@magisterrleth3129 Germans did not even understand how 7.92×107mm DS projectile work after they captured the riffles... and there is nice videos about ViS Radom pistols and how the quality was going down the more German the production was after they captured production facility->and then moved it to Germany... The best Germans got was their propaganda and their ability to sell the idea that they producing the top notch weapons when in reality they were useing feew milions of horses in Soviet Union for transport... and the legendary Pantera tank got transmision that was unable to survive 100 miles even if the driver was skilled and super gentle with it -> then you were in the middle of Russian fields with transmission that was hidden inside the tank in the very front section of it that got zero removable panels to access that part...

@thebadlander3608 The idea was to dump idiotic amount of energy into small area of the armored plate and that was creating 20mm hardened steel plug out of that place where the energy was delivered, then this plug was bouncing inside the tank unable to escape and was shreding any flesh, ammo or instruments. Skilled shooters were also able to hit betwen the turret and the main body of the tank -> into the turret ring, so the tank was not able to move its turret so then that was tank that was in the middle of battle but unable to do much as it was not able to aim its primary and secondary weapon.

@wendiplays If you using the sword like a hammer then you doing it wrong and it is like no brainer that there should be another layer under your chain mail... it was never used as some type of underwear...

"If it actually hits something, then like you said, it will often do a good bit more damage if it's going a bit slower, because the bullet has slightly more time to affect what it hits instead of practically breezing right through it." hehehe bullet when it travels via air can do it subsonic or supersonic and that is the only real game changer but in general faster it is moving faster it will push everything on his way (air and solid objects)=more energy is transferd=more energy is lost=more damage to object. There is this case when projectile can move with speed of sound of solid material and its different story but bullets from .50 are nowhere near that speeds so its irrelevant. Generaly your and Wesley Howard theory about what is going on with .50 during flight and hit is like alchemy in medieval times, completly out of touch with reality. heh

Flint is hard that is why it can produce sparks(from steel), so yea you should be able to produce sparks with a sapphire(sharp or not).

"I am from Europe, and I will acknowledge that anything shy of 15 cm of dense concrete won't stop an AR bullet. Maybe 10 cm with a lot of iron." 1) the "wall" was not able to stop AR bullet... 2) 10 cm of modern high strength concrete would stop AR 15 bullet without any iron in it and what is more important it would be much cheaper than ballistic panel made out of kevlar... I live in Poland and there is no problem to find home here where you have iner walls so strong that without good hammer drill and good quality drill bits you need like one hour to make one small hole in it. And i am now in home from 1930 and only wood in roof needed to be replaced. You can put in google image search "fahrenheit house" or "nicolaus copernicus house" in USA they building cheap and century later there is nothing left out of your wooden cheap home...
