  1. public transportation is such a waste of money for so many cities. They need to abandon completely and just give out uber/lyft gift cards to the elderly and poor. I live in a city with bus system. It is empty all day every day.

  2.  @blazikem  every city is difficult but at least where I live, funding is not the issue. If anything, the buses and trolleys are a nuisance. Virtually every dollar spent on public transportation is wasted because near zero ridership. If they spent that money on Ubers at least it would benefit someone. This is a typical govt program, something that benefits no one and we amass a debt will we never pay off.
