Ryzen 7 3700X expected to run at about 65 W vs i9 9900k 170W stock or about 210 W if you run all core 5 GHz turbo with no other OC (in other words not locked 5 GHz, just enabling all core turbo in the motherboard). With that kind of numbers the power draw argument becomes more applicable... Just saying... I bought a R7 1700 to start with in part because of it being a 65W chip.
