I have gone very much the other way - I have become less tolerant as I get older - I once even voted Tory because the local far right party candidate was a knob.

@3rdPartyIntervener If what you say is true, I must be way above average, however this makes me think you are wrong as I was only ever a mechanical engineer doing effectively the same job all my life. I was not very qualified and came from a poor background.

@varsityathlete9927 You only have to look at the majority age group of the protesters to see this? Oh, you are saying that most are under 30?

@varsityathlete9927 There is a lot of truth in what you say, however, most of the older people protesting would appear to be from a group who have always had the radical views compared to most of their peers. They seem to be from a certain socioeconomic group. As for those who are running the country (as in truly running it and not just politicians), a good many of them will not be the older generation and those who are will be the ones benefitting from what is happening.

@elLooto I would suggest it is not a question of being taught to invest for capital as such, but more a question of just wanting more and more because that is what they see all round them.

@dudeistpreist5721 Not really sure where you get that idea from. Most of us grew up without central heating, double glazing, a tiny black and white tv that was hired (that's in the UK). My first car was 2 years older than me! My first property (as the mortgage rate dropped below 10% for the first time in a while) was a tiny studio flat on the edge of Luton (a grim place even then).

I suppose it is very much like those who believe everything a couple of random guys on you tube say? These "presenters" are very much like Thatcher or Blair - they know exactly what to say to get the following they want. Some of it will be quite true and honest but most will have some sort of angle. There are quite a few people who use this sort of "broadcast" for very dark purposes that are not apparent until you start to dig a bit deeper. I suppose that you could say that is my conspiracy theory against the conspiracy theorists!

@frosksdeadteeth5163 To be totally honest, I only have around 10 or maybe 20 years left to live. I could really not give a damn what happens after that. I watch TV with amusement knowing it is not real. I watch the news and see through it for the truth. I know climate change is not caused by humans so I still drive my old deisel 4x4 when I want to and eat lots of meat (very often wild meat). I don't think I have been indoctrinated.

@sylviam6535 Another nipper who really does not know what they are talking about, only copying some line they got from Tik Tok or similar. Politicians have always been dodgy, but when you talk to one of my neighbours/ friends who is Anglo Indian by birth, you realise that our lot are only playing at least it! She is quite surprised we find some of their behaviour unacceptable. I just hope our new PM is a little better than he could be.

@MegaSpideyman Nor does them saying "How They’re Indoctrinating the Boomers" - A good few of us are more than able to make up our own minds (it is what we were brought up to do!) whereas many of the younger generations just want to follow some trend or other, however daft it might be.

@apartridge4582 For a change it was my own bed I woke up in this morning LOL! I do understand what work is, having been in full time employment in productive work all my life until I recently retired. Do you know why I retired? Because the place was being run by useless accountants who had no clue about the industry I was in. All the managers were equally useless and of the same generation as these two guys. The companies I worked for are now all having problems getting people who know what to do and are willing to work at it.
