I don’t think most people realize what almost happened when those banks went under. If they failed, you are looking at numerous companies who had deposits with those banks go under because they can’t make payroll. Then the stock in those companies goes to zero. Everyone who has over 250k in a small bank withdraws and puts in a big bank. Thousands of companies go under because their bank went under. The fdic can’t cover the losses because it’s in the trillions. People stop working because why bother, you can’t buy anything. Police and military walk off the job because even if they are paid. They can’t buy anything with paper. This almost happened last week and it still might because the govt decided to print 7 trillion dpllars in 2 years.
