@smokeshow1984 Heh, every metal have its electronegativity, if you using two metals that have significant difference in electronegativity then one will be working as anode and the other as kathode when water is conecting them, pure water is poor electrolyte but salty water is very good electrolyte so if two metals are electricaly conected and there is electrolyte then you created galvanic cell... On top of that you also want to trow at this electrical power... heh You can use electric power to stop this electrochemical reaction or use it to speed it up but that have nothing to do with aluminum resistance to corosion if the construction is build by someone that have any idea what he is doing. Aluminium resistance to rust is caused by the fact that its rust on the surface is creating cover that is protecting the rest of the metal and steel have other metals already in it as it is an aloy and that is why it is able to rust so quickly if its not protected from water.
