The nickname sounds fishy to me as typical Red Army soldier would just have raw wood on the floor in his home and there would be 10 people living in every room... nicknames from Russian wiki are: «Косторез», «Циркулярная пила Гитлера», «Эмга», «Крестовик» -> "Bone cutter", "Hitler's circular saw", "Emga", "Cross"

They just got the system... your country main success is that now whole world knows that you are patological liers... "Russia loses 40th Ka-52 Alligator, which the Kremlin calls the world's 'best helicopter gunship' Rebecca Rommen Aug 13, 2023, 4:02 PM CEST"

@slooob23 The funy part is that you talking that to the guy that thinks that B-1 Lancer is comparable to Tu-22M3... HAHA Just one look at any picture of Tu-22M3 and you can see all the analog stuff in it and how obsolete it is inside and in the same time B-1 Lancer was from the begining full of computers that was helping with flying this plane on low altitude with supersonic speed... not to mention that Tu-22M3 is not in the same class if you compare its size, payload or even range(5,100 km for Tu-22M3 vs. 11,999 km for B-1)->from Moscow to London the distance is 2500km so Tu-22M3 would strugle to do combat missions on some parts of NATO territory in Europe not to mention USA...

@jonumine6250 Enemy targeting via popular on modern batlefields IR devices? The fact that it is not a fire and forget system is an huge issue if you are firing it from a position that can be targeted by the enemmy soldiers/IFV/Tanks...
2
also it makes it not a fire and forget system... like in case of Polish Piorun...

@jamesjohnson427 Piorun is not easily fooled and jammed by ka-52 and have no laser to warn the target + you can fire and forget->aiming your laser on the real battlefield is not so cool when you are siting in the open on a launcher chair not covered by any armor...

@williamzk9083 "Stinger is being Jammed by the Vitebsk V370 DIRCM system." yea, according to Russian claims->the most unreliable source about anything conected to Russia... NATO East border is protected with Piorun and i did not hear any complaining about it being Jammed by the Vitebsk V370 DIRCM system. On top of it new variant is in development to increase number of types of IR sensors in Piorun to 3... "If a laser warning system does not carry a sensor just for the RBS 70 missile, they won't detect the beam." sounds like wishfull thinking considering we are able to detect light reflected and covered by planets that are hundereds of lightyears awey from Earth. "I imagine that when the missile appears smaller than the target the laser can be directed on to target without offset." I imagine that you have no idea that at 8-9km distance the beam diameter will be not so tiny... Playing with guiding beam gonna increase the chance for hit failure and tweaking up sensors on the helicopter/plane gonna bust up the chance for fake allert. Poland have ready lasser guided artilery projectile(APR)... cant wait to hear about Russian helicopter kill with 20+ km artilery shot.

@reggieziet And in your mind you think that what is the readiness of Tu-160 in Russia? Formation of 3x Tu-160 in the air is the max that i was able to find via google image search... "Moscow, Russia. 4th May, 2018. Russian Air Force Tupolev Tu-160 strategic bomber and a Tupolev Tu-22M3 strike bomber aircraft fly in formation during a rehearsal of the upcoming Victory Day air show" Picture of one Tu-160 and four Tu-22M3 and i can bet that they would love to use 3x Tu-160 but were not able because "readiness is low low"...

@ifv2089 "that's almost what AH said, I think he convinced loads of Sheep to repeat it too " Putin convinced many that he would take Kiev in 3 days... 3 years later we watch these fairy tales about the wunderwafe just like in propaganda films of the AH. Not to mention that it is literally a copy of a German wunderwafe from the times of World War II -> German: Leichter Ladungsträger Goliath -> "Goliath Light Charge Carrier" -> introduced in 1942...

And something like 20 years separates them if you compare the electronics... heh

@peterc9243 F-117 legend was just terminated there and in reality stealth legend was terminated in 1963 when fisrt passive sensor was deployed in Czechoslovakia. Nowdays with mobile phones in the pockets of everyone on the ground and thousands satelites above your head its just not posible to not reflect radio waves back to the passive sensors...
