  1. i was watching styx, with fox tv playing in the background during election night. styx left after awhile, when it started getting interesting :-( i then skipped between fox, msnbc, and cnn until the next morning. i think the fox coverage was the best.

  2. I'm an ardent conservative talk radio fan. And that bothers me, too. Way back when I started, about 25 years ago, I didn't know they were 'paid ads', and just thought the host was recommending something he found worthy. I know how this got started - actually, it was the same with TV, when companies sponsored shows, the actors would shill for them.Talk radio started out with a bare-bones budget and the host 'made' the commercials for whoever supported his livelihood. It just sort of continued this way. Just like sports stars, the commercial has more effect if it comes directly from 'stars' mouth! I think there should be a disclaimer that 'this is a paid advertisement' before the host starts his pitch, though.

  3. Have you considered looking for a used RE20 on ebay, or anywhere else throughout the web? Personally, I think your current mic is fine. But I would be curious to hear one of your vids done with a true professional mic! If you could find a cheap one, it might be worth trying out!

  4. i think you just answered your own question! The truth is, while internet is surely taking over, its not there YET. There are still LOTS of people that turn on TV for news.
