I wont explain the whole hot mic thing, but ijn general Hillary was saying everyone who believes in the Constitution, hard work, the American way, responsibility, God, 2nd amendment, etc... are deplorable. And Romney was saying that 47% of this country will vote for Obama REGARDLESS of what the Republicans do because they live off the govt and they want big govt to support them. That the Repubs need to try to win the vote of the REST of the people! The two scenarios are totally different, not to mention the intellectual messages in each are completely opposite!

And his 47% comment was not even close to being out of touch, it was actually more truthful than most Republicans at the time would dare admit! It's something closer to what Trump might say in one of his rallies! The cold hard truth! Even if it does hurt a few people's feelings. Regardless of your opinions of any of the politicians, to say Hillary and Mitt are "the same" is just undeniably absurd.
