  1. 17:41 Å is not the same letter as "A" with just a mark, it's a completely and utterly seperat letter at the end of the Norwegian alphabet. Indeed our alphabet ends up with the letters "Æ", "Ø", and "Å". All letters in their own right, not modifications of other letters.

  2. 15:47 The second word is the Sami name. They're the indigenous people in northern Norway. Think of them a bit like the native Americans. They've always had a rough time as nordic peoples had metals and a warrior culture while they didn't when we meet them. And we've been gradually displacing and assimilating them at the coast where conditions where suitable for Norwegians, Swedes etc... While Sami culture mainly survived further inland. They have a language from a completely different language family then any other nordic language except being distantly related to Finnish. 16:51 I don't know about that... Often it's western Norway rather than Northern Norway that's in those tourist pictures.
