Having visited Caranten several times and found everyone very friendly and welcoming like in most small French towns. It is interesting to note that the British were not directly involved in the liberation of that town.

@AaRr-bn3xx I totally agree with you regarding the free French / French resistance, they are highly celebrated in many towns in France.

@lyndoncmp5751 I would suspect that this issue is the result of one or two Frenchies who are upset by some Brits rather than anything endemic.
