@m4rvinmartian 1) this is not a container that can hold any significant pressure. 2) even insignificant pressure will gonna change volume of this container. 3) there is a loot of air in this container. Water on our planet have MASS and WEIGHT as we have mentioned by you gravity and it is not "perception". But you are right that when he wants to talk about inertia then he should talk about inertial mass but in the same time mass and weight often have the same value and unit.
