@thomaseidst3170 I just love the fact that people put this stuff out to wind up idiots into believing it!

@beerbanditriverside3372 Don't even try to use common sense on people who have no sense at all

@thomaseidst3170 I read Joshua Slocum's account of meeting some people like you in South Africa many years ago, his reaction to them was brilliant.
2
@psycodelicrelic1906 Sounds like Disc World to me, although I never read that old twaddle.
2
@beerbanditriverside3372 Talking of boats and sailing far away, have you ever heard of Joshua Slocum? He encountered flat earthers in South Africa many years ago and he had a word or two to say about them!
2
@Michael-ye2se Sadly, they are the only ones recorded in any detail. History is told by the victor or what ever the saying is.

@thomaseidst3170 Speaking of Norway, did you know that if you pivoted it about the southern most point it would reach Rome. Mind you if you honestly believe that the earth is flat then you will have no grasp of such things.
2
@thomaseidst3170 That explains all the nonsense you come out with.
2
@beerbanditriverside3372 You are being far too logical.
2
@davelehti4000 Even Joshua Slocum had a thing or two to say about flat earthers.
2
@thomaseidst3170 Look up the Golden Globe Race and how they are navigating and you will have your proof the earth is broadly spherical.

There are certainly some quite strong arguments for that. One thing that has always puzzled me is how little of the human brain is used (and I am not mocking anyone here). I have always thought that at one time we must have made more use of it, otherwise, why is it so big and so potentially powerful? How could we learn to tap into that power and what might be the outcome? I have seen sci fi movies where this concept has been explored and it does make you wonder, especially when you think of the way that science fact has often been predicted by science fiction?

@abraxaseyes87 Both religions are closely linked to each other.

There was a bit of an idea going round a few years back regarding apparent "gaps" in history, I think around the dark ages. Some of the arguments were obviously rubbish, but a couple of them did actually hold water.

@gumis123PL And maybe even some of the beliefs of other "primitive" peoples such as the Australian aboriginals?
1
@abraxaseyes87 That grew out of the former.

@09afsaenz An interesting way to look at it?

What was 9that Henry Ford said about history?
1
@davelehti4000 I am sure most of these people are just wind-up merchants, no one really can believe it.
1
@MrMOON-pp5ib Day and night are just social constructs forced on us by the giant lizards who want to trick us into thinking planes can take off and land in a different country! Or perhaps the earth is round?

@simonruszczak5563 What was it that Henry Ford said about history?
