+dolofonos We do the same thing here in Norway, and I believe Iceland, and the Faero Islands, and Sweden and Denmark. So considering that the practice seems to pretty much universal in our region it's a bit more then just "five of us" that act this way...

+scotpens I think us Norwegians would feel more comfortable with that Quaker practice then all this "Sir"/"Ms" stuff... Although honestly we don't use last names either in the great majority of cases...

+Mean Guy Armor is somewhat overrated. The Panzer 4 F2 did great against most of the tanks it faced. Early war the Panzer 3s where the tanks used to fight other tanks while the Panzer 4s was intended mostly as a infantery support tank. By the time the panzer 4 F2 was developed the Panzer 3s guns where simply not powerful enough to face the tanks that the germans had to deal with and since the Panzer 4 was the only tank chassis able to support a big enough turret for a much bigger gun that's what they went with, so the Panzer 3 lines where turned into infantery support tanks with small howitzers (like the Panzer 3 N) while the Panzer 4 F2 and so one was used against other tanks. Sure you could take it out easily enough, but it was fairly fast and got a good gun and it actually had a radio on board. So if it could get the first shot... That said, early war the soviet tanks where certainly more capable then the german ones.

Michael Coulter The IS-2 did take part in WW2.

You might want to read up more on dinosaur intelligence... Also, remember that brain size (even compared to body size) isn't always that accurate an way to determine intelligence...

+Mulmangcho The Ambitious Yeah, pretty much the same way we do it here in Norway.

+ Matti Kauppinen Interesting, "Herre" is "Lord" in Norwegian. While "Herr" would be used as "Sir". =) And I seem to recall that they use "Herra" in Icelandic in place of our "Herr"? Could be wrong...

+Thor Harald Johansen Yeah, it seems to be that way on the western islands and in Sweden too. Although "handshakes"? That sounds awfully formal, I'd only use that in a work situation, not in a casual situation... And I don't think I know anyone who'd use it in a non-formal situation either... That said, handshakes are kind of interesting as I've noticed that the practice varies wildly between the regions of Norway. In some parts of the country it's slightly offensive to shake hands more then at the first meeting (you're indicating that you don't remember that person), in others you do shake hands more then once and there's nothing wrong with that, in some parts I've never actually seen them do it when not interacting with people outside their region... It's a bit weird honestly...

Archangel17 The Tigers where bad tanks because they where over engineered. And the where definitely not the best tanks of the war. And German mass production actually increased for the whole duration. Look up military history visualized. That channel got videos about German tank production during the war among other things.

So if that's the plural for Mr, then what's the plural for Ms?

Eh, regarding the Y-chromosome... Since women don't have it shouldn't it be theoretically possible for there to be women who don't descend from the Y-chromosome Adam at least for a generation after all other y-chromosomes died out?

I can't answer for Finland, but over here you usually know based on context.

15:32 No, it's not "total shit", not quite my style though. I'm going to subscribe to that channel for a little bit to get an idea about how it'll develop. But we'll see. I'm a bit more into this channel.

Honestly what I hear here is worse then the original video. They're both war criminals and the fact that Americans seems to think this kind of behavior is in any way ethically acceptable (or that death penalty is) is among the least appealing aspects of American culture... If this man had been convicted to death in a court of law that would have been bad enough, but this general took the law into his own hands. The curt just like democracy itself isn't just about the outcome but also about society agreeing that the outcome is acceptable. Democracy isn't about getting the best man/woman for the job but about getting one that won't cause civil war afterwards because people not accepting their legitimacy, and likewise a court of law even when it does something wrong like killing a person at least does so in at way that people accept even if they may hate it and in at way that has at proper recourse through democratic means. Those against the death penalty can work against it by opposing it by democratic means and those that carry it out can know that they won't be persecuted for the act because it was sanctioned by democratic means even if said democracy is doing something that's ethnically wrong. In short, it's the nation at at whole and not the executioner that's at fault for said execution. But when a individual takes the law into his or her hands there are no such protection, no such delegation of blame. The individual is then guilty himself of that act. And there's no objective third party involved in evaluating if his or her evaluation of events where correct or not. No one that can give a stamp of approval from society at large. This... Sickens me...
