@Monkeynoalko Piast married Masovian princesses(so were partialy Masovian)... and then there's the fact that they were a Lechitic tribe -> just as Polish as the Pomeranians, Silesians, and Polabians who founded Berlin(Lechitic is pre-christian name for Polish people used to this day by Lithuanians, Hungarians and Turkish people). The author omitted that Poland was Catholic for few centuries before the Teutonic Knights insinuated themselves with false promises that they would protect Polish Christians, and instead killed them with the same ferocity as the Prussians.
