  1. There's nothing wrong with a 40 hour work week, we got that here in Norway. The problem is switching over to it overnight. In between all the nonsense of the political right there's some truths sometimes. One of them is that a economy thrives on stability and predictability. Good workers rights, high taxes, high wages, short work weeks etc is all things that the companies can deal with if they just got enough time to plan and adjust. I suggest starting with defining a full job work week to begin with, so people working more then that xan be guaranteed the rights someone fully employed should have. Strengthen pro-union laws. And gradually push for a shortening of that full work week over time. Doing it all in one go would lead to inflation that would hurt workers as much as the rich. Doing it gradually allows the economy to adapt.
