You can see it in 31:39, that small handle is allowing you to open and rotate that small triangular window and push fresh air into the car. AC is making the air in your car dry and here you can instatly enjoy fresh air directly from mother nature... ;)

  2.  @alexanderkupke920  Old radio would be not crapy in both cases because most of radio stations are using frequency modulation not the amplitude modulation system and the frequency would be also a problem for the old radio.
