  5.  @jules1896  You're comparing Alex Jones saying defamatory/libelous things about someone and losing in court and having to pay a lot of money, to the media (CNN) saying defamatory/libelous things about Kyle. Then you say he said he was sorry, but CNN didn't. Kyle filed a suit and was given a lot of money by CNN. You're claiming it's a double standard, but in both cases, the defamer had to pay the defamee. I think I might understand your argument/complaint, but using Kyle doesn't help your argument, it only proves that people can't always just say what they want about other people and not face reprocussions. A better example would have been something like Schumer lying about Romney cheating on his taxes, and after Romney lost and Schumer was found out to have lied about that, he responded, "Well, it worked, didn't it?". That was a clear cut case of libel, and nothing was done to Schumer.

  9. Washington does a lot of things to even "the best people". There are very few if any good people already in Washington, and even some of Trump's own non-Washington people ended up having crippling skeletons in their closets or backstabbing him eventually. Trump did the best he could, even trying to work with Dems for the betterment of the country, but I think even Trump couldn't anticipate how corrupt and swampy federal politics really is.
