  1. I was "making my hobby my career" on YouTube for the last several years, while working a real job a few months of the year. Well, I just ran into a rude awakening, because evidently it WAS too good to be true. YouTube just de-monetized me with no warning and rejected my appeal to re-evaluate me. Of course, they couldn't tell me what I did wrong or give me any examples of offending videos. I'm really upset, and not sure what to do for the next several months with no income. But I have no qualms with Styx. I'm actually envious! He's living the American dream! I thought I was well on the way to doing so (until YouTube ripped the rug from under me), and if I could, I'd continue doing so in some way. Society will always need the janitors, asphalt layers, food preparers, etc..., but if a person is willing to take a chance and try something else (with much less security), then all the more power to him!
