  1. raising taxes could reduce economic activity as there is less money in the hands of people who generate the employment of others. If the high income earners stop working or work less, that means significantly fewer jobs being created. It could mean they go overseas and begin creating jobs for other countries and thereby reducing the US's competitive edge. You can't tax your way out of this, They need to raise the age of retirement, reduce benefits, and address the massive amount of disability fraud by periodically assessing those on disability. You will never tax your way to prosperity.

  3.  @carlsophiabaker8856  they didn't account for people living longer and having fewer kids. They need to move the retirement age from 62 to 68. Also, all these people on disability need to get reviewed to see if they are still disabled.

  4. this have been debunked over and over. Its bogus. Rich pay nearly all the taxes in this county. Most pay 60% or more of their income to taxes. Some chose not to have income because they are so wealthy.
