they are perpetual losers. (The Greens are wacko environmentalists who would bring the country down to 3rd world levels if they could. The Libertarians, while making ground, are still regarded, and attract, drug users & abusers, while not having much grasp of world affairs , only thinking about drug use as their only issue)
So, when you pick your chances for the Super Bowl at the start or in the middle of the season, do you pick the teams in the bottom of the field? Or do you pick one of the few who have a serious chance to win?
And of course, it all comes down to TWO teams at the end. It's just human nature.
Even if we somehow got rid of our system and started over with 10 equally-advantaged parties, by the time of the actual election, most of the population would have gravitated towards the single front runner on each end of the spectrum. Or each side of the line. It would come down to the most popular candidate on the "right" side vs. the most popular candidate on the "left" side.
I'm not saying its good, bad, or anything else, just that its basically inevitable, and cant be changed. The only thing that can be done is to change the actual parties. But you're always going to get a choice of one side or the other in the end.

-
Arth Denton i didnt say politics was sports, i used sports as an example. In the beginning, people back various candidates and various parties. As time goes on and election day nears, most people stop donating or campaigning for their favorite, in favor of the more "popular" one.
I dont know about other countries (can u give some examples), but in the US, its always going to come down to 2 major parties. They may change. May change names, may change platforms/beliefs... but the population with always gravitate to one side or the other.
If we have party A with about 50% percent of the vote, and parties B and C with 25% each, neither has a chance of winning, so people who are against party A, will support whichever of the other 2 that has a better chance. Eventually, the majority go to that party, and the third one is left with single digit support.

Laughing Achilles
i was being sarcastic about the free tuition and pot comment, not my first one, duh!!!!
you said my comment was unreadable.
i dont know if that means you didnt read it, or did, but just didnt approve of it.
if you didnt read it, shut up and go on your way.
if you did, please explain what makes it unreadable.
for your information, i AM registered as an independent!
but the truth is, there will ALWAYS be just two viable candidates.
just like in sports, it always comes down to two teams.
people pick sides.
the green party will never be taken seriously because they are all too radical in their views, beliefs, and desires.
libertarians are making progress, but i think right now they dont have the 'infrastructure' to organize good enough campaigns. another problem they have is that they are too wide-spectrum, meaning their candidates sometimes are far right and sometimes far left.
forget communists & socialists.
that comes down to two parties representing two basic kinds of people:
one kind are 'conservative' who appreciate how this country was built - personal responsibility, freedom, patriotism, little government intrusion, more power going to the states & the citizens and less power going to the federal govt, and the chance of any citizen to achieve his/her dreams.
the other kind used to be called 'liberals', but now call themselves 'progressives', and they want to change everything this country stands for. they generally dont like this country, and think it was formed illegally, needs to be punished for its slavery days, they think the federal government is the answer to all problems, and should be given authority to decide everything about a citizen from cradle ti grave, from what kinds of condiments are available in restaurants to white kinds of light bulbs a citizen can buy, to what kind of fuel and even fuel mileage his car gets.these are the people who demonize big corporations for being powerful & 'greedy', but wants to give the govt even more power & money!
they also believe the money we make belongs to the govt first, and its the govt's choice to give back what it feels we deserve.
as you can see, these two ideals are far apart. the problem arises because once a third party comes along, it will obviously be closer to one or the other, so what will happen is it will split the people ALREADY on that side, thus guaranteeing NEITHER of them wins.
so the REAL answer is to change the party!
i think thats what is happening right now.
trump is changing the republican party. and for good reason. the party's leaders have been in govt too long, and have been complacent in allowing the other side to flourish.
like you, i too want all of the current crop of republicans to be removed. there's only a handful of good ones i'd like to keep.
and i would vote for ANYBODY to keep hillary out!

Jordan Williams i dont think they "have" to, but if democrats are going to demand to see everything they can that may give them something to condemn trump with, they "should" demand the same things from nominees of their own party.
and barack and michelle being "highly intelligent" has nothing to do with it. nor does "being black". only racist people like you worry about someone's color.
it's more because of the fact that the obama's spent thousands to prevent anyone finding their school records. that alone makes people curious. it would be nice if the public could see if obama got special benefits for claiming to be a "foreign" student.
seeing his grades and attendance would be nice, too. it's been suspected that each of their theses were written about how bad america as a country was/is, and portrayed their disdain for our country. that would have been nice to know, before voting for such people.
as it worked out, nearly everything obama has done since being president has aided our enemies and made our country less powerful and less respected in this world.
as an aside, it would be nice to see, and interview, some of his "students" since he claimed to be a college professor.
you can be sure if bush, or trump, had "college professor" on their resume, CNN, MSNBC, and every other major news outlet would put all their resources into interviewing their students and finding information about their courses.

Oh cool! I was afraid u would take it as "arguing" from me. I just see it differently - I see how they keep getting away with these things (the Ann Coulter "win" for them was a HUGE loss for us normal people, I think), and as long as we keep caving in to them, and the media, police, courts, academia, etc... keep taking their side, they will continue to do this, finding ever more idiotic reasons to "protest".
I WISH it was at the end of it's life! I just dont see it, I even think it still has some growth left.
Let's just hope I'm wrong and just being pessimistic, and you're right about them simply getting desperate :-(

That never stopped them before, and it wont in the future. How is Nancy Pelosi so rich? Maxine Waters? Harry Reid? For that matter, Elijah Cummings, who is dumb as box of rocks? The FBI should start an investigation on every one of them immediately! But it wont happen. The Dems are always immune to this kind of stuff. For one thing, Dems are for big govt, and every one of these investigations is run by the govt, for the govt. Every person involved other than maybe 1 or 2 leaders, is in on the scam, to protect one of their own! Look at lois Lerner, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, etc..... nobody ever knows nothing :-(
I hope youre right, and this becomes a huge awakening to the masses about the Dem party, as, as you said, they empty all their barrels on Trump and are left with nothing, looking the fools they are. But I have a bad feeling that after Trump, things go back to business as usual....

