There's more factors. Like how much resources did the tank take up from the enemy compared to how much was invested on your side. For instance the tiger vs sherman equation.

I'm not sure if you noticed. But at the end there Japan actually seem to be producing more destroyer escorts then the US is. Of course by then the US seemed to have switched to producing more of other and heavier ships so their total offensive naval power was probably still increasing more then the Japanese naval power was...

+kebman Actually the Norwegian exile government ordered all merchant ships to report to Britain during the war and the exile government was actually paid by Britain for the services of the merchant fleet, helping us to have one of the few exile governments able to keep buying military equipment at a significant scale throughout the war.

Nice video but the Bofors aa guns where among the most effective ones of the second world war and used by the US vs Japan to great effect. So it's strange that you describe them as essentially bad.
