  1.  @BSell-b1q  "In what way have they had a "smear job"? The vast majority of people in English speaking countries don't even know that the Spanish had a colonising empire, they just think the British were evil and that's it. That's the opposite of a smear job..." Your whole commment is perfect explanation how people here babling about lack of education in case of the people in the video and in the same time they lack even the most basic knowledge about the topic... Protestants promoted completly twisted view of what Catholic Spain and Portugal are doing in colonies to the natives -> that is why people from this colonies have no idea about "the truth" as they were not brainwashed to believe in that exagerated and mostly fake stories. And your complain that they only know about what other countries did is also a hint of the "after the smear job success" AKA all about what British were doing when they got a chance to show that "non-catholic" love that they came to spread and by doing so they literally dwarfed everything bad that limited amount of bad people did before them-> and btw. it was criticized a loot by the Catholic Church to the point that the Catholic Church forbade making slaves of the natives! Catholic Church could not do the same in Africa because they got no influence there... Also love how the very next comment after you is talking about "Spanish inquisition" -> when literally the which hunting and burning people were done on mass scale in Germany and in Britain+British colony aka USA by protestants as Rome was not even recognizing the existance of "magic" as according to them it was against teaching of the Bible... Not to mention that 99% Americans have no idea that the Spanish were first in North America as they forgot to do to the natives what Btisish did->like for example: paying for the scalps of natives->and btw. in American movies they are happy to spread the lie that the natives started do that/was their tradition...