Is you IQ like 80 or something??? It is NOT a false equivalency! You people dont like /are afraid to hear speech that is pro-United States and conservative, and have taken to doing ANYTHING to stop it!
Show me one riot that the right started after this 2016 election! You can not. It's because the right did not and does not riot. That is what the left did and does. All those riots you saw just before the election were THE LEFT, you imbecile! They were trying to stop Trump, just like they have done to Milo, Ben Shapiro, now Ann, and even a handful of less-well-known conservatives along the way.
Even at the recent height of the Right's display of rebellion (the Tea Party), it was widely remarked about how respectable and peaceable their demonstrations were, even cleaning up after themselves! (compare them to the occupy movement losers).
And yes Ann's speech WAS canceled. After some negative publicity, the college offered to reschedule it, along with some fine print details detrimental to Ann. She refused and has stated she will stand by her original plans.
Again, if the cancellation was for her safety, why was SHE cancelled, instead of the Antifa buffoons? Common sense would be to prevent ALL demonstrations on the day of the event. They were only using that as an excuse to stop her. Everyone knows this.
To copy a comment below, "The mayor of Berkeley is a proven sympathizer with BAMN and ANTIFA". Also, some faculty members are, according to their internet profiles. THIS is the reason they are trying to stop her. Not for her safety. They just dont like hearing conservative speech. (but dont mind taking our tax dollars)

***** all the more reason, never have it on your person, in your car, or in your body, and u have nothing to worry about.
And what do the pharma companies have to do with anything concerning smoking pot? Thanks to modern medicine, people are now living into late 70s or onto their 80s. They weren't doing that back in the 50s or 60s! Heart medicine, thyroid medicine, anti seizure meds, etc have improved and extended the lives of millions of people. Pharma companies r not our enemy.
I didnt mean to start an argument with u, but i can only take so many pro-weed people worrying about their next hit, and yours was the comment i happened to reply on.
We could have hillary running things, putting her wacko, corrupt, inept people in every corner of the govt right now, and just because trump has Sessions in who wants to enforce EXISTING laws, all u druggies want to destroy trumps administration.
Pot has pretty much been illegal this whole time, none of u prople should be addicted to it anyway, since its already illegal.
So stop crying that u may be caught.

exactly! thats what i said way back when. if they open that can of worms, a LOT of people are going down -the whole DNC, almost all democrat congressmen, some establishment republicans, some heads in the IRS, obviously loretta lynch and her cronies in the DOJ, several members of the media, and last but not least - obama!
ALLLLL corrupt, and involved in the corruption. it would take years and shut the govt down, nearly dismantle it. it just cant be done. its a lot easier for comey to say, "we found she committed crimes, but see no precedent, so we recommend not to indict".

he didnt CHEAT anybody, you dumb ignorant moron. he wrote off deductions like every other person who had an accountant do their taxes, including Hillary, who wrote off about $3/4 million in 2005. By the way, Bill Clinton was Pres when Trump did that, so if they didnt like the tax rules, he could have changed them. The fact is, Bill Clinton, and all his rich wealthy buddies, including Hillary, liked having all those laws in the tax code, because they ALL were using them to pay less in taxes. Trump is the only one who has admitted the tax code is a scam and way too complicated, just to let special interests to get special favors. He's the only one who's running who truly wants to simply and lower taxes for EVERYONE!

str8 r1d3r i understand your concern about him & 'the button', but really, use your intelligence. he may not know how to play the political talking game very well, but he's not stupid. he obviously knows how to get along with people and get things done without murdering people or blowing things up.
there are safeguards in place concerning nuclear weapons. he's NOT gonna go in there and nuke his enemies just because they made him mad. come on - you know he's smarter than that!
and the fact that he didnt rule anything out shows that he's actually smarter than you.
just like when the republicans said, "we will never impeach obama" several years ago, it just gave obama carte blanche to do whatever he wanted.
regardless of whether you ever will or will not, you never tell your enemy your plans! you always have to leave them wondering! most people learned that back in grade school when playing games.
just like when obama announced to the world, the EXACT date we would pull all troop out of iraq - the enemy laid low and simply waited for that day. they planned, organized, recruited, and formed isis behind the scenes while they waited for the day, the whole time the rest of the world thought obama was so smart :-(
we pull out of iraq, and isis takes over the whole region and is stronger than al queada ever was! now we have suicide bombings all over the world thanks to obama & hillary's idiotic way of governing.
by trump NOT taking nukes off the table, it makes people wonder. it keeps putin honest, and makes iran think twice before trying anything. same with china and north korea.

THANK YOU!!!!!
I remember in school we were taught how we were entering another ice age (due to the use of fossil fuels, of course). We had special assemblies about energy conservation- wind, solar power, etc, all to avoid being frozen to death! Of course, these were the same 'smart people' who a few years ago were crying about global warming,,,,,, and now have changed simply to 'climate change'.
But whenever I bring this up, people call me a liar and refuse to believe that they taught about an ice age back in the 70's!!! They literally say no one in authority ever 'warned us' about the possibility of the earth entering an ice age. I KNOW I remember correctly!
And they used the same reasons, too - the over-use of gasoline, coal, oil, etc....
I'm so glad to hear someone else confirm my memories!!!

