Comments by "Roger Smith" (@rogersmith8339) on "The Balenciaga Scandal Keeps Getting Worse | feat. @KellieJayKeen" video.
As someone in the industry, where would you draw the line at selling fishnet tights to or for a young girl? Or a latex mini dress? I am horrified by some of the kids you see round town, but when you see the mothers, you understand why it is happening!

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when you refer to "Cuties" and I guess I really don't want to either. I have seen a programme that went into the child beauty competitions they have in the US and that whole scene revolts me - it is just so very wrong on so many levels, even if there is not "inappropriate conduct" between the adults & kids in legal terms, it is still wrong.

Is it not ironic that you should mention him being a Catholic, given their not so sparkling reputation when it comes to kids?

Most normal people have not and never will have heard of this high end fashion brand. As they say, any publicity is good publicity so this whole thing might backfire.

Up until quite recently, kids in the southern US states were being married off at 13 or 14 - it is still happening in some countries. This however raises an interesting point - in the UK the age of consent is 16 but in most of the US it is older - What should the age of consent be and what should that be based upon?

I wonder how the Russians or Chinese deal with such people? I bet they are far from sympathetic!
3
@sergpie They say that if you remember the 60s you could not have been there. And as for free love in the 70s, not sure I ever got any!

It is quite interesting that you use the phrase "godless ones" - does that include the Catholic priests and their choir boys or those (Catholics) who ran homes for unfortunate young women back in the day? And what about those who follow one of hte other gods from the middle east?
2
@Tuck-Shop Yep - it is people who spoil all "isms" regardless of political or religious, someone will see a chance to abuse it or power grab. Just think how the Romans suddenly took on Christianity and even stole the old religious feast days & symbolism because they saw it as a way to control people.
2
@PiouStarcraft I have not seen the real/ complete advert so in truth am in no position to judge it. If it were not for the podcasts I would never have even heard of the brand. That is why all publicity is good publicity - the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about!

@zapazap Now that really is what I was alluding to, and why some of the moralising in these comments is very judgmental and not constructive.
2
@isitoveryet9525 Perhaps the father brought his child up to not have any idea about the significance of what the teddy was wearing and was therefore not likely to be corrupted? If you think about it, anyone who knows the significance must actually know a lot more about the subject themselves?
2
@airman122469 Would your daughter have known the significance of how the bear was dressed?
2
@josephfisher426 I think you will find that by 23 or 24, an unmarried woman would have been considered an old maid and a burden on her family at that time. Just think of the story of St Nicholas aka Santa.
2
@Tuck-Shop I rather hope that they have better morals than a good few "Christians"!

@Tangarisu There are those who believe in rewards in the afterlife for what others would consider wicked deeds (on both sides of the middle east!)

I just watched a brilliant video called wounded buffalo charges hunter. Nothing about blaming anyone, no left or right, just good old people doing what they enjoy most.
1
@zapazap Now that is exactly the point of me asking. There are those who would say, but the laws are made by the "elite" to control us (being envious of those with power and money). Others would say that the church should not dictate what is moral and so on. What do you see as that line?
1
@zapazap Sorry if my question was not clear enough, maybe I should have said at what age or under what circumstances would you consider it to be acceptable?
1
This lady actually tried to make money from her 4 year old kid! How could anyone do such a selfish thing!

What is the difference between a flat earther and someone who perceives that everything that is not what his political masters tell him is good must be bad?
1
The flat earther really cannot be that stupid as to believe what he is saying!
1
@Ao456kl I did get the impression that it was a "redneck" thing! Weirdly, given my upbringing and background, I would probably be labelled a red neck or white trash in the US.

What on earth is "Cuties" FFS.

@plompfie Please can you give me an idea regarding just what you consider "all other kinds of degeneracy" - I want to know just how degenerate I really am?
1
@plompfie While I totally agree with you that some of the things you list are very wrong I am still not really sure what "Gaslighting" means in the context you use it. Some of the things you list are actually just human nature and have always happened (and always will) although are possibly more widespread due to the internet / social media. Many are driven by the greed of capitalism. Just think, homosexuality was a capital offence in many countries - it still happened. As for the various forms / types of cross dressing, again, this has always happened and is totally harmless when carried out in private, much like BDSM where the motto is "safe, sane & consensual". There are cultures where polyamory / polygamy are the norm and strangely those are some with a very strong family culture. Do you believe that sex should only take place in the marital bed, under the bed clothes, missionary position with the lights out and then only for procreation? Whoever designed the human body may have made a mistake placing the pleasure park next to the sewer works but that is one heck of a pleasure park!
