  2.  @fintux  Maybe, I don't travel abroad enough to tell. We have a reputation for high prices, but there has always been certain product categories that actually where competitive with mainland Europe here, and cheaper then Sweden. With the fall in the NOK and the high inflation in Sweden they've actually been crossing the border over here to shop for a change (usually it's us going the other way).

  3. I have a induction oven here in Norway. I love it. It's as fast as a electric kettle when I just use a single plate at the max setting. (The two are scarily close in performance though)

  4.  @fintux  Yeah, now is a good time to do so. Norway has had a relatively low inflation by European standards while our currency is also relatively low value right now. So Norway is actually somewhat affordable for foreigners for a change. Don't expect that to last though.

  6. 10:36 1 000 $?!?!?!?!!?!!?! We paid under 8 000 NOK for a combined stove and oven with 4 plates. You can get just stoves for as little as 1 500 NOK if You're willing to wait on good deals and go without the oven and with just 1 or 2 plates... That's less then 150 USD for the ability to cook two pots on a portable induction stove...

  7. How fast a electric stove is depends on the type and age. Old school electric stoves genuinely where slow.