Asenueh
do we have to go over this again..???
i could fill several pages about how poor that argument is. this is the united states of america, NOT some small homogeneous european country.
there are multitudes of political, social, and economic differences that make that form of socialism/communism suicide for our country.
by the way, for every country that you mention that that style of government is doing OK in, I can counter with another country is being destroyed by it. Or a country that no longer even exists because of it!
just for a very easy, quick argument - you mentioned education. well, before LIBERALS took over our education system, we WERE the top in the world. people like jill stein are the exact reason why we have fallen so far in education in this country!
and please dont respond with some propaganda about "free college". THAT is not our problem. our problem is that we're graduating people after 12th grade who only have 6-7th grade reading & math skills, and know more about "gender discrimination" than they do about science. (and by science, i dont mean global warming)
1
-
Asenueh I appreciate your opinion and your response, but I have to say it is completely false. We spend MUCH more on education today than we did back when we were the best.
That argument is the "left's" go-to answer to everything - "We need more money! Raise taxes!"
In my state, private schools educate a student for about 1/3 the cost that is allotted to each public student, and turn out a much, much better educated and prepared graduate.
I see you mentioned, "public investment" - those are code words only a political hack or party shill would use. What they really mean are "INCREASED TAXES".
That is exactly why I, and many others, call Jill a wacko.
If you haven't noticed, we citizens in this country are sick & tired of more and more taxes!
Our government is grossly inept and inefficient at best, and corrupt at worst.
THAT is why we have fallen in every category, on the world stage.
The LAST thing we need to do is confiscate more money from the producers in society, and give more money to the inept, inefficient, corrupt bureaucracy of government.
There is a sea change happening right now, and people like Stein are on the wrong side of history.

-
Asenueh
I agree with your last 2 paragraphs. I agree a little about some of your other points. As Trump said, there are too many inconsistencies and "deductions" (many on the left mistakenly call them loopholes) in our tax code, and should be streamlined and simplified. He said he and his rich friends could very well pay more taxes under his changes.
I dont agree at all with the inheritance tax. I dont think there should be any at all.
Again, as I said, we still spend much more per pupil today than we did when we were great. Yes, there may have been cuts, or changes in the way the funding is handled in different localities, but overall, we're still spending much more - and getting much less.
The answer isnt more money. Get the Liberal Propaganda Doctrine out of schools and go back to the STEM studies, and trim 1/4 to 1/3 of the top-heavy bureaucracy off, add a little discipline, and we could again produce world-class graduates.
Get rid of the NEA and teachers unions, and we all could even get tax breaks while doing so!! :-)

Mike W While all of that is true, it has nothing to do with what we were talking about, and certainly doesnt prove your point!
18 , selling herion, with illegal guns and 2 kids, ---- good, put him in jail, thats right where he belongs.
And to bring this convo back to the point, since you keep trying to make some other points (?) , do you think legalizing drugs would keep this whole scenario from happening?
No, it wouldn't! The people would still do the same things, it would just be with untaxed, unregulated, unrestricted, 'black market' drugs! And kids would be MORE likely to try them because, hey, they're LEGAL, right? they cant be that bad for you!

I hope youre right, but i dont think you are. Remember, Hillary still got a little over half the vote. And I just KNOW the media will fight Trump the entire time, and blame him for every single 'problem' in the country. Plus they will rewrite history to make Obama look much better than he was. The media - and all of academia - will barrage the public with stories about how good things were under Obama, and how bad Trump is doing.
Such as when under Bush, every night the media made a big deal about how many US soldiers had been killed in Iraq, then suddenly, once Obama was in, even though there were more causalities, the media forgot to keep telling us every single day!
Im just afraid Trump will be criticized and made to look bad the whole way.
Then the Dems will be out in full force next time around :-(
I hope youre right, tho.

Patrick J. Colliano Sorry, you're still an idiot. #9, I already said that, and said it wasn't an issue. Of all the other points you make, several are flat out false, and on nearly every single one, whether you state the initial truth or not, you go beyond and make speculations, insinuations, or plain propagandist lies.
Being a terrible student - What does Trump have to do with that? That "rumor" has been going around since his book. His mother called him a loafer, and he called himself a bum, indifferent, and unfocused, who only cared about partying. To most people, that does not describe a good student.
Nobody said he took the place of a white student. See what you did there? You turned a legitimate observation into a racist rant. You took a true observation, then ASSUMED your own racism and bigotry into further observations.
You did that to almost every point. Thats what I've come to expect from the real racists out there. People like you.
1
-
Patrick J. Colliano No, you didnt. You did exactly what you're accusing other people of. Half the stuff you said was an outright lie, the other stuff, you took the truth, then made your own accusations and assumptions on what it led to or what it meant.
And how about this - I'll play along with your stupid propaganda game, and pretend Trump IS a racist.
So what???? Thats still better than a lying, communist, anti-white, anti-American, hateful, spiteful, no-experience-having buffoon of a community organizer (trouble starter), or a lying, corrupt, inept, race-baiting, socialist, war-mongering, criminal!
At least the "racist" Trump wants this country to survive and thrive, and will try to make actual changes to allow that to happen. And if it does, it will benefit all citizens of all races. So who cares if he's racist, as long as he puts our country first and makes our country thrive???

its an interesting point, but i think that 'feeling' is only a small minority (people here, etc). the vast public majority doesnt follow politics and only gets information from tv news shows, or political ads on tv.
the regular citizen only knows trump is a sexist, racist, buffoon, and hillary is a smart, experienced woman!
the problem is, since we can never change the mainstream media, we need to find ways to get regular people to see more of the leaks, and what they mean, etc...
because in my personal experience, the average person doesnt know , and doesnt care about the leaks or undercover videos.

