  1. Yes! That's what I was taught almost 50 years ago! I'm always thinking, "Why am I the only one who was ever told that?" NOBODY says it like that nowadays. Even the ones who try to sound smart and want to "prove a point" will chime in with, "we'Re a cOnstiTutiOnAl rePuBliC". Granted, that's better than calling us a straight Democracy, but why will no one ever call it a Representative Republic anymore?
