@hyperbaroque I know! He's supposedly some type of wordsmith and his continued mispronunciations are astonishing for someone of his caliber. He's very smart. He should know "figure" is not pronounced "figger", and he refuses to change his pronunciation. And that's just a single word. There are several more I could mention, and they have nothing to do with regional dialect. (I give him a pass on my home state of "Mary Land" because I assume he's saying it that way because of its origins. But no one who went to school calls my state, "Mary Land").
