Who created GPS, the internet, digital imaging, and satellites that is driving thr economy now? Meanwhile, look at China for the last 30 years, which has had the most rapid economic growth in history, very much steered by the Chinese govt (even if a lot involved intellectual property theft). The bottom line is all facts run contrary to your statement.