That is one complaint I have against Trump and his campaign. I'm sure they have the funds. They NEED to make some good commercials and play them on the MSM and even on internet sites, like YouTube and FB and wherever else is popular. Going on Fox and letting his already-on-the-right influencers "react" to his videos/ads isn't changing any minds. Kamala and the DNC are peppering all those places non stop with their own ads, disparaging Trump, and that's all the general public ever sees. Also, as another commenter mentioned, the Spanish speaking networks (which are much more popular in this country than many people think), are nothing but Kamala ads. No Trump or Republican! Many Spanish speaking citizens (and even non citizens) here are somewhat religious and at least moderately conservative, but ALL they ever see are fear ads about Trump and praise ads for Kamala. Trump could do well if he spent a lot of money putting his ads on those types of outlets. Right now, he seems to be just spinning his wheels preaching to the choir. He has an insane amount of material to make many, many, really good advertisements! He and the RNC need to get on the ball and start advertising to the "others".

Regulated back then came from the root word, regular. As in regular use, or maybe even regular people. It did NOT mean "government regulations", most definitely. At the time, every regular person with arms was considered part of the "militia". And we're talking state's militias. The amendment was written to protect the states and the people from the Federal govt, just like the 1st, free assembly and speech amendment.
In the original draft, it's saying that the Federal govt can not infringe (limit, curtail, prevent, regulate) on the rights of the people to have and to regularly USE arms, as that is what keeps a country free (from enemies foreign and domestic), although at the same time, the govt can not force a person to take up arms.

@TheAmbientMage Correct, Conservatives want to conserve the morals, traditions, beliefs, values, and history of our society. But Liberals want to liberate us from those same morals, traditions, beliefs, values, and history. Liberals and Leftism or "The Left" go hand in hand. They were the Hippy culture, the drug culture, the free love with no consequences culture. Liberals/Leftists/Democrats/and now Progressives. All the same thing, just a change of a word.
You can also add in Socialists/Marxists/Communists. They want to "Liberate" this country from it's Republic form of government of which it was founded.

I agree she rigged it, but I doubt it will come out. Look at the illegal voters. Most sane people know for a fact that there are countless illegal alien voters, (because many people now them personally) - even in my area back when Ellen Sauerbrey contested a close election, they found many dead people and illegal votes (but not enough to turn the election, conveniently) and that was BEFORE all this open sanctuary city nonsense. Just IMAGINE how many illegals vote now! They are multiple times more bolden nowadays than before.
And here, right on this video's comment section, we have lying idiots saying there is no illegal voting going on! It's a can of worms too big to open. A few people make the claims, but there's always enough people within the system to push the issue to the back burner and it eventually dies, or just becomes joke-material.
Didn't Elizabeth Warren initiate several recounts after Hillary's loss, and they started coming in with MORE votes for Trump as had been previously counted, so the whole thing quickly and quietly got squashed?
And haven't several states/municipalities refused to turn over their voter records?
Bottom line is, I dont see it ever coming out. Voter fraud/illegal aliens voting is the Democrat's bread and butter. Every single Democrat in this country would do whatever was necessary to sabotage any real probe/inquiry/investigation into it. It just isn't gonna happen....

Therein lies the problem. NOBODY wants a homeless encampment in their neighborhood, or a bunch of drug addicts congregating around waiting to get their morning fix! It's not just a "Christian" problem, as you like to jump on the bandwagon every small chance you get. Just like the TDS sufferers, you obviously have a Christian (or Religion) Derangement Syndrome. I admit Christianity has it's faults. I don't practice any of the faiths. But I respect people's religion. And I know the "Satanic" religion, or even Secular religion, has the same or similar faults as Christianity. As we've seen numerous times, many Anti-Religious Democrats display the same acts of NIMBY-ism. They complain about drug addicts, the homeless, even wind farms! And they do not describe themselves as Christians in the least. So, it's not a Christian thing, it's just a human nature thing.
I'd go so far as to say you (Styx) are just as guilty of it as anyone! I know you want the homeless to receive help, and also drug addicts. But I bet you don't want a homeless shelter next to your property! Nor a methodone clinic!

I'm torn about Julian. If he indeed did have a hand in "stealing" the secret, classified government military information, then in order to not make a hypocrite of myself, I have to say I think he needs to have a trial. I don't want to be like a Democrat and want only MY side to break the laws while condemning the other side.
However, if indeed he had no part of actually obtaining the information, but merely published what was given to him, then I'm much more lenient towards him. (although I do still have problems with making our military secrets available to the rest of the world).
Now, what he did against Hillary and the Democrat party, I think he deserves a medal, journalistic award, and the Nobel Peace Prize! 🏆👍
I guess what I'm saying is, just because you CAN publish something, doesn't mean you should or its the right thing to do. National security isn't "taking sides". It's just National security.

