+ milkmandan77 Because leaving the US would leave the country with the strongest military in the world in the hands of the idiots that don't want to change it for the better. Personally I already live outside the US as I'm not a US citizen and living in the US is the last thing I'd ever want. But anyone who is and who have a vote has a responsibility not just to the US and him/herself but to the world as a whole to try to improve the mess that is the united states of america. Otherwise we'll just end up with the equivalent of nazi germany but on the western hemisphere...

+ @mysteriousDSF While you're right that the gulf stream does heat up that whole area it's also true that the climate in the whole region is seriously out of wack... My city much further south then Longerbyen used to be sub-zero all winter with lots of snow but these days we're hardly getting snow at the coast in Norway... We're getting record temperatures pretty much everywhere in Norway almost every winter nowadays...

+ milkmandan77 My sister lives there with her husband, I do not. The US being messed up isn't a view point anymore at this stage, it has reached the stage where it is a objectivly provable fact. And my point was that if he leaves that wouldn't just improve his life but also betray anyone staying behind as well as the rest of the world as the US still have some elements of "democracy" left even if the American implementation of democracy using first past the post is massivly flawed. That's not just a case of my opinion either. That is a explaination of why he and others don't "just leave" like you suggested. Because doing so would be wrong despite their lives at least short term being better.

+@b00ger901Trust me, those of us that paid attention in school know how to use the stars here in Norway... At least the basics like the northern star. We can identify the black spot in the sky to the north near the northern star that's located right on top of our axis of rotation...
