If you try anything to silence them, they will accuse you of abusing them mentally, verbally, pychologically, etc. They have weapons against you, and protected by the law; you don't. Parents in America are powerless, they no longer have authority over their children. Cunning children can walk all over the parents. Therefore, if you have to blame someone, then blame on the people who made the law.
