  2. So many people these days have completely unrealistic expectations. Even when ITV first came on the scene the adverts were there to create expectations. Now you can hardly avoid adverts in one form or another and even the BBC have more than a few "aspirational" programmes that don't exactly help. There is also another side of the coin where you hear people ranting on about the elites and the "you will have nothing and be happy" notion. Now where have I seen both sides of this from the same people?

  3.  @joshuakhaos4451  I guess I had a similar UK version of your upbringing in many ways. What might surprise many quite ordinary people in the UK is, when you look at the net worth of a fairly ordinary couple (like myself and the Mrs) you find that on paper they are just about millionaires (well, have around £1 million odd)

  4. All part of the entitled generation! Sadly there are those who would see denying the kids their phones to be dictatorial and authoritarian. This is where the battle between what is right for some is not so for others.
