+NoriMori Yeah, I'm curious about that as well. To me it looks like there's a small band just above the bottom band but quite a bit below the top band of numbers inside the gap. And they look interesting to me. =)

***** Look at the graph, there are a few numbers there. Even though they're few and far between they seem interesting to us. We'd like to know more about them, because they're so few. And yes, we did understand the point of the video...

skr47ch 無限 True, but only after they've been mentioned x number of times in that encyclopedia they mentioned. Them being in the middle of the gap would only cause them each to be mentioned once more each in the lists I think.

Hey Numberphile, I came across a YouTube video recently about weird base numbers. You guys have covered things like base 2, 10, 12, 20 and 60 etc. However the channel I mentioned did things like base half, base negative two, base two thirds, base the perfect ratio etc. I'm wondering if you guys could look into that. Does it make any sense to you guys?

Heh, I still prefer just using slices... Starting with the 3D shape at fourth dimension position N=0 and then gradually increase N till you've looked at the whole shape. Non of these projections made any sense at all to me...

kapostamas Depends. I can kind sort of visualize quite a few things like that in my brain if I really try hard. As long as they're not too complex... Anyway, I'd still prefer that approach. People simply got different types of logic that they're good at. So presenting both types would be better, so those that are better at this one can use this one and those that are better at slices can use slices.

kapostamas IE 10 won't help me much... I'm a linux user. That said, it seems to work just fine in firefox with IceTea.

+Gregory Parrott Yeah, something weird is going on in the comment field of this video. I don't think youtube likes some of the math someone here is using...