Its hard to compare Japan and it's systems to other countries like the US. Japan is a very homogeneous society with a culture that ingrains into its people since birth the qualities of respect, honor, family, responsibility, and pride. Also the desire to achieve and be successful. Sort of the opposite of the things we as a society teach, and expect of, our children. We teach our children how bad our country is, how bad our founders were, how corrupt our leaders and authority figures (police) are, and how everything should be simply given to our children, with no sacrifices from them.
Also, Japan doesnt have millions of freeloaders invading it every year.

@thorild69 No, it doesn't really matter what rifle was there, but it does matter what the news reports. If they're going to name the rifle, they should name it correctly. If a car had crashed into the fence, and the news kept calling it a Tesla when it was actually an F-150 (or maybe even a Volkswagon), they deserve to be constantly corrected. It means they're either being lazy and incompetent at their job, or worse, purposely misrepresenting something (lying) for political reasons.
If they didn't know the model, they could just say, "semi-auto rifle", or just, "rifle".

@eugenecrawford14 So you are proving my point. They are not all the same, nor all one party. Team R is different from Team D. It DOES matter who you vote for and that you do vote.
Im sorry for "starting" an argument, and I dont intend to, I'm just trying to make a point to some of these people on here that probably have the same views as I do, that voting and being active in the process does matter. Both parties are definitely not the same. People who throw up their hands and give up allow these bad things to happen.
Of course there are some bad Republicans. But there are NO good Democrats. Two or three may have made the correct vote once or twice, but those are definitely the rarity. At least half, and more likely most, Republicans vote correctly nearly all the time (no party or individual is perfect).
The leader has a lot to do with how things go, so getting a better Republican leader would go a long way to shaping the party up. Obviously we need a true conservative who follows the constitution AND isnt afraid to ruffle feathers or hurt feelings.
You're not going to get what you want with the Democrats in charge, nor the Green party or Socialists. Not even Libertarian, which sounds good on paper but seems to only attract drug addicts who want legal drugs.
So you're stuck with Republicans. Theyre not perfect, but they're assuredly better than Democrats or the fringe parties.
Ok, my rant is over. Sorry. I just get tired of people giving up and just saying both parties are the same. Lets try to work together and fix some things 🙂

Democrats have always been, and still are the left., in THIS country, which is all that matters. We're not comparing US Democrats to the Venezuelan government, nor North Korea. WITHIN the US system of government, Democrats are on the left, Republicans are on the right.
The US is a military-industrial complex. We are the world's superpower. Every American, and every American politician or political party should be in favor of our military (and our big businesses) by nature.
The line between left and right lies within that realm, as to how far one leans from center.
And correct, we are NOT full on socialist. At least not now. But Bernie is a socialist. And evidently the entire college population is socialist, who worship Bernie, Che, Mao, etc...
Coming from THEIR point of view, yes, Hillary might be considered "right", but within the world of American politics, she is left of center, as is the whole Democrat party.
Gun rights, abortion, gay rights, taxes, school choice, health care, "it takes a village"..... On every major issue, she sides with the left.
Like I said, I dont even understand how this can be an argument. Unless you're comparing her to some third world communist dictator.

Not to knock Styx, especially when he's complimenting his fans (I'm one), but this exposes one of his weak points. Fox news OFTEN chastises/debunks Right Wing Watch, or uses one of their articles or accusations as a debate topic. Tucker Carlson has mentioned them several times (always proving how wrong/insane they are). This is why I get upset at Styx for ALWAYS knocking Fox news. Nobody's perfect, but at least Fox is more on "our side" and doesn't fall in line with the rest of the mainstream news such as MSNBC & CNN.
He constantly insinuates Fox is just like the rest, when it isn't. And a lot of his fans seem to follow along with him, making comments such as, "I get ALL my news from Styx", and "I wont watch any corporate news, I only watch Styx, Sargon, etc...".
Well, when you do this, you end up not getting the full news, and end up never hearing about things that are happening outside the tiny bubble.

I'm not here to play Monday night global politics about what should have or could have. I'm simply stating facts. The fact was, Iraq was stable during the end of Bush's term. We had basically "won". Liberals and leftists didn't like us being there, and wanted us out at any cost. All top military officials, and nearly everyone on the right, plus most all normal-thinking centrists, knew and warned that if we pulled out and let the Iraqi's fend for themselves, the remnants of Al Qaeda, along with similar-thinking groups would rush in to gain control of the country. Obama and his side were too stupid or ignorant to comprehend this and did it anyway - even publicly advertising the date - which resulted in the Iraq we had for the last 9 years, along with the increased terrorist attacks worldwide and other Mideast troubles ...
And about your petro-dollar remarks, maybe you werent even alive at the time, but back then, almost the whole world was in agreement that Saddam was a madman and wanted to expand his control, and he had WMD's and was working on obtaining even more and greater capability WMD's. The UN tried for over a year to get into Iraq to inspect for such things and Saddam refused to cooperate. He was believed to be a very dangerous man with very bad intentions at the time, and nearly everyone agreed he had to be stopped.
We did not go to war "only for oil".

I wish simple minded morons would stop using "multi-national corporation" as a pejorative. Without them we wouldn't have the computer or phone to post or watch these vids! We wouldn't have over half the common conveniences we take for granted every day. Your jeans, your watch, your shampoo, your lawnmower, car, light bulbs, washing machine, microwave oven, refrigerator, and much of the everyday things you use, that give you decent service at a moderate cost were made by big corporations. With corporations, you wouldnt have those items, or you would pay double or triple or more for the privilege of having some small mom & pop shop design and make them for you.

