@Gl-my8fw International law is never irrelevant. For one the US breaking a treaty is illegal by US law. Any president doing so would be in violation of US law as ratified by the US Congress. Secondly by signing that treaty you also accepted that attacks on civilians in the air is an act of war, meaning that you would be the agressor and China or Russia could legitimately nuke you without worrying about triggering NATO if I'm not much mistaken as NATO is a defensive treaty and members are not required to respond to offensive wars (I believe). And finally, it would kind of suck for the US if no US airlines where allowed to fly to abroad. US citizens would have to travel to Mexico or Canada to fly to Europe or Asia if you withdraw from the treaty in question... Like Lichtenstein...

@Gl-my8fw Also sorry, but how exactly did NATO (presumably excluding the US) cause this war?

@itsthenewlifeofsomeone1 True. The Americans can be amazing sometimes. But they're often quite unaware of the world around them. Honestly I feel sorry for them and their education system

@Gl-my8fw The reality is that US defenses against nukes is mostly a illusion, with the systems being deployed and declared ready while in the prototyping stage for political reasons. In a nuclear war with Russia NATO would be destroyed, vs China at the very least the US would be destroyed. China has fewer nukes, but their ICBMs and their supersonic nukes are on average in a better state then the Russian ones. As for corruption... US corruption levels exceed European ones on average... That's not a opinion, it's a testable fact documented by independent third parties... That said, there's definitely individual countries in Europe with corruption levels exceeding US levels...
