  1. 11:14 The problem is differentiated treatment. All blood donations should require screening etc in my view. A option could be to simply make blood or other organ donations once each 10 years mandatory unless you opt-out with a more or less good reason instead of having a opt-in approach. As for your comment on cronic diseases, I strongly dissagree with you. Then again, I live in a Nordic country, so my background of course colours my views in the matter just like yours do. Regarding medical costs, seriously, the issues with lawsuits and medical cost of treatment of someone with these diseases is microsopic compared to the money wasted by the double payment of medical expenses that the US have due to both paying what other countries would pay pr citizen with tax money and also paying almost as much with private insurances at the same time lining the pockets of that industry. Don't get me wrong, private health care can and do work in many countries, but prices should be negotiated at a collective level at the very least, if the healthcare is not run by the goverment in the first place...
