  3. 14:15 It depends on your gaming genre. Try playing paradox games late game with lots of units etc on different CPUs with more or less cache, IPC and clock speed and you'll see some real differences. Paradox games barely cares about cores. Likewise with a lot of strategy and simulation games (with simulation here I'm not talking flight simulator but world simulations etc). They're just not GPU limited. Also, indi games are often not that well optimized and benefit a lot from more cache.

  4. 12:11 Not exactly. Bulldozer, piledriver and excavator where different architectures, but they where iterations with small changes each as AMD couldn't afford big changes and needed the money for Ryzen anyway...
