  1. China isn't a democracy whatever you or they say. That said, it's a far cry from the really bad dictatorships like North Korea. Mind you, I live in Norway... So from our point of view the US also barely qualifies as a democracy...

  2. Mind doing the same test in a selection of European countries? I think we'd do slightly better, but I'm sure we'd probably still show an embarrassing level of ignorance... I mean myself I'd manage Japan, China, India, Mongolia and the Koreas just fine. And of course Indonesia and Singapore. Cambodia I'd place in the right region but I might struggle with picking the exact country on the map. Likewise with countries like Kazakhstan. Over in the middleeast I'd be able to be more accurate again.
