  1. It's a shame such a supposedly well-designed and over-engineered car ended up having so many design problems. I have a 2005 Passat TDI and it drives fantastic! I always equate it to a poor man's BMW, driving-wise. Gets great fuel mileage at the same time. Yeah, some oil leaks, transmission rebuild, a few drive shafts, window regulator, door lock mechanisms, A/C, and random check engine lights every few months. Other than those design flaws, seems to be built like a tank. Love the car! 🚘
