@LET4M4RU The US did not lost any of its american territory... and if you for example compare the numbers in Vietnam then its hardly a win for the Vietcong. France could fight in 1939 and Germany would have no chance with France with most of its forces in Poland and unquestionable French superiority in numbers at that time... Adolf estimation of German casualities for 1940 campaign in France was 1 million German soldiers... French was able to kill 5% of that before they surrendered! Germany used twice as much ammo on Poland in 1939 than they used on France in 1940->few time bigger country, protected by Maginot Line and got half a year to prepare themself and most importantly got help from British when Poland was on its own and on top f that backstabed by Soviets in 17 sep. Not to mention that all Polish deffensive positions that Poland was building on the west border for years became useless when French and British provided Adolf with Czechoslovakia in 1938->Germany was able to attack Poland from the Czech territory->what they did and because of that Poland was forced to move back from all the deffensive positions on the west to avoid encirclement.=>Much bigger France attacked from one direction was able to fight as long as much smaller Poland that was attacked from 3 different directions!

@Elzimbabwe. "These soldiers have been doubly punished. Not only did they lose their lives in the Battle of France, but then they lost the battle of our memories," says Charles de Laubier - Dieudonne's grandson and a journalist. I wonder why you are not quoting Erwin Rommel? You know the advise to other tank commanders to startfiring at French positions long before they are in effective firing range as according to him just that was often enough to force French tank forces into surrender... Non French historians to this day have only very limited access to French archives from WW2 as French want to be silent about most of the French actions during WW2.