Oh, is that Healthcare 101?
So under 101, Medicare & Medicaid IS single payer (US Govt) just like I explained above. And it is wrought with paperwork, inefficiencies, red tape, bureaucracy, fraud, constant budget overruns. Maybe YOU need to go back to Remedial.... obviously you didn't learn much in 101.
Im not even taking sides, not saying single payer is not the answer, but I AM saying one thing it is not is efficient, and void of paperwork.
1
-
+Missilanious
Wow, are you tell ME to keep on topic??? Are you on drugs? I'm not taking anything out of context. You're the one who brought it up.
And you think this country has been pro-corporate too long???? hahahha what a joke! Corporations are what runs this country and what made this country what it is. Without them, we'd be some 3rd world country (actually, probably an annex of some other country that beat us in one of the big wars)
Corporations made those x-ray machines. They made those MRI machines. They even make the scalpels and scrubs. Its not the corporations fault.
The fault lies with this society which seems to think it deserves everything FREE, from the govt.
A citizen shouldnt need insurance, or govt help, to pay for what should be a $20-50 office visit for a cold or sore foot. But because in these modern times, we expect SOMEONE ELSE to pay for EVERYTHING, that doc now charges $150-200 for that same visit. Instead of taking your cash, he has to bill the insurance company, or the government, and wait for payment. Then possibly argue the fee and try to justify it.
Because of the government-controlled court system - his insurance has risen astronomically - obviously, he has to recoup his expenses, so he charges his patients more.
And because patients never have to actually pay for things themselves, they never even ask how much the doc charges. They dont care. They just expect someone else to pay whatever the bill is.
This is always the way it is when someone else pays the bill. Thats why single payer, universal, whatever form it takes - any socialist style of system will always be more expensive and less efficient.
If you choose to go without healthcare, or pick a job that doesnt offer it - save up your money. If you happen to have a catastrophic health event before your senior citizen benefits kick in, expect to receive very minimal care. If you dont like that, get a different job!

I've been saying similar for a few years now, ever since the first big rounds of "leaving YouTube" started, back when they got rid of the customizable channels. The main point I try to explain to people, (and I generally have a hard time explaining it clearly), is that it will be pretty much impossible for any other site to eclipse YouTube, probably ever. The reason is that YouTube has such a huge head start. There are millions of videos ALREADY on YouTube, that will never get migrated to YouTube's competitor. There are millions of old, rare concert footage videos where the uploader is either dead or no longer doing social media stuff. Yes, some of those videos could be copied and reuploaded to a YouTube competitor, but it's highly unlikely all of them will. Same for every other niche - no matter what a person searches for, YouTube will already have millions of selections uploaded, some or many of which are irreplaceable and can not be made again to upload to a new site. I just dont see how any competitor can compete with YouTube's library. As much as we talk about it, I just don't see it happening, honestly.
Is Google publicly traded? It might be easier for a bunch of rich, conservative and libertarian freedom loving people to start buying up shares and gaining some influence in the company, and change the leadership of YouTube. That might be an easier route than the endless string of start-up competitors who can never fight the beast effectively.

Exactly! I'm getting so tired of hearing Styx and his followers basing their entire political philosophy on the "war monger" moniker. As much as I hate every back-stabbing, anti-Trump Republican, I'm man enough to admit that John McCain would have been a better President than Obama. So would have Romney. We probably would have the same drone stiking and small war skirmishes as Obama did, but without all the BLM rioting, police killings, Antifa rioting and destruction and assults, and men beating females in female sports, men in women's restrooms, anti-white-male infiltrating every aspect of our lives, the green energy movement growing to scary dominence, etc...
As I always say, the worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat.

Yep! And everyone who refused to vote for the Republican frontrunner because he was a RINO, or against weed legalization, or any other stupid reason. That vote went to the Democrat instead. Also the people who voted third party because the Republican wasn't "Libertarian" enough!
As much as I despise any and all Democrats, I will give them one thing. They know how to rally their voters, get them out there to vote, and make all their votes count for their leading candidate - regardless if their candidate can barely talk, have a conversation, come outside the house, whatever..... they don't care, all they care about is getting the people out to vote for their party And as we all can see, that works.

@Joshua-ch2ij I don't believe that. I honestly think Romney actually would have won if not for cheating. I remember, things were going downhill and quite bad for Obama during that year before the election. A lot of Obama's blunders had come to light, his history was finally getting out to the masses, and overall, people were realizing he was in no way the great savior he was touted to be during his first run. I, and many people, were believing there was no way he would win his second term. When he did, I was astonished, but I chalked it up to lots of stupid voters. Looking back, I honestly believe it was a close race but Romney probably was the real winner. They tried the same shenanigans during the next election four years later, but there was so much support for Trump, and hatred of Hillary, that they didn't do enough to cover the gap between them. Then, again four years later, they learned their lesson and made sure they cheated enough to cover the span to defeat Trump. And I fully suspect they will try it probably in the coming midterms, but most definitely in the next Presidential election two years from now. I may be wrong, but I really believe that's the way things happened.
PS. And for the other comment above, I think Palen was picked because she was sort of like Trump, before that became popular. She had seemed to be well liked already in Alaska, she knew how to get things done, she was outspoken and appeared to have a good record. At the time, she looked like she had great potential. Especially as someone to compliment/contrast old-white-man McCain. She just couldn't stand up to the "press" scrutiny the way Trump did. She just wasn't ready for prime time. Or maybe the public wasn't ready for someone like her (or Trump). Remember, that was a relatively long time ago, things were different before Trump started his first campaign.

