I recall DeSantis telling a crowd/media that he wasn't going to run if Trump decided to run. I know this can't just be a Mandela effect, right?

@we_are_so_back For some unimaginable reason, otherwise smart people, on the right side of politics (ours), think the media and everyone else in power will treat everyone other than Trump fairly and honorably. They think this is only a Trump thing. It's mind boggling to me. If DeSantis becomes our nominee, he will be called racist, misogynistic, homophobic, war monger, sexist, and every other derogatory term they can think of. His past will be dug up and twisted around to prove some wrongdoing. They will do this to ANY opponent to the Democrat nominee. They will also use their voting shenanigans again. They're not going to stop and play fair just because it's not Trump this time. People on our side (I mean people like you and me, the voters) need to be smarter!

@madtabby66 Yeah, something definitely hapened with him. He was on a roll, and looked unstoppable. He could have put all his clout into supporting Trump now, then walk into the Presidency in '28. He sounded just like that was his plan many moons ago. I'm wondering if the establishment GOP/Bush clan pulled him aside and gave him information suggesting Trump would by no means be allowed to win, possibly not even campaign, and it was up to him to win it for the Republicans. I just don't understand how he could have gone from being so good, and on our (MAGA) side, to being so bad and against us. I most definitely think he's been influenced by someone in some way.
