@acidfruitloops Text is usually better then graphics. That's why books are better than movies most of the time. That said, with this level of complexity having a little bit of graphics to help you out with getting a overview of what's happening is nice. But keeping the graphics at a minimum is still a good thing.

@Nikotheleepic Yeah, graphical games existed when they started this, and they had worked on some before. But they figured that if you wheren't limited by working out how to show things graphically all the time you could get more work done with actually developing the game. And they did. Only read it's graphical and on steam now is that one of them is sick and they need money for among other things health care. So they're finally cashing in on all their work. Otherwise there wouldn't ever have been a reason for them to make it graphical. And their core audience preferes it without graphics or with their own custom tilesets. Not the steam version.

To anyone that think there was any loading screens, no, there's non within the star systems. Everything is streamed on demand. So if you abort a quantum leap between two planets you're in space in between the two points, you can even jump out of your spaceship there and be sruck in the middle of nowhere. As for the "wormholes" ("Jump points" is the in lore term) yes, those can arguably be called loading screens, you can't just leave in the middle of your journey between two star systems and end up in space in between. The engine can only handle 1/10th real world solar system scale in one go, so the space between stars is one bridge too many. But even so you can see that there's space there loaded in on demand that you get challenged to fly to through to get there. So yeah... And limiting the amount of data through the use of wormholes, elevators, winding hallways etc gives the computer time to load things in if it's definitely powerful. If not... Well, you'll walk out into space or fall through the bottom of the planet etc...

@Ivang017 The "story mode" is finally feature complete and in polishing. And the delay was due to technology that didn't exist till literally last week needed to make Star Citizens work.
