  1. They can't they are mechanicaly inneficient... author of the video forgot to mention this small fact, that walking robots are nowhere as energy efficient in moving as humans not to mention dogs.

  2.  @chrisfrostik8483  Yes there is much less energy avaible from the sun but the biggest problem with walking robots is how energy inefficient they are and RTG source of power is heavy. 4 legs animal consume much less energy for moving but our robots even on 4 legs consume much more energy than we do when we using only two legs.
