  2. +City Beutiful Trust me, Norway is not going to settle on letting another country host all the winter olympics. While it's true that the current cabinet decided not to back an olympic game I'm fairly sure that one of the next couple of cabinets will. Most of our cabinets since the war have been run by the labour party, a trend I doubt will change anytime soon. They are less reluctant to spend money then the conservatives.

  4. Culdesacs are still space wasting... Cars should be allowed through as well. Use traffic calming instead and put pedestrians, bikers and public transportation first.

  5. The country might not need an advantage when it comes to winter sports... But it's a matter of pride. Leaving all future olympic games to other nations after having a tradition of rotating that role? No, there's too much feelings and national pride involved there... Now, having thinner roads on the other hand or a number of other suggestions you have had? We'll be all for those. ^^

  6. How much would the economy benefit from increased use of public transit in this manner? It would presumably make more cheap labor available in the cities. It would probably lead to the people working there also being less stressed and more capable of doing a good job from the beginning. It would probably reduce air polution reducing medical expenses. It might create jobs too by making people more likely to visit stores etc... It would probably increase land value in certain areas. What else?

  7. 25:38 Welcome to Norway... That kind of snow/ice covered slopes are quite common here. And you just learn to live with them. It's actually not nearly as dangerous as you might think. But it require you to be experienced in navigating that type of terrain.
