  1. It wasn't a "slip", it was a calculated election maneuver. If you're old enough to have heard Rush Limbaugh, he talked about it all the time when Obama was running for reelection. At the time, the economy was terrible and there were some scandals. Obama and the Dems were doing just like they do today - campaigning on "change" and fixing all the current problems. Rush said it was the first time a candidate successfully ran against himself. It's right out of the Dem playbook.
