"last time you checked", trump also said he'd carpet bomb middle eastern countries! his point was/is, if theyre just having small civil wars, nothing major, or game changing, he would let them continue as they will. but if a line is crossed, he would act quickly, seriously, and play to win. assad using gas as a war weapon crossed the line. its good that trump did something to stop him before chemical weapons become the norm.