According to established law, you DO have a right to be sold those arms, if they are for sale to other age groups. The cake baker case established that a business can not discriminate against the public. It can not deny a sale based on sex, religion, AGE, race, etc....
Maybe I misunderstood when I made my first comment - I DO agree its not a violation of the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with this, actually. I was agreeing with both of you, except I was turning it upside down, and saying if the left can sue and force the baker to NOT discriminate, then we can do the same to Dicks & WalMart. If the baker MUST sell the cake, WalMart MUST sell the gun!

@Betta66 Well, actually I only saw your post as listing three, one of which isn't even a city, but now I see there is more to your list.
Well, by looking at your list, and the lists of the least safe cities, another conclusion can be drawn. If it's not "most dangerous cities are run by Democrats", as you proved with your comment, it must then be "most dangerous cities are predominately black" and "safest cities predominately white", as your comment also proved.
But I bet you would never agree to that, either, right?I figure youre a leftist or Democrat, so you will never admit to statistics or agree with anything you dont like. You will say these are generalities, not ALL cities are the same, etc...
But then you'll turn around and say most police are corrupt, most whites are racist, most Republicans are racist, most blacks are killed by white police, etc....
It never ends. Democrats use the same old tired hypocritical arguments on every subject. You people just cant stand to see the truth, believe statistics, or admit your policies have severe, serious problems in real life implementation. You always try to point the finger somewhere else, deny the truth, or make up some strawman to argue over.
1
-
Besides, your argument is still wrong. Styx says, "Yes, the Most Dangerous US Cities are All Democrat-Run"
. That is a fact, and is proven by multiple statistics from various agencies.
Your argument is that Styx is full of shit because many of the safest cities are run by Democrats.
First, you say many, which could be true in the big picture, but that "many" is still a small fraction of ALL the safest cities and municipalities. In other words, the MAJORITY of the safest areas are Republican. There just happens to be "some" safe places run by Democrats, which does not negate what Styx said - " the Most Dangerous US Cities are All Democrat-Run". Still true. So, youre the one who is full of it.

Bingo! There are several publicized instances of him (& Kamaka) stating that he will shut down oil, cancel fossil fuels, put them out of business, move them to alternative energy, etc... and his first day in office he cancels the pipeline (I understand the pipeline wasn't a miracle that would have automatically lowered gas for all the US, but it would have played a part, and the canceling of it definitely sent a message). How can the President of the US say all those things, along with the actions of his administration, and NOT expect to cause havoc with the pricing of fossil fuels?
I'm getting so sick of moronic Democrats crying, "the President doesn't set the prices and can't control the price of gas".
If it was the greedy oil companies, or greedy station owners, why were they NOT greedy under Trump? Trump himself is supposed to be a big bad greedy capitalist, so according to Democrats logic, that's when the gas prices should have gone up, due to all the greed! Instead, due to Trumps good policies and actions, prices came down. As soon as Biden was announced the winner is when they started to climb.
It's ALL on Biden and the Democrats!

@g9lk Again, yes, that IS the point. This stuff has been happening since back in the 90's with Clinton and probably long before then. That's the point. They've ALL bent the law a little, or took some "Presidential license" concerning this. Biden wasn't even President when he was doing this. Hilary literally did way worse, and the head of the FBI said no prosecuter would prosecute such crimes. Yet nothing has ever happened to any of them until Trump did the same, then all of a sudden, here come the raids and indictments. It reeks of election interference and political lynching. It more than reeks of it, it blatently IS it, without any doubt.
As Biden and Nancy said about Trump being elected again, they're "not gonna let that happen".
And yes, I know you're just a troll and don't actually care about any of this. I only wrote this in case some outsider happens to be reading the thread.

If this helps, just remember, they're both corrupt. But the Democrats are the ones who want open borders, reparations, high taxes, carbon taxes, elimination of oil and natural gas, people leading our military who can't decide if they're male or female, one-world-government, and bans on plastic bags, straws, large sodas, and basically anything else they choose YOU shouldn't have.

I dont mean to be the bad guy here, but YouTube loves this. They dont want conservative publishers, nor their followers. Google has more money than they know what to do with. Their mission is to change public policy and they are part of the army that wants to overthrow this country (or "fundamentally change" this country). They dont care if they lose 1, 2, or 10% of their audience, because they look at that part of their audience as a thorn in their side. YouTube is still growing. YouTube is still influencing young people. YouTube is still influencing the general population of this country. Those people dont listen to conservative political talk shows. Moving them all over to alternative sites that have lass than 1% of the exposure that YouTube has, guarantees those young people and the general population will never find them now. And the ones who do, aren't enough to make a difference.
I wish it wasn't so, but that's the way it is. It would be much better if some YouTube higher-up, such as Susan, got sued for discrimination, or even better, indicted for something, like political racketeering or Democrat money laundering or something, and some new people came in to run the site - some actual business people, not political activists or bribed foot soldiers for the Democrat Party.

@Lance Brown Neither of us mentioned "notice", only reason. An employee can be given 2 weeks notice, but no "reason" for being let go, and that's how it should be, its common sense. If I'm paying someone to work at my business, I should have the prerogative to hire or fire anyone I want to, without explaining my reasons to the government.
If you hire a man/company to mow your lawn, and for WHATEVER reason, you decide you want to do it yourself, or find a different man or company to do it, do you have to give the first person a REASON why you no longer require his services? It's the same principle.
And even if it borders on unethical or callous, it certainly is not CORRUPT!

