  1. The invention and creation of both is a bit more complex then just "an American invented this" or "a brit invented this"... For instance the protocolls needed to run an internet (a network of different network all using different protocolls themselves) where kind of an international project to make, and at least two of the people involved where Norwegians from what I've heard. That doesn't mean that those norwegians "invented the internet", but that they and several others all took part in creating the little bits and pieces that was required for the internet to actually exist.
