@Pointi69 It's more complicated then that, and we here in Europe are aware of that. The EU through its large market has a huge influence on world wide regulations as our regulations tend to be the benchmark used elsewhere in the world, in part to make trade with us easier and in part because we generally having a reputation for a relatively well rounded and sensible laws all things considered. Other countries do look at our laws and make their own spin on them. But ours tends to be the template they start with and they generally aim for at the very least compatibility with our rules.

I like the basic idea. The part about releasing the source training data is perhaps asking for a bit too much though. If that's made a law it should be made a separate law, not a part of this first one. And of course my other concern is the usual... I'm not in favour of the federal model, and believe EU regulations, and decisions are highly problematic, and that opinions, recommendations or at most directives should be used.

@OP It's not us imposing those regulations on you. Yes, EU laws are often used as a template for laws elsewhere, but other countries are still free to make their own spin on them or refrain from using them at all. They choose to follow our lead because people generally feel like that's the best option for their peoples. And no, saying that you're forced to in order to trade with us isn't something you can blame us for. We are not under a obligation to trade with you any more then you are to trade with us. We just happen to be more open to trade with countries around the world then the US, China or Russia is. But we do have rules for access to our markets, just like you have for yours.