@uingaeoc3905 " Strange that at his rallies the most common description by attendees, even chanting , that they LOVE him, - so you claim he is not likeable but LOVED.
Go figure. "
I figure, he's preaching to the choir at his rallies. Of COURSE the people love him at his rallies! They're HIS people, his fans! The problem is, the housewife who watches daytime TV and cooks dinner and takes care of the kids doesn't go to his rallies (obviously I'm generalizing). Nor to the young college kids that only know what their professors, or TikTok and Facebook tell them.
I'm a die hard Trump supporter, since day one, but even I'm getting tired of the "It was the best...", "It was the biggest..." , exaggerated rhetoric being repeated constantly in lieu of intelligently stating facts and figures and what they mean to us average working Americans.
Before the debate, it was laughingly idiotic to consider Kamala an option to be our President. I still believe so, but to many regular, non-political average people, the debate made her look like a viable option, and it also reinforced most of the negative opinions and insults about Trump.
Trump needs to get it through his head, what he sees at his rallies is not the entirety of the voting block. Just because they love him, doesn't mean the rest of the voters do. His base already loves him and will vote for him. He needs to do some things to make the REST of the people love him and vote for him. I'm not a fortune teller, but to me, he really failed at that in this debate.

@jamesf4405 No, because it would give the Dems more power in Washington. Think of all the things AOC, Pelosi, Schumer, Talib, et al want to accomplish in DC, and how this country would look if they continue to get enough votes to pass everything they want. We cant afford to give the Dems any more power. Even a bad Republican generally votes with the Republicans and against AOC most of the time, or at least half the time. A Dem in that position would NEVER vote against the party, and all the idiotic Dem proposals would go through, with your way of thinking
Mitch infuriates me, too, and I hope he retires or is replaced by a maga Republican. But until that happens, I would definitely prefer him over any Democrat getting that power!

@Astronopolis No, that kind of thinking is why our cities look the way they do, why gas prices skyrocketed, why inflation is so bad, and why our country is on the decline. There are forces who are trying to destroy and dismantle our country as we know (knew) it. Those forces have taken over Hollywood, Academia, much of the court system, and even trying to infiltrate our military. I'm not saying this as a conspiracy theorist, I'm just saying the truth about how the "left" has waged a war against the older, original United States and the values and traditions that made it the most advanced country in the world. The left literally wants us to be a different type of country - definitly NOT the leader of the world. They are doing everything they can, short of formally declaring military war, to accomplish that. People on our side need to start fighting back. We have been losing the war for decades, as you can see everywhere you look. It's well past time we start standing up to these people who want to change our way of life. They certainly would if it was the other way around. As a matter of fact, they already do.....

There will ALWAYS be a two party system, because of human nature. It may start out with more, but it will always narrow down to two main parties - one on one side, the other on the other side. If youre for higher taxes, bigger govt, more & more power to the EPA, more govt programs and oversight over everything, govt run healthcare, more gun control, more privileges for minorities while encroaching on the majority, vote Democrat. The opposite of all those, vote Republican.

@biscuithammer00 There will ALWAYS be an underclass, no matter what you believe. There will always be a segment of the population with lower than average IQ, lower than average work ethics, simply doesn't want to work, and various other circumstances, at the same time, there will always be jobs required that no one wants to do, and/or that anyone with no intelligence or experience can do.
The difference is, in YOUR system, you want EVERYONE to be the underclass (or just barely above) so that everyone's equal and everyone has just what they need. In right-wing capitalism, people with higher IQ, strong work ethics, or simply a desire to grow and succeed, can do so on their own merit and free will. Socialism, and all the similar "-ism's" remove or at least heavily retard that incentive. It's been proven more than once.

I've been thinking about something since the very first case was filed against Trump after his Presidency. The actions of the Democrats filing cases against him were a win-win for them. If they win any of the cases, obviously the optics would forever negate any "good" President Trump would ever be credited in the history books, and of course, help Democrats in the next election. It would also use up Trumps time and money which would hinder him building a political movement and/or running for office again. Now, if they LOSE the cases, not only would they have cost him time and money, possibly costing him the next election, but it would set the standard for trying previous Presidents. We all knew the issues of Presidential immunity, professional courtesy, and "for the good of the country", would come up. So if Trump gets off using those defenses, it lets Biden, Obama, and whatever next Democrat President gets in, off the hook for their criminal acts. I'm not saying I like it, but I think that's the way things will play out.
They either prevent Trump from becoming President, or they shield their Presidents from any future prosecutions. Win-win for them. :face-orange-frowning:

Yep! We will never know, but for the first two years of Bill's presidency, he was heading down the trail of far left, tax & spend, socialist democrat, similar to Obama. Luckily, that sparked a "Republican Revolution" just two years in, and Bill was forced to change his direction entirely. Being the good politician (fake liar) he was, he saw the attitude of the country and instead of trying to go against it, he went along with the Republican ideas and took credit for all the good that came from them.
But he never would have governed the way he did had it not been for that Republican Congress. We might have had HillaryCare, etc.....who knows what else!???!!

It's what the left uses as one of their tools. "Projection". Accuse your enemy that of which you are guilty. It's in the Rules For Radicals book.
Once you read up on it, you'll start to see that they use that *everywhere*! Racism, dictatorship, drug use, criminality, prostitution, affairs, "starting wars", gerrymandering, conspiring with foreign nations and/or enemies, judge/jury rigging, and the list goes on and on. The people on the left, from the college kids, to the media, to govt officials, ALWAYS use projection against the people on the right.
