Are you sure that's how it happened? It was a long time ago, but I was paying attention back then. I don't think he was "disconnected" about the price of milk or bread, he was trying to act enthusiastic about a brand new scanning machine at some business fair, for a photo op. I remember a few mainstream institutions twisted it around to try diminish him (like they did with Trump walking down the metal ramp), but others quickly debunked their attempts.

@madtabby66 What does that have to do with anything? I never said I like or dislike anyone. I simply stated facts. Are we all Democrats here, where we just have to make up bad stuff to say about people we dont like?

@zq9m3xh8 And my point is, he wasn't intrigued by the price itself, but by the fact that the machine displayed it that quickly just by moving the item through the air.

@zq9m3xh8 I haven't seen it in decades (the full, unedited video), but I remember at the time the media highly edited it to make him look stupid and uninformed. I can't remember every detail, just that it kinda turned into a hit piece by the usual suspects. It wasn't nearly as bad as they made it out to be.
