@aesop1451 well, if you’re a real conservative, you want to preserve the first amendment. It’s fine that individuals are Christians, but the government is not.

Except Bezos never said there won’t be an endorsement UNTIL that very day when execs from his Blue Origin company met with Trump people. While I don’t think endorsements matter myself, Bezos motivation was 100% his wallet and had nothing to do with journalistic principles.

Jeff Bezos, one of the world’s richest and most powerful men, obeyed in advance because of both the Trump and the carrot. Name one other president in history where his former senior cabinet members all warned against him ever holding office again, about being a fascist, about the threat to democracy.

@asherstribe5695 so, why then are you voting for Trump? Conserve the constitution? Trump said it should be suspended for him. Trump lawyers said Trump is immune if he uses Seal Team 6 to assassinate political rivals. Protect the constitution? Trumps own chief of staff called him a fascist. His own Sec of Defense called him a threat to the Constitution. His own Attorney General said he is a narcissist out for himself. Trump did bend government to enrich himself to the tune of billions of dollars, using policy to acquire it. Ever read the emoluments clause in the constitution?

@aesop1451 except if conservatism means preserving the constitution, the very first amendment says there is separation of religion and state. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the greatest conservationist of land and nature. But that would mean he is left, right?
