  9. In USA... you forgot to add, in normal country police is not so triger happy. For example in Poland situations when Police is forced to drawn a gun or point it hapening less than 150 times per year and shots are fired in avarage less than 30 times per year and most of them are warning shots.

  19.  @snarkywombat155  Yea but your idea of "standard behaviour for this type of situations" also instantly informs the hacker that his work was discovered and it is not hard to see how that is helping him by giving him info that it is time to clean his computer and/or stop accessing the server, when in reality that old server can be replaced now by a virtual copy that is working as a honeypot(there is a reason why for example police all over the world most of the time not sharing informations with public opinion about anything before they have all that they need to close the case). It is "unethical" if company for example knows that clients passwords are stolen and they are not informing you about it or forcing you to change it... but they are claiming that it is not the case here and noone proved that they are wrong.
